Thai Express is my favorite Thai place. It’s near my office, and we typically order carry out and even order it for our customers. Their pad Thai and their chicken fried rice dishes are excellent. The thing that separates Thai Express from other restaurants is there Pad Thai is not dried out and they do a great job with the flavor and spice level. You get a good size portion for a good price. There is multiple people in my office and customers of mine that now say Thai Express is there favorite Thai restaurant.

Gross! doesn’t deserve 1 star! Everything’s soupy! waste of damn money! I just hope I don’t get sick from tasting it before throwing two whole boxes of food in the TRASH!

I love this place! I have been going there regularly for a few months now. The owners are very friendly and the food is always made fresh when you order. I usually get the Pad Thai, Pad Khing, Drunken Fried rice, and potstickers(dumplings). I’ve had Pad Thai from Howell to Toledo, and this place has the absolute best! Note: Their«Hot» is the hottest spiciness I’ve had anywhere, so if you’re not used to eating raw ghost chiles, you should stick with the«medium». There is a huge step in heat from med to hot. TRUSTME! I ordered the hot on two different occasions, and I had a stomach ache and hiccups from the heat. No joke.

I find the food decent and haven’t had an issue with either take out or dine in. However, there are times where you can call and call and no one picks up. Hours shown on menu are not accurate at times and I wonder if they close whenever they want

I love it here! The prices are very good, the portions are liberal and the food is great. At all the Chinese restaurants in town, the meat is often stringy and dubious-but never at thai express. The menu is simple, straight forward. The meals are freshly and quickly prepared right in front of you, and they are always willing to customize your order.

Bad… Really bad. If other reviews compare this to authentic Thai food they have no idea what they are taking about and must enjoy the taste of plain noodles with oil. I wanted to like it and tried simple standard options in pad thai and drunken noodle. Pad Thai was 2lbs of plain noodle, no chicken, egg, bean sprouts etc. Drunken noodle was defiantly cooked in the same batch as the pad thai no difference. A coconut soup was sour. Painfully so and was all onion. The building looks sad and rusted and the food does as well. Major disappointment, better or even decent options are available elsewhere.

Great Food at a great price! Any of the noodle dishes are massive, I eat more than anyone I know and I can make 3 solid meals out of 1 one them. All I have to say is be careful ordering the peanut noodle because you might end up ordering it 3 times a week like me! Only downside is their pad thai is not my favorite, other than that everything is great. Especially the peanut noodle!!!

I go to Thai restaurants everywhere I go. I’ve even spent a few weeks in Thailand and I think this is one of the better places for Thai food. This place doesn’t look like much but the food is very good. Their peanut curry is hands down the best peanut curry I have ever had. The egg drop soup and crab Rangoon are really good too. I eat here all the time. I do not understand the bad reviews. To give this place one star is just flat out unfair and bitchy.

I was craving Pad Thai and my fiancé and I decided to try a new place. I wish we didn’t… There was no flavor and maybe 3 small pieces of chicken! Very disappointing!

Been coming here for some time now, and can only say I have had 2 below average experiences. The first: an error in my spicy tolerance(ordered mega ultra hot). The second: well, just a bad day I guess. BUT! Do not be led astray by these 1 star-biased snobby people. This place is not that bad. It’s actually pretty tasty. Fair warning, when you order your plate with chicken, beef, shrimp, etc.(for an extra charge nonetheless) don’t expect much more than a dash of said extras.

This place used to be really good, but today it sucked. I haven’t been in awhile and wish I didn’t go today. Egg drop soup taste like salty dish water, my daughters noodles with brown sauce made her sit in Home Depots bathroom for about 45 minutes with diarrhea and my mom felt nauseous the rest of the day. Thanks Thai express next I’m liking for a good bowel cleansing we will come back other wise never again.

Very delicious and quick. Limited seating. Daughter had Pad Thai, I had curry and we loved it. Big portions too.

The worst. This place needs to remove the name Thai food and call it slop. When I told the owner how I was disappointed with the food she just walked off. Why DOES Brighton support this dump. Because they don’t know real THAI if they did this place would be a shor store.

Truly the best Curry Noodle I’ve had in a very long time! My boyfriend’s Pad Thai was so so, but I’d be willing to give it another try… Looking forward to trying more noodle dishes and one of their fried rice dishes next time! Well done, Thai Express!

I seriously do not understand the poor reviews, I’ve eaten a lot of Thai food and this place is good. It’s the best you can possibly do in the area unless you feel like driving to Ann Arbor. I get the pineapple fried rice and pad thai all the time and I love it. It’s a bit of a hole in the wall, really not meant for sit down but who cares because the food is good.

Called in for a carryout order – was greeted with just a «Hello.» I wasn’t even sure I had dialed correctly! It was a very short, almost rude interaction – I guess I’m used to some prompts like«What type of meat? How spicy?» I had to offer those details on my own once there was some awkward silence. So my pad see ew came with thin noodles – I should have looked at a menu before I order because I have never had it come with thin pad-thai like noodles, I was pretty disappointed. It tasted pretty okay but as the next day’s lunch(which really, Thai food is some of the best leftovers ever)… it was not good at all. The dark sauce became kind of clumpy too once reheated. I can see myself giving Thai Express another chance in the future, but it’s not at the top of my list anytime soon. They’re also only open from 4−8pm on Saturday… whaaa?

I see the not so good reviews on here, but I have to say my take out was great. Since I got takeout I can’t speak too much about the service, but the food was great. I got tofu pad thai, pad see ew, and chicken and cashews. Everything was super delish especially the pad see ew. This place made it with skinny noodles, I’ve only ever seen it with wide noodles so that was a little different but very tasty. It’s definitely not a high class joint, it’s an order at the window type of place, but I’d definitely be interested in eating in and seeing if the food is even better right off the stove top!

Though I will be back in Thailand later next week, I had to get my Thai craving in advance. With me in Brighton today with some business, I spotted Thai Express and stopped in for a sample. Small place in a corner shopping with convenient and ample parking. Dined in for lunch. Ordered the Gang Pha which is described as «Sliced bamboo shoots, baby corn, eggplant, and string beas cooked in a Thai red curry sauce». It comes with a choice of Hot& Sour soup or Egg drop. I opted for the H&S. The Hot and sour soup wad remarkably good. Rich, thick… hot just right and soured more than other places. The Gang Pha curry was served up in about ten minutes. I knew right away had a hood chance of being authentic by the aroma of Nam pla(aged fish sauce) which was profound. That’s okay with me, but might turn off some others. The dish itself was fair. Chicken was a little gamey and tough. Sauce was mild for ordering it «medium-hot». Way too much bamboo shoots as their taste over powered the curry. Green beans were very wrinkly: either cooked well in advance or were not fresh. I wasn’t impressed overall by this dish. An adjacent table had some Pad Thai which looked pretty good. When I am in Brighton again, I’ll give them another try.
