Michigan Shooting Center

Coming at this from opposite the previous Unilocaler… been to the shotgun range many times, never the rifle/​pistol range. But, as far as public shotgun ranges go, this really is as good as it gets in SE Michigan. Lots of games (trap, skeet, 5 stand, sporting clays), generous hours of operation, never hard to get a field/​clays spot (though the SC course can get a little backed up at times). Several times when I’ve come alone I’ve been able to join another party for trap/​skeet with no problem, but if no one else is going out, the folks there will gladly pull just for you.
Several certified shotgun instructors on staff there. I’ve taken lessons with a couple and found them helpful, and their fees are quite reasonable.
Nice clubhouse at the site with clean restrooms and snacks/​drinks, along with various shooting accessories, for sale. If you head up there on a weekend, you might want to check their site to see if a tournament is being held, which can close off some shooting areas to the public.
If you live anywhere in the vicinity, you owe it to yourself to come here and up your shotgunning game!

Nice place to practice marksmanship. No complaints. Haven’t tried the shotgun area (yet).
