I wanted to like this place, but was honestly not impressed. Their cheese selection was pretty pedestrian and over-priced. Lots of flavored cheddar and Beemster, which you can find a Meijer, these days. I recommend taking a trip to Plum Market or Whole Foods in Ann Arbor if you really want cheese. They have a much wider selection and aren’t quite as over-priced.

I asked for a sample plate of several cheeses. I’m in love with this place. the Cotswold cheese is a must have!

Main Street Cheese is truly a great addition to downtown Brighton. It’s unique, Jenny, the owner, is extremely friendly and helpful, and the products are top-quality. I enjoy going in for a crêpe(sweet or savory — sweet is my favorite!) and/or gelato. Everything is always delicious and it’s never failed to be a great experience.

This place is really cute. I was here on a Sunday, and the owner was here behind the counter with her son, Jake. Jake is a great addition to the shop. The crepes were delicious, and everything else smelled great too. I like the family atmosphere and the coziness.

Cheese. Wine. Beer. Crepes. Gelato. If any of those things interest you, then you have found the right place! It has an eclectic décor that always has your eyes finding something new. We sampled some gelato flavors like salted caramel and raspberry. We started into the 2 cheese coolers at all of the offerings. We ate my favorite style of crepes: lemon juice and sugar. They were crispy and delicious. The employee was friendly. It was a fantastic stop while walking around the cute little town of Brighton.

Upon entering, it looks like a really cool place. Nice little sitting area, and good selection of wine and cheese. Nice gal behind the counter but SWEETMOTHER! I about went crazy. To whomever left the new girl to mind the store, on a beautiful Saturday night, DON’T DOTHATAGAIN. Yes, she can run the register and make a crêpe, but can she manage more than one customer at a time? NO. Counter girl was cutting my cheese, and was none too quick, which is fine, but I told her take a min to check out people that had lined up at the register and were clearly getting irritated at the wait. There was one lady that just wanted a coke, tossed down her money and stomped out the door, but the couple at the register didn’t check out, they were ordering. Which was fine if she would have taken their order, finished mine, but she just starting cooking their order! In what world is it more appropriate to spend 20 mins cooking crepes instead of taking another 3 mins to cash out the lady w just the cheese?! She was doing her best, but was clearly clueless how to prioritize. I should have walked out, but I since I opened my mouth, and she had already cut my cheese, I stayed. I guess it doesn’t pay to be nice. Owner/Manager — please show your new people how to properly manage/prioritize more than one customer at a time. I might MIGHT give this place another shot at some point but I am still seriously annoyed.

Did not eat Crepes here, really wanted to, but the price of crepes plus drink plus a side(yes we were hungry) was outside our desired price spend for breakfast. We ate breakfast elsewhere(liked it for less) and came back for cheese. Great counter help(and I hear the owner is even better!!!) loved the samples and bought 6 cheese selections from the tastings to take home for a party later. Oh and as for the one negative review, there is a lot more to sample than Parm and Parmigiano-Reggiano. Excellent cheese shop in downtown and Brighton is lucky to have it.

I was SO happy when this place opened up, the crêpes are fantastic, and they have a wide variety of both sweet and savoury choices. They have a pretty cool selection of wines.

Highly recommend taking advantage of this little gem in Brighton — they have amazing cheeses and very friendly owner — she helped me out with a last minute request and even let me borrow a platter to make my event special — she even gave me some of her balloons! You don’t find this level of customer service very often — thank you!!!

I hate to be a snob but when I see a cheese shop I think«Oh goody I will be able to buy parm rind for my marinara, soups, and stews»! Think again all you chef’s in the area you will pay $ 21.99 per lb for parm rind! The part that gets me is that customers who just want to buy parm are paying for the rind which to most is inedible! Costco has parm with rind on for $ 15.99, not fresh cut, but nothing a little room temp can’t cure!

The crêpe menu looked amazing with a broad charcuterie selection. The crêpe that ordered looked quite good. My biggest issue with this place is that the woman making my crêpe did not use gloves! She used the cash register, touched money, then made my crêpe without gloves or washing hands. Gross. My boyfriend doesn’t care about things like that, so he ate it and said it was delicious. I wont go there again.

Delicious CREPES! Stop in and have a crêpe. They have sweet and savory. The selection of cheeses is amazing and there are many offbeat beers and wines, too. There’s also ice cream and some gourmet type grocery items. Cute jewelry items, too, at great prices! There are not many seats here(or outdoor seating that I noticed), so this may be problematic at lunch time when the new office building opens up. But not for me, I’d wait in line and stand up and eat here in a heartbeat!

I love this place. They carry a great selection of high quality cheeses that you aren’t going to find anywhere else in town. I’m particularly fond of very sharp Cheddar, and they carry one of the best I’ve had in a long time. They also carry several gelati flavors, make crepes(sweet and savory) on-demand, and carry a variety of wines, beer, and other delicacies that you could only find in a shop like this. This is a great place for that cheese-n-meat party tray or that unique culinary gift for someone looking for some adventure. This place is a real gem in downtown Brighton.
