The other reviews have it right. With few choices in Brighton for the steakhouse experience, it’s packed on a weekend. I believe the owner or GM banks on the supply-demand factors to keep them in business. That will only last so long. A dying location. My second Star was for the free meal I got after watching my wife and kids eat. :) The Manager was smart enough to do that.

Wife and I just spent a mostly unnerving 12−½ minutes there. First thing, the host says«how many for ya?». What? How about«two of you tonight?» One of the first things the server told us was that the rolls would be there in just a few minutes. After we finished our soup and salad, we noticed there were still no rolls. Waiter said the cook had mistold him but they’d be on their way in another four minutes. About that same time, we heard someone at the next table say their steak was undercooked. Granted, that happens, but there’s the cook trying to fix up a plate and talk on his cell phone at the same time, while two servers were standing there watching and waiting for him. The customer to help ratio in that place was less than 1.5 to 1. Problem was the average age of the help was too young. This stupid service industry speak keeps getting worse. Are we ready to order? How many for ya? The latest? «What can I get started for ya?» That shit spreads like wildfire. I heard the last one for the first time less than a week ago and have heard it at least twice since then. OMFG.

The worst, and I mean WORST customer service by a manager I’ve ever encountered! We were there on Nov 6 for my mothers birthday, NEVERAGAIN. once we were seated, it took 15 minutes before a server arrived, ordered our adult beverages, that only took another 30 minutes, but the worst part, after we sat there for 30 minutes, the bartener had some friends walk in, and waited on them with in 5 minutes before he made our drinks. Complained to the manager, and he could care less. Out martini’s were ½ full, OH but the martinis the bartender served his friends were full to the rim. Then the manager(if that’s what he really was) avoided us. I’ve had issues in the past with lone star, but always give them another chance. At least past managers had customer service skills and apologized and checked on us before we left. OH by the way, the martinis were the worst I have ever had, didn’ even drink it, nor were we offered anything else or at least take it off our ticket… I do give our waiter a 10 for trying to trouble shoot, he took good care of us.25% tip for him. Next step, email to corp. The Lone Star in Thornton on 120th is awesome. Apple Bee’s is just down the street. Awesome CS.

3 stars only because of the food when it’s cooked right. The waitstaff staff is in need of better listening skills as well as the cooks here. It’s quite unfortunate that the manager doesn’t seem to care a lot either. You go to a restaurant to eat dinner with another couple, before going to a event. Allowing time for travel, because I really enjoy eating my meal last while everyone else is finished. NOT! Not a very satisfied customer

I do not recommend this restaurant. I had not been in years, the food taste like they totally have given up. Corporate greed has taken over and it is evident in the lack of quality.

The food was ice cold. We waited over 45 minutes for our main meal. Two Hamburgers ordered one medium, one well. Both were red not pink but red inside. I ate mine even though it was cold and French fries were hard and cold but my daughter in law had cut hers in half and they took it and said they were going to cook another one but instead they just put the first one back on the grill and when the waitress asked her to cut it lo and behold it was already cut. The same burger this time burnt crisp. Will not go there ever again.

4 stars solid. Birthday reservations in the Alamo. Appetizer, soup and the entrée was all good. My Long Island instead of the Rita I ordered was ok. Pictures will help those to decide. We vouched for the Wednesday trio meals. High expectations? Is not required it’s another chain restaurant. Your 5 star suit and tie is not here, don’t highly expect limo service here.

Husband and I have eaten here 3 times: 1 lunch and 2 dinners. And every single time I have had to send my meal back because it was not cooked right. Last Friday it was the bacon wrapped sirloin. I asked for medium-well. The server set my plate down and there was bloody juice on the plate. 1. When meat«rests» the juices come out a bit-but should not have been blood-tinged. 2. When the bloody juice comes out-the french fries turn pink with it. So yeah– I sent it back. 3. When the server brought it back, the cook had taken it off the plate and re-grilled the same piece of meat. Now the bacon was burnt. Ok– I can peal that off. But the worse part is: they put it back on the same freak’n bloody plate with the pink french fries that are now COLD!!! You can’t afford a clean plate and hot/fresh french fries??? Of course my husband is done with his dinner while I sit a wait and play musical plates with 2 different servers. So disappointing… Of course the Manager came over to our table, but at this point does it really matter? He didn’t offer to comp anything… Maybe his time would be better spent on teaching his staff: quality and consistency… If you all sat through an episode of Gordon Ramsay-you would know the difference between being mediocre and being outstanding…

Each time I eat there something happens. I sometimes say something, sometimes I don’t. Asked for NO mushrooms on plate(husband is allergic to them) we got a double dose of mushrooms on plate. Manager did fix and comp his meal. Went in with friends to have a drink and dinner. Sat up at the bar and the waitress were so busy flirting with the men behind the bar that service sucked. Then the manager comes out yelling at his staff in front of customers. I would of told him to «F» off and walked out the way he talked to them. But, nothing was done about the girls all flirty with the bartenders. My son wanted a steak and with the blizzard I gave in and came here. Well, not just one time, not two, but 3 times we had to send back his silverware because they were GROSS. Not talking like spots on them, but food! REALLY? The girl that was helping my waiter just laughed and shrugged her shoulders. The manger seemed like she was gonna address it but by then it makes you wonder how clean our plates were. The last time I went on my birthday we had a new waiter. HE was good. He was tentative and made sure our table of 3 was taken care of. So, I have had some bad times here but my steak is good and so was my drink:)

This place was good when it opened, since then it has gone down hill. The servers all seems to do their jobs well but the kitchen screws everything up… Way to much seasoning in the rice to where it’s spicy, chives on a sweet potato — who does that?, over cooking meat, over cooking green beans… We go with our family of 6 and there is ALWAYS something wrong. Everywhere around town even Village Inn has a more reliable track record for getting your food and having it prepared correctly. Nothing worse than paying 14 – 25 bucks a person and having a mediocre dinner. Come on Lonestar!!! You’re better than this, Aren’t you? And where the peanuts!?!

Tonight, Paul, a manager at the restaurant, called to personally apologize for my ordeal after reviewing this comment. It’s great to know these comments are reviewed by someone who can/will make a difference. Not quite ready to go back, but a sincere apology was really nice. I picked 1 star because I was unable to pick 0. I went to the restaurant to place an order to go. I had an awful experience from the moment I walked in the door, and the more I’ve thought about it, the angrier I have become. I was ignored at the door, while three hostesses assisted a group of three make plans for a larger group that appeared to have a reservation, though their table was not yet ready. When the hostess finally acknowledged me, I told her I wanted to place a to go order. She pointed at the bar as she walked away. She never said a word to me. The group in front of me went to the bar and ordered drinks while waiting for their table. There were two other men at the bar eating, and a table nearby that the bartender appeared to be helping. She acknowledged the party in front of me, took drink orders and made their drinks, refilled the four other glasses and left the bar area for a few minutes before she said anything to me. When she came back, I told her I wanted to order«to go» and needed a menu. She directed me to the hostess(she also just pointed, without saying anything). When I told her the hostess sent me to her, she begrudgingly tossed a menu at me. I waited for approximately 10 minutes for her to come back. No other people came to the bar, and she had four other drink orders that came in while I waited to order(2 beers, a glass of wine, and a premade margarita). When I finally ordered, she stood in front of me to enter the order. The hostess came over to ask if she was taking other«to go» orders and she complained, while standing directly in front of me and entering my order, about being the«to go» order taker and how she did not want to do it. She told the hostess she already had one — pointed at me — so «I guess I can» take the second. She was unpleasant and clearly upset and put out with having to take these orders. I ordered a diet coke while I waited. She pulled a glass from somewhere under the bar, and filled it — half way– with coke and about 6 ice cubes(not an exaggeration!) The glass was filthy — it had crusted food and fingerprints on the outside and when I grabbed a straw — she did not give me one — and stuck it in the glass, it hit food particles on the inside that began floating to the top. Disgusting!!! She brought me my food which was two entrees and an appetizer. She threw everything in one bag, so it was all on its side. My salad was opened and some had spilled out into the bag. I ordered a sirloin dip sandwich. The au jus was in a small container, which was also on it’s side in the bag, spilling. I asked for a second bag — and made sure my order was correct as I re-bagged my food. My order was not correct — and I had to wait for mushrooms. She did not ask for payment, nor did she tell me the total. As I was waiting the add on mushrooms for a filet, she told me she had ordered the mushrooms and there was a «language problem» preventing them from coming out. She asked the manager to go get the mushrooms — he did and she said she thought the language problem would be corrected by the manager. I do not know what she meant by this, but as a Hispanic woman,(I later talked to the manager who appeared to be a Hispanic man) I found her comment to be pushing the boundaries of propriety. After I received the mushrooms, and re-packed my food, I still had to ask for the bill.(All of the food(except the mushrooms) was thrown into one bag by the bartender. This barely fit into two bags when I re-bagged it!) When I got home, the food was a mess. I do not know if she is the one who boxed my food, but whomever did, did so haphazardly. My salad(some of which was in the bag since it was thrown in on it’s side and the container not closed) had no salad dressing. Cheese Fries did have a dressing — but that plastic container had no lid and had spilled over and soaked into the fries. The filet was supposed to be medium rare but came with no red to it. The rolls,(of which there were three — though only two entrees were ordered) did not come with the honey butter. Finally, and worst of all, the sirloin dip had a very long, blond hair in it. This completely ruined my meal! Also, I tried to complain but could not get through on the phone, and the email«contact us» option does not recognize the Brighton restaurant as a valid address, so I could not send the email. Just one more thing that didn’t work with this restaurant. The restaurant is convenient and generally empty(as it was tonight) so I stop in on rare occasions. I will not be going back.

We ate here with some friends that chose this restaurant. It was acceptable, but nothing memorable or really that good. I ordered the lunch grilled chicken with a sweet potato. The chicken was edible and was seasoned, it was just very dry. The sweet potato was good, it looked a little strange but it was ok. I only wish they would’ve told me that it came drenched in butter and brown sugar. I ordered what I did because it seemed like one of the healthiest and lightest things on the menu. I would’ve enjoyed the sweet potato if it was served with those items on the side. The service was great, the restaurant was pretty much empty, but she was attentive and friendly. It took a while for the food, which was strange since there was maybe two other tables seated. Mediocre all the way around.

Went today for lunch. I ordered a burger with well done fries and my wife got the chicken breast with green beans. It took 45 minutes to get our food and when it came it was lukewarm, my burger lacked the bbq sauce it was supposed to have and the fries were barely cooked. The chicken breast was very small but at least it was warm. Mediocre service from the waitress, average lukewarm food and no bargain on the prices either. No apology for the very slow service or improperly cooked meal. DON’T INTENDTOEVERCOMEBACK!

I came here after a 7 hour flight. We had a big party and had the back room. The tables were set up kinda weird. 2 rows, and we say on the outskirts and the servers came through the middle. The food took quite a while, however, we must have had 20+ people. The burger was delicious and made just right! =) their sides were tasty too. Staff seemed a bit frazzled with the size of our party.

We stopped here to meet with friends. Have been to this Lone Star a few times over the years. At this lunch visit we were disappointed that the quality isn’t what is used to be. I remember the salads used to be amazing, but was nothing to write home about this visit. The grilled chicken was rubbery, and the fish and chips were uninspiring. I also remembered that in the past bread was served to the table. Maybe this is a change, but it was missed. Hopefully it was just an off day?

Decent food. Inattentive waitress. Manager was friendly though. Typical chain steakhouse; nothing new. Too noisy. Had to ask for the music to be turned down at least three times.
