Got my first shellac manicure here two weeks ago from today. As of today, I have only 6 nails left with polish on them. I work with girls who get shellac manicures all the time and they always look the same as they did when they first got them done, just grown out. My nails were peeling up from the sides and bottom. Very dissatisfied with how my first shellac experience turned out.

Before I started coming to Jasmine Nails about two months ago, I would always go to Nail Salon Tech. I am so glad that I switched to this place! The nail technicians are all very friendly and do a great job at giving you exactly what you want. Since I began coming here, I have always had the same person do my nails(a younger man, likely in his 20s), and he has been awesome! Very chatty and personable, and he does such a great job on my acrylics. Plus I only get charged $ 16 for a fill! Can’t beat that price! The only downside is that it takes about 40 – 45 minutes to complete a fill and polish, so if you’re in a hurry, this might not be the place for you. However, quality nails take time and care! Also, they sometimes close early(by an hour or two) if they are getting slow, so I’d recommend calling beforehand to ensure they do not close up before you get there.

Seriously the worst manicure I’ve ever had and delivered with attitude. I travel for a living and have gotten manicures all over the country. This place looked clean and had OPI. Sadly that’s where it stopped the staff either didn’t speak good English or was more interested in lunch. I saw some cute holiday nail designs and decided to get a couple but they didn’t have the colors in gel(this was figured out after thy put the wrong color on) so I said use the regular colors. After much fooling around they informed me that the designs were old so could I pick the colors. Seriously. I then just got a regular manicure with plain red. The tech didn’t apply base coat. When I pointed that out top coat was offered!!! Huh? Seriously a mess.

I’ve been here a few times & had ok pedicures. Today was by far the worse. I was there for less than 20 minutes & the polish job was pretty bad. Thank goodness it’s my own color, so I can touch them up. My heels always need a little more love because I wear heels & run, but I do a better job smoothing them out at home. Just a disappointed after a few decent trips. I think I’ll only go there again when I’m desperate.

I’m surprised at some of the negative comments on here — my experience was nothing but positive. I went to Jasmine’s at the recommendation of my hair stylist. It’s beautiful inside! I called on Friday at 5:30& they were able to get me in for a 6:30 appointment. They were very friendly, although I’m a bit shy so brought something to read so I wouldn’t have to talk much. The pedicure was great and I didn’t feel as if they were looking down on me, which is the way i felt at the place I used to go last summer. I apologized to the guy doing the pedicure, since it had been 6 months or so since my last pedicure and he was super nice in response. I have definitely found my new pedicure salon & will give them my business in the future.

This was my first visit, and my last. I took my daughter with me to have mani and pedis done. They could not do us both. And they were rude. Very rough with my 7 year old. 30 $ for her to have a crappy Mani and pedi. I had to ask for him to let her soak her feet. He didn’t speak to her the entire time. I’m so mad I didn’t pull her out and go somewhere else. So disappointed. Won’t go back EVER

Jasmine Nails looks a lot nicer on the inside than on the outside. The interior is peacefully decorated and is extremely clean. They are also able to take walk-ins so that’s nice. The pedi-cure I got was OK. The massage chair and whirlpool were clean and comfortable and they had a big screen plasma tv programed to the travel channel. The woman who did my nails was very pleasant and gave a great foot and calf massage. My two qualms are: 1. The actual pedicure– i.e. trimming, cleaning buffing and painting wasn’t that great. When the colored dried my nails were different shades. Also she didn’t buff the nail out well enough, so there were grain of sand like bumps that showed up in the finished product. 2. The price wasn’t amazing either. It could just be the area, but $ 26 is a lot for a pedicure. In Chicago you can get one for $ 15 – 20 dollars.
