We came here with visiting parents. It was a great quick and easy meal. Anything you would expect from a diner is at this location. It’s no surprise that this is a big hit among college students and sports fans before games. Burgers, dogs, chicken, fries, sandwiches, etc. All there for you.

Nick Lachey ate here once in his prime. That’s basically all you need to know about this place unless of course you’re a rational human and want to know something relevant about this place before you eat here. So heres how it normally goes. I whip into this place expecting a high five from management because let’s face it, I’m basically a celebrity at this point. Unfortunately, nobody is there to match my extended hand, so I pretend my nose had an itch and slide my hand into my pocket — snag up my cellie. Check my Instagram– no new likes. Swallow sadness. Walk to the counter. They have this chipotle chicken sandwich that’s pretty tight. I’d get that I guess.

Eagle’s Deli is a tough place to rate. While the food is average the staff is friendly, helpful and want to be there, which improves the experience. A stop a Eagle’s Deli brings a fun, upbeat atmosphere filled with students from local colleges who come here for value, which you can count on. Still, don’t expect gourmet or anything you’ll leave thinking it was the best you’ve ever had. If Five Guys had breakfast and sandwiches, too, this would be at par. Meanwhile, it’s light years better than fast food. Eagle’s Deli uses appearances on TV(for their massive burger challenges) to keep new customers coming through the doors. Many customer notice photos of those who have been victorious in one of the challenges and think the place must serve amazing food. It’s a great marketing tool. If you want to split a $ 20 to $ 65 burger with a few buddies and see if you want to stuff your face until you nearly puke, you’ll have a blast here. Meanwhile, beyond the challenges and affordable prices the food remains average. Sure, it’s much better than fast food, but it’d be a stretch for anyone to say anything on the menu is the best they’ve ever had. Still, for those looking for a quick meal — and one that comes off a grill or out of the deep fryer — you’ll leave full here without draining the wallet. We haven’t been here for breakfast, but any of the burgers and sandwiches will leave you content. It’s a simple, easy place to grab a quick bite.

Consistently good food. Nothing to write home about but that’s not what I’m expecting from this place anyway. The people who work there are really nice and always get the order right. Fries are always really greasy which is a downside. Overall, it’s a good place to get your typical college food for a good price.

Full disclosure: I have only ever had breakfast here but the breakfast is on point. Whether you go with the pancakes or the breakfast sammies it’s all very tasty and super fast service. Don’t expect anything fancy, this is a diner-esque breakfast but it’s really good quality and a great value. Coffee leaves a bit to be desired but you can’t really expect a place like Eagle’s to be nailing that category so just swing by Starby’s after if you need some caffeine. As a non-college student living in the area I am used to fighting through the hoards of BC students but if you aren’t in the mood to be in a sea of college kids you might want to pass on Eagle’s.

This place is definitely a great option for a night out… The food hit the spot. It’s located in a cute little spot with limited seating. I feel like as a younger crowd we like to eat our food and take our time and hang out. The one time I have been the wait was quite long. I don’t think it was anyone’s fault except for the fact that the place was just busy. If I was up in that area again I would probably go again after a night out.

By far the the top 3 best restaurant when it comes to value. They have excellent food for a great price! I recommend the The Zoo if you like chicken! Their burgers are also pretty good.

I’ve been here multiple times before Boston College Football games with a group of other guys. We have always had great meals there, some were breakfast type and some were lunch type but they were all good. It gets busy and is sometimes tough to find a seat but the prices are good, the food is good, plenty to eat every time.

Eagles deli is like home. Comfortable, reliable, and great food. I will continue to come here for the rest of my life. I will eat everything on their menu some day. Starting with breakfast. Today I decided to order the egg white delight with regular eggs, instead of the egg whites. It was, as the me suggests, a true delight. Savory and green, this dish has quickly become a breakfast favorite for me. LOVEIT!

Sandwiches are always great here. Like their Reuben, Ranch Burger and Tuscan Panini. Their fries are good too. But they charge for a deli pickle. Really? It use to come standard with the sandwiches.

You want a great burger and fries in the Brighton area? Go to Eagle’s Deli. I mean, if Nick Lachey from 98 Degrees has been there, how can you NOT go, am I right? But in all seriousness, I had The New Yorker, a burger with perfectly-cooked pastrami, Swiss cheese, and brown mustard that all just melted together in deliciousness. Their fries were also great, which is just as important to me at a burger place as the actual burgers themselves. I can’t see myself stopping in Brighton again for anything, but if I do, I’ll definitely make way way to Eagle’s Deli again!

What can I say about the legendary Eagle’s Deli. I first heard of it when I saw it on Man vs. Food on the Travel Channel and when I moved to Brookline I had to give it a try. The first time I went I got the mushroom burger with cheese and lettuce and fries. After my first bite I claimed it was the best burger I’d had in my life. I’ve had my fair share of burgers in my time and I’ve even created my own and won awards for it and this was simply fantastic. The fries were crispy and delicious as well. Just an absolutely satisfying meal and for a reasonable price at that. I’ve also gotten the mozzarella sticks which were definitely on the higher end of the spectrum. Got a meal delivered and they were still hot and cheese still melted. Delivery took probably an hour but delivery times are always different in the area. They have a huge selection and I’ve heard rave reviews about their wraps and sandwiches as well. Do not miss this place and save it to your list of regular spots in the Brookline/Cleveland Circle area.

This place was so much better when it was a full deli with dinner entrée options and a long list of sandwich items. It has lost its soul a bit — but still can be a good breakfast option and burgers are solid. Need to expand menu though Also — salads are very underwhelming

Amazing!!! I ordered the«Border Burger»: lettuce, jalapeños, avocado and cheddar cheese topped with an onion ring. Absolutely delicious. The ½ pound burger was cooked perfectly, nice and pink in the middle and deliciously juicy. As I bit into it, the juices began rolling down my chin and down my hands… It was definitely worth having to use all of the extra napkins. The jalapeños offered a nice kick and the oozing cheddar cheese was the perfect salty pair with the beer battered onion ring and creamy avocado. Absolutely coming back!

I recently came here with friends and ordered the Chipotle Chicken(chicken, mozzarella, basil, bacon, chipotle sauce on focaccia – ordered sans bacon) as I had fond memories of having a friend deliver it to my dorm room at Boston College. I was disappointed to find that either my tastes had changed or the sandwich was different now. It wasn’t bad – decent bread and chicken, but the chipotle sauce did little more than make the bread soggy and hard to eat. Overall a fun place to go with friends, but I’ll probably go with the Chicken Pesto next time.

Prepare to feel a little queasy after coming here if you intend to try anything bigger than the single burger, however you will greatly enjoy yourself getting to the queasy state! I have not ventured outside of the burger and fries options here, but that speaks to how good they are! They are well cooked, though if you don’t want any pink at all in the middle make sure the specify! Portions are huge, and the fries are amazing! I usually eat more of them than my burger! A must try in Boston, ignore the fact that you think it might be super touristy due to man v. food, its mostly just BC students fighting hangovers.

When I was in high school, I had a friend who was obsessed with Luthers, or donut-bunned hamburgers slathered in sauteed onions and cheese, and I was always conflicted between health-oriented worry and carnivorous amusement. I’m a carnivore for sure, but I had the same struggle of ambivalence when I saw the challenge burgers at Eagle’s Deli. Eagle’s is your typical casual burger joint, with booth and table seating. Ordering is done upon first walking in at the cashier, and your order is brought to the table in accordance with your number. Prices are reasonable for the(ginormous) portions of food served, and service was fine. Cali burger with regular fries: ( ) I probably wouldn’t have survived any of the burger challenges, but this Cali burger sounded good, with its lettuce and avocado. The patty was thick and juicy, and I appreciated the perfectly melted cheese on top. I wasn’t a fan of the dry and floury hamburger bun, and that put a damper on the entire burger. The fries came out piping out and crunchy. Nick Lachey burger: ( ) I think my biggest gripe with the burgers on the burger challenge menu is their lack of vegetables. There are ample amounts of bacon and meat, but it’s hard to stomach that without some change of texture or refreshing dimensions such as lettuce, tomato, or onion. I had a bite of this burger, and the patties themselves were pretty juicy. I’m not a fan of bacon, so I can’t speak much on that. The bun itself was again rather dry and floury, which added to the challenge. I don’t mind Eagle’s, but I might not come back specifically for their burgers. I feel that the interior is good(although I still wish they would add a bit more vegetables), but the bun just doesn’t cut it for a good burger. It was a fun novelty to try though, especially to see the hugeness of the challenge burgers.

If you’re a proud carnivore, it’s best you come in elastic-waistband pants. In case you haven’t heard, this place serves some serious beef — up to six pound burgers. Not a beef fan? The menu also includes chicken, omelettes, and wraps, plus the standard greasy-spoon sides like onion rings and fries. The food was pretty good, although neither of our burgers were cooked to order — surprising, since burgers are their so-called specialty. The food tasted fresh though, and portions were large for the low price point. Decent spot if you’re into the greasy/meaty/quick meal kind of mood. Plus, plenty of seating with a diner vibe.
