Awful Experience! On Friday April 10, 2015, I went into Brighton Urgent Care. i was seen by the staff doctor and he diagnosed me with a respiratory infection and bronchitis. He prescribed me an antibiotic. This diagnosis was solely based on my symptoms, no tests were given. On Saturday morning I woke up feeling much worse and I was unable to get out of bed. i was unable to go to work and was miserable all weekend. This is while I am taking an antibiotic. I should have been feeling better after 24 – 48 hours. This was not the case. On Monday morning, my wife called my doctor and I was seen by him that day. He performed some tests and diagnosed me with the flu. He prescribed Tamiflu and by Tuesday I was already feeling much better. I informed Brighton Urgent Care about this misdiagnosis and also wrote to their main office. It took several weeks before I received a response. I asked that Brighton Urgent Care waive my co-payment for services due to my experience. When I finally received a response I was given a generic response indicating that the diagnosis has room for error. I informed Brighton Urgent Care that i will never use their clinic again.
