Breathe Salon

After reading the review of fellow Unilocaler Valarie, below, I decided to give Breathe Salon a try. I am way overdue for a cut and color, not very articulate about what I want (but very adamant about what I don’t), have bern through several local stylists (only to have them move or not meet expectations) and was desperate for a cut/​color hours before leaving for a bucket-​list European vacation.
Although I don’t recommend walking in and begging for the moon (and that’s really what I did), I could not have been more grateful to the staff at Breathe Salon. The receptionist, Sherry, was super sweet and sympathetic, explaining there were no openings for a three hours. I then asked if I could just get a cut (grey roots are in, right?) and she fit me in for an hour later.
Sherry then walked over to another stylist, Debbie, and asked if she would do my color before my haircut appointment. Well, Debbie did just that, squeezing me in between 2 of her regulars. I tell ya, my eyes clouded just a wee bit at the kindness of these women.
Leyla came on for her shift and was happy to cut my hair. She listened to what I thought I wanted, listened to what I didn’t want, and gave me the perfect, no-​fuss cut. The length is perfect, the color vibrant and healthy looking, and I am excited to take my fiery self to Ireland!
I am excited to have found a new stylist at a local salon. Being in Breathe was a breath of fresh air! I felt like I was walking into a crowd of long lost friends. Truly, it was like watching a movie where the salon was an integral part of the show. The staff were like family; everyone was friendly, and I felt part of all that.
I am more grateful the they could ever know. My fallback plan was to take hair color with me so my hubby could dye it, get a cut in Ireland and hope I didn’t get the Sinead O’Connor special, and hope for the best. Instead, four people showed what a little flexibility and a mountain of kindness could do. I would have starred them anyway just for taking the time to fit me in but I LOVE my cut and color too! It was affordable and a great cut! I’ll be back soon!

My waxing experience with Trisha was great. She was so friendly and professional. She was also very thorough and efficient and you can tell she cares about doing a great job. The room is very calming and relaxing. I was very pleased with how everything turned out and I couldn’t recommend her more! You get 50% off of your first service if you are a first time customer. I can’t comment on the hair salon side of things since I haven’t had my hair done here.

Casey did a fantastic job cutting mine and my daughters hair. She was super friendly, listened to what we wanted, and made sure she we very happy with the results. My daughter went from a medium length hairstyle to a shaved hairstyle that resembles ruby rose. I had layers cut into my long hair. We both have super thick naturally curly/​frizzy hair. The results were wonderful.

Phenomenal service! I’m new to the area and trying to find a new stylist is always a scary adventure. I truly lucked out with Breathe. I went in with hair that was embarrassingly overdue for a cut and color and I was (as usual) unsure with what I wanted. The stylist (Cassy) really took the time with me to make a decision that would be healthiest for my over processed hair. Between her, the owner Deb and a gentleman by the name of Donn, whom I believe was there on consult, they came up with the perfect color for me. It feels fresh and healthy again!
I’m one of those people who can never quite articulate what I want for my hair, so to have them get it right on so many levels speak volumes to me.
I have a feeling this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship with Breathe :)
