I was craving a warm mid-day snack and Boston Croissant French Bakery & Café did not disappoint! It is a small establishment. You walk-in, get your goods, and walk out. No room to sit down and mingle with friends or pop-up a laptop to do school work. I noticed that their cases were a bit bare — not unexpected considering it was mid-day. I decided on their famous almond croissant(last one in the case). I paired it with their New England Coffee. Words cannot explain the experience I had biting into that warm, buttery, flaky, not-too-sweet pastry. You have to try it out for yourself! ***I was just notified that this place is closed down. I actually visited Boston Croissant in December but had not gotten around to writing a review until March.

Based on the Unilocal reviews, I’ve stopped by this bakery three times in the last month. It was open once only — the hours appeared to be 8 – 6, not what’s posted on Unilocal. And this morning, the store was locked and bare at 8:30 am. I wonder if it’s gone out of business. That would be a pity: I loved the eclaires I had during my one successful visit. So, 5 stars for the pastries and service, 1 star for not being there.

This small bread and pastry shop has truly magnificent croissants. I highly recommend the almond ones. They also have delicious cakes and cookies. If you are looking for bread, I did not try it but it looked and smelled wonderful when I was there. The store itself is small and plain, but don’t let that stop you from going in. There is only one small table so it’s best for take out orders. The selections can change so if you are looking for a large quantity or a specific item you can call ahead to place an order. You can get custom cakes there too.

Delectable sweets and croissants. Very simple storefront on Comm. Ave. and Washington St. with excellent quality baked goods inside. You can support this small business, and it’s lovely owners, while making friends and family thrilled with the items you share with them!

«A lot of people say this is the best croissant in Boston…» the owner told me as I ordered. He wasn’t wrong! Amazing croissant, and had a piece of layered chocolate cream cake that was equally good. It’s right around the corner from the Brighton Whole Foods, whose bakery I’ll no longer be needing — I’ll be stopping here after I buy my groceries for sure from now on.

Ode to Seigle D’or’s Almond Croissant-Alice Soref Not a bit like its predecessors This one has evolved To please the keenest fressors The puzzle has been solved No phony almonds dot the outside (There to make a show) These beauties have the goo inside To everyone’s delight The joy of homemade almond cream Brings bliss to all who try it. The others cause anxiety The good stuff’s in the middle So you start it with a prophecy Of good things that will come You wait until the ecstasy Slowly comes along And, in a flash, the cream is gone And all that’s left is grief Not so with Boubekeur’s masterpiece It’s bliss from end to end With an extra dollop on the top You’ve got a bliss that doesn’t stop.

By far the best almond croissant I’ve ever had. Everything I bought was amazing. Highly recommend going.

This one man show is unbelievable. I’m not one with much of a sweet tooth, but I’ll come here any day. The owner is the former baker of Athans Bakery in wash sq, so if you miss the croissants and black forest cake from before March, miss no more! No American style baking here, pure French and Algerian baking. Definitely will be placing my next birthday cake order here too.

This place is all business. It is a pure bakery, not a café or what most«bakeries» resemble. You walk in, choose your items, and leave. But my god it’s delicious. Best almond croissant I’ve ever tasted. In fact, some of the best everything I’ve ever tasted. In addition to the almond croissant, I recommend and fruit pastry. I don’t know what they do, but it’s magic. A+

My husband and I were so excited when we saw this bakery was opening near us, but we kept forgetting to stop by. We finally went a few weeks ago and were so happy! It’s a lovely, very small bakery(reminds me of the bakeries I loved so much in Poland), but with a huge array of different baked goods. The baker will happily come out and talk to you, and the young lady working there is friendly and patient and happy to make recommendations if you ask. So far, we’ve tried the chocolate croissant, the chocolate tart, the lemon tart, and the almond croissant. They’ve all been fantastic, top-notch pastries. I couldn’t be happier with this new little place. I’ll never have to go to the Whole Foods bakery again. Additionally, their prices are excellent – in fact, quite cheap for Boston. Seriously, this place is a delight. Give them your business!

Hidden gem. What it lacks in frills it makes up for in quality and customer service. We had the raspberry sablee, a lemon tart, and a cookie with chocolate and nuts. Everything was delicious, especially the lemon tart! The man behind the counter was helpful, patient, and friendly. Will definitely be back to try all of the other delicious looking things!

This place is great, I stopped by for some pastries and they had a lot of variety of North African and French sweets since the owner used to be a pastry chef in Paris. The owner was very friendly, helped me pick out some dessert and cookies I even bought some bread and everything was delicious. The price was very reasonable, I would rather spend less on fresh goods than overpay for pastries at my local whole foods were everything is brought in frozen.

Stopped in here the other day for the first time. I was excited that a new bakery opened in the neighborhood. Its the only one around aside from wholefoods, but you won’t find anything generic tasting here. I talked with the owner for a few minutes, who was a really nice guy, and I found out he bakes everything in-house. Its pretty amazing. The case was full of incredible looking desserts, what I’ve tasted has been spectacular, and the prices are completely fair. The baker baked at Athans years before opening this spot, so if you like quality this is your place. The croissant was the best I’ve ever tasted, and the Napoleon was phenomenal. Seriously go here. Give them your business.

I went in this bakery yesterday. They have so many varieties that I was amazed. I bought Almond croissant, Fruit tart, Chocolate brownie, Cakes, Pastries, Raspberry mousse, French Pain Au Raisin, Chocolate coconut pudding for my home. I also had a great coffee sitting there. Everybody in my home was very pleased with the desserts. They were simply wonderful. The price was also reasonable. I will surely go back there as early as possible. The owner and the chef of this bakery are very friendly people. They helped me to chose my desserts for my family. I highly recommend this french bakery to everybody.

Best croissant in the town! Try out the almond croissant, it’s amazing. Fruit tart and Danish pastry are also awesome. Not at all oily or greasy, and tastes so good. The chocolate chip cookies are crispy and different from those in the market. A wide variety of French pastries and also great freshly baked breads. Chefs at Seigle D’or makes it a point that their pastries are both healthy and great tasting. They do not use extra sugar or oil. Just a perfect and balanced combination. N located just across the Washington St. stn on Green line(B).
