Manasquan River Water Taxi

The guy who runs this boat is a complete jerk off. He rips people off and thinks he’s special. You drive a boat of wealthy white people. Make better life decisions, bro. Sorry things didn’t work out.

AWFUL EXPERIENCE! taxi driver was so incredibly rude, tried to charge us $ 20 per person for 6 of us to go from river house to patio bar. Unprofessional dick, I will never do this again. I hope his boat sinks.

Taxi is unprofessional and is jerk. He said we couldn’t afford the taxi service yet we could afford to buy his boat. He’s a dick.

Super bad! Unprofessional! $ 25. For a trip across the. Water with promise to shuttle across the area to 3 or 4 places! Lucky if you get a round trip! Not to mention wait over an hour. This service totally sucks! Don’t waste your money, you won’t get anywhere!

Do not work with this company. We had a corporate event with 45 people that was planned weeks in advance. 15 minutes prior to picking us up, they confirmed, saying that they were gassing up the boat. 30 minutes later they called and cancelled, making a fake claim that their boat was vandalized. They even refused to help us find alternative options. What a terrible company and terrible service!!!

Prob the worst experience i have had in my life… Me and my wife boarded the taxi and paid $ 50.00 to get on… When we got to the first stop the captain told us we had to get off because they had a large group getting on and we had to get off and get the next boat in 1 hour… after getting nasty with us he handed me the $ 50.00 i paid to get on and told us to find our own way back… DONT GO ON THE WATER TAXI!!!

The drinks were good, the music was good, but I’ve experienced better in terms or organization and timeliness. We we bought season passes then were kicked off the boat at 1030pm for a private party. They’d be «back in an hour or so», though. I was thinking that could have been mentioned earlier on in the night so we could have managed where we were dropped off — i.e., by our car! Instead, we had to take a 10 minute über to our car. Like I said, we bought season passes, so we’ll likely be back at least once more.

Taking a ride on the Manasquan Water Taxi is one of my favorite summertime night activities. My bff & I have purchased season passes for the past 4 years in a row because we have such a great time. We rarely even get off at the bar stops — we have more fun just staying on the boat all night (you can purchase cheap, strong drinks onboard) and watching the inebriated party goers hop on and off between stops. Love it!

Took this a few years ago and would never go back again. Great idea. Bad management. Took this with a group going to dinner and the owner operator decided he didn’t feel like working the rest of the night. We paid for transport for the whole night and basically got dropped off and stranded. I eventually tracked the guy down and made him come back for us. He said he closed shop because it wasn’t busy enough. Crazy!!! Who does that?
FYI Have seen this guy driving the water taxi completely wasted and have seen him stopped by coast guard and local cops many times. Don’t know how he’s still in business.

I’ve been on the taxi once and had a great time so I invited 7 friends this time and it was horrible. The captain was a real ASS yelling at us and others trying to have a good time. They advertise bar hoping but they want choir boys. The incompetent captain ran over a crab trap which made the whole boat list This service is a joke don’t waste your money the captain is a schmuck

Ever go on a booze cruise while on spring break? yea… that kind of hot mess of a time.
So this water «taxi» takes you from one inlet bar to another… so everyone on it was hella drizz… like 2am drizz… but it was like 7pm.
I was sooooo glad I didn’t dive into the water while in transit, as prompted my the rowdy peeps on board. Geezus.

This was our 3 trip this summer we had such a good time we are doing another one in september, we cant wait and the boat is full so we had to start a waiting list. each time we go everyone has a blast and the staff is very friendly funny. The host di di has great peronality hope you work our next trip. thanks can wait

We used the river taxi for a bar crawl for my sister’s birthday. We had a blast. It is filled with partygoers: this is not for the sober or for families, but that is just what we wanted. The staff played a heavy rotation of great 80s music and kept us plied with strong drinks. The boat isn’t classy, per se, but it was a really fun way to spend the night and it was great for a group outing. Our issue with the taxi was the fact that as the night goes on, it becomes less prompt. We had a blast, but ended up at the Manasquan bars at the end of the night, but before the taxi’s «last call,» because it apparently never came back to take us back to the Point Beach bars. We would absolutely go again, but just plan to be closer to our end bar earlier in the night.
