Providence Riding Academy

I have been a student of Julie’s for the past two years. Since it was more than 25 years since being on a horse, Julie was able to assist me in feeling confident again on a horse but most importantly make my lessons fun and educational. I’ve learned so much about riding and horse instincts. My lessons with Julie is something I get to do vs. everything else in my life that I have to do. I enjoy my lessons very much and look forward to making more strides with each year. Thank you Julie!

Gotta love someone who loves their job and wants to share their passion! Julie at Providence Riding is just that sort of dedicated professional: she loves her horses and riding (& she is RIDICULOUSLY good at it!) and truly enjoys helping others discover all the ways it can be fun. I’ve watched her coach kids and love the way she encourages them and yet really insists that they learn. And although I’m certainly no kid, she’s great at helping adults continually improve regardless of what level they’re starting from.
Julie offers great opportunities for students to apply their skills outside of lessons by either hosting or going with students to shows, gymkhanas (she hosts both kid & adult dates), versatility challenges and more. She also keeps up her own learning as well & has shared with me and her other students what she’s learned from various clinicians and other trainers.
Lots o’ fun, balanced with knowledge and some work = a great place to learn how to ride for beginners or experienced riders.
