Unfriendly, long line, and they screwed up. Supposedly sent my results the day after but as of a month later my doctor still hasn’t received them, and they were completely unhelpful with resolving the problem. This isn’t the first time I’ve had trouble with
Labcorp– it’s been a continuous struggle to get my results on time or at all. I’ve switched to going to care station in linden or the walk in clinic in south Plainfield. It’s far, but they’re more reliable.

This place is not sanitary and the employees are unprofessional. The first time I came here, I had issues, but since they’re close to me, I gave them a second chance. Both times the phlebotomist handled specimens and took blood from another patient without first changing gloves before coming to draw my blood. Why bother wearing gloves at all? There was a large spill of who-​knows-​what on the floor on the way to the blood drawing station with paper towels just sitting over part of it and a «wet floor» sign nearby, but not cleaned up in the 45 minutes I was there. I also saw unused blood vials on the floor scattered around and in back of the chair in the blood draw station, covered in dust. Obviously they had been sitting back there for some time. My doctor’s prescription asked that my tests be run «stat» but instead they were processed «regular,» so that the results too an extra day, not in 4 hours as promised. Finally, although I gave the receptionist my drivers license and insurance card, and my doctor’s name was printed on the prescription, they managed to spell my and my doctor’s name wrong on the requisition they typed up, causing an additional delay in locating my results. Next time I’ll travel the extra 5 miles to another Labcorp franchise.

I have to get my blood checked every six months because I take Lipitor for my cholesterol and my doctor has to see if it’s affecting my liver. This is where my insurance requires I go. Let me just say this place has improved tremendously from when I started going here. I can’t watch when they’re drawing my blood. If I don’t see the needle, I’m fine. A few years ago, the technician who was drawing my blood scolded me for being a big baby for not watching!!! I also used to bruise like a peach after getting blood drawn. But I would say for the past two or three years, I have had nothing but good experiences here. Even the front desk has gotten friendlier! And the girl who drew my blood the other day was so good, I didn’t even know she gave me the needle!

We had a scheduled appointment on Saturday, and I had to bring my 1 year old to get a blood test. Naturally, I was anticipating screaming, but the phelbotomists were great and were able to get the tests done relatively quickly. Since I had made an appointment weeks before, I had to wait no more than 5 minutes before I was called. They verified my insurance information quickly. It was a no hassle appointment. I highly recommend everyone to schedule an appointment before you go, otherwise the wait times are likely longer on the weekend.
