My fiancé and I stayed here as we love checking out various B&Bs in the area. This one was great and came with plenty of extras to make our stay even better. We got one of the packages which included dinner both nights — once dining out and once delivered to our room. It was from the same place both nights but the food is good enough to eat two nights in a row. There’s a hot tub and we had cheese, crackers, and champagne waiting in the fridge when we arrived. We also got a box of hand made chocolates from the local farmers market and she includes some toiletries you may have forgotten at home. She also brings breakfast to your room and you can order what you want the night before. She even randomly gave us a $ 10 discount when we paid for our stay… I’m not entirely sure why but it was a welcome and unexpected bonus! We would definitely stay here again if visiting the area. Be sure to check out Bluestone winery while you’re there… there isn’t a bad wine there and the view is spectacular.

My family stayed at the Bridgewater Inn for 5 days over this past holiday. We stayed in the cottage room. It was much nicer and More spacious than the online pictures let on. The room itself was super cozy and clean and there was all of these extra everywhere from cheese and pb in the fridge to chocolates on the fire place, soaps Iand candles and large towels! I loved the bathroom it was a retreat all on its own! The location its great and it was very affordable especially after receiving an extended stay rate! Mary, our inn keeper was a little quirky and we had a bit of miscommunication in the beginning. Some reviews on other sites suggest that she is rude and not organized. I could see how some people can say that but I just see it as this is her home first and business second. She has a unique personality and she means no harm. She’s actually very accommdating and honest and a huge pet lover. I Was hesitant about staying here from my phone interactions but I’m really glad I didn’t cancel my reservation and I’m glad we gave this place shot. She allowed us to tell her. what we wanted for breakfast, there was no set menu and there was plenty of it! My 2 year old son gobbled up pancakes sausage waffles and eggs and fresh fruit. not one day did he not have a full tummy. And the presentation was adorable! I would. saythat the sarran wrap does keep the breakfast hot .does make breakfastdoggy too. Maybe a new method for that! Overall the stay was private, a nice 180 from where we. currently live and we felt right at home. We will be back next year and every year after that, that my family still lives in VA.
