Food is exceptional a little bit on the dry side. Portion wise not as generous as other restaurants the rice wasn’t enough. There’s a new restaurant now in the same plaza competition is going to be tough. –Keep your prices and you’ll keep your customers. Good.Luck

One of my fave places for a traditional middle eastern breakfast close to what we make at home.

Falafel delicious. I can eat almost five falafels. I usually get the combination platter and I like the fact that their rice is very simple and not to season. A lot of other Mediterranean places like to get fancy with their rice but I’m a fan of the simple white rice or yellow rice. The only thing I wish this location had was dessert or fresh juices

LOVELOVELOVE this place! I know there’s Bawadi across the street but this place was here first and it’s amazing. Their falafel is always fresh and tasty! I love their beef shawarma, sandwich or plate! Hummus is out of this world and their Salads are great! And I always get my hot tea with mint

This is my favorite restaurant in the south side. They have the best hummus and falafel in Chicago. I go there all the time.

I was in the Bridgeview area on business with another employee. Given this is a little out of our geographic region, I went to Unilocal to find a nice ethnic restaurant that may be something out of the ordinary and found Nile. The reviews were a little varied, but there were enough positives to give this a shot. We got there around 11:20am for lunch. Unlike some of the lunch Middle Eastern restaurants, this one did have servers who came to your table to take your order(vs. ordering up front and calling a number). The early problem was that our server did not speak English(or at least not that well). I can’t hold that against the restaurant, but it did make communicating a little challenging. After placing our orders, about 5 minutes later, the server came back and tried to tell us that some of our items weren’t available yet for lunch. She was nice and gave options to replace. The food came and it was just fine. Nothing great, but nothing bad. The Pita was good as was the Hummus. We had ordered entrée’s vs. sandwiches. The price per person for just the lunch entrée came to about $ 19 with tip. To me, a little high for a lunch menu. I’ve seen similar at Pita Inn for half that amount. Bottom line, the meal was fine. Service was just okay. Try it if you are in the area, but if I ever find myself in Bridgeview again, I’ll try something new.

This is one of the staples of the neighborhood growing up in this area. If you want more traditional middle eastern this is the place to go. I probably have been here over 100 times. I love their shawarma the best in Illinois. Because it’s so busy always fresh. I hade the shawarma sandwich today in traditional pita stuffed with meat sauce tomatoes and onions. You can say it’s the Middle eastern gyros. Their falafel are off the chain and salads are wonderful.

Authentic middle eastern food for a reasonable price?! Yes, please! This place is always crowded and that’s a good thing. When you walk thru the door your senses are assaulted with yummy smells of lamb and chicken. I love the chicken shawarma. Seasoned well and juicy. I order the dinner which comes with rice, salad and pita bread. Delicious. They also have the best falafel. Fried to perfection. I usually get about 4 of these to go. They never make from the restaurant to the drive back to my house. You’ve got to eat them while they’re hot, right? Best hummus in the Chicago area. Just my humble opinion. The portions are plentiful. I usually end up with at least 2 meals from their dinner entrees. Try the Nile. You won’t be sorry.

For the best Mediterranean style break fast, these guys take the win. Must try them out for a traditional style Med breakfast. Their Falafel is Great!

Nile is a classic. Nothing special and nothing fancy. If you’re not Arab, here’s the breakdown. Breakfast: fatte, and falafel, hummus as well. Also, foul. The first of these three things are similar and from the same base ingredient chick peas. You can get the fatte with meat if you like(hummus with meat is a thing in Lebanon). I believe the falafel here has foul in the mix, which is why the inside is darker(I think it’s a Palestinian style) and it’s great. Lunch: shawarma for sure For dinner you might be better off going somewhere else.

LOVE their beef kebabs! The hummus also come in big plates and are amazing. The snack plate is a bit underwhelming. The place itself is very cozy but is a bit dark.

Food is always really good. Best hummus and Shawerma in the south side. Staff is a bit under trained but the food makes up for that. One of the best middle eastern restaurant around.

Place is good and I’ve been going here for years. Their chicken/beef shawarma is just average but maybe that’s just me. I ordered it more than once and the sauce was just dripping everywhere and chicken was kinda tasteless. Their falafel though is the best that I’ve tried. Highly recommend! So is everything else on the menu besides the sandwiches that I’ve had bad luck with. Great place to eat. Much better than restaurant(al bawsi) across the street

Come here often with my family. I get their chicken Shawerma in pita or the wrap depending on what I want on that day. Their meat is flavorful and delicious, hummus and falafel ate always wonderful as well. Service is nice and friendly, located amongst many other middle eastern restaurants which I have also tried but I definitely come back to The Nile every time.

The food is really good that it’s worth five stars; however because the service is so bad and slowwwwww, I had to take away one star. It wasn’t that the food was slow. It just took the server forever to bring me the chech; another eternity to retrieve my payment; and yet another lifetime to return my card … and ahe still forgot my togo box. But she was nice. And the foood … so good.
