Okay, this rink is a complete dump. The edges of the ice are uneven, and we’ve lost pucks in the area where the Zamboni comes in. The locker rooms are tiny, and REEK. The staff is poorly organized, there are no concessions or vending machines to speak of, and the bathrooms are only tolerably clean. The worst is that for whatever reason, we always get scheduled to practice around the same time as high school boys who think it is hilarious to walk around in their towels by the women’s team – oh and the locker rooms are crammed together, so this is really uncomfortable. There have been several occasions when we’ve gotten inappropriate and disrespectful comments and looks from men’s teams here. All that being said, from a financial perspective this is the CHEAPESTICEINCHICAGOLAND. .. and it’s why we practice there. It’s bottom of the barrel, but is priced as such, so it gets two instead of one stars.

Man do I have some memories in here. My team practiced here 2 – 3 times a week for years. The locker rooms smell terrible. The Ice is a complete wreck. The ends of rink are higher than anywhere else and the corners are melted to a point under the boards. Ive seen countless pucks and sticks get stuck under there. Sometimes it gets so foggy that you can’t see the other side of the rink. To be fair, I havent skated there in a couple years, but I still talk to people that do, and I think this is still pretty accurate. That being said, I do have so many memories there that I can’t help but have a strange foundess for it…
