Typical chiro-quacks, and totally devoid of coherent or capable customer service. The hours are nice – they open up early, so it’s super convenient in that regard. But the convenience isn’t worth it. First, the basic function of the place is flawed. It’s extremely rushed, and appointments are set in 10-minute increments. You go in, they do whatever it is that they do, and you’re off. And they’ll try to get you to come back several times in a week. And then, when you come back as few as two days later, you’re likely to find yourself explaining the problem you’re having again. And again. And again. The receptionist is utterly and completely useless. I went there 12 times and she could not remember my name or the condition I was dealing with. And ultimately, the therapy didn’t even work. I was dealing with severe back pain, they offered a diagnosis, and gave a grim outlook – saying that I’d be unlikely to lift again, that my mechanics were deeply flawed, and that I was likely to need surgery in the long run. But then I discovered TMS, read about the psychological aspect of back pain, and got over the problem I was having. Back to 100% now and stronger than ever. Do yourself a favor: if you’re dealing with chronic pain, read Healing Back Pain. Don’t go to chiropractors who just want you to depend on their«treatments.»

Having dealt with pretty persistent plantar fasciitis during marathon training a few years ago, I decided to make a trip out to Dr. Lytle after talking with him at the Rock ‘N’ Roll marathon expo. I got a very thorough evaluation from him and was pain-free and running again after a few weeks of 3 days/week treatment. I was a little surprised at first by how short the regular appointments are, but it’s more than enough time to discuss your trouble spots and get them taken care of. The thing that really impressed me was the fact that he told me that he really would like to keep me out of his office, which is pretty different from some of the other practitioners I’ve encountered in other places. In addition to addressing the immediate issues that were popping up throughout my hip/leg, he also gave me a really useful set of corrective exercises to include in my warm-ups and cool-downs to counteract some of the problems I had been having. He also directed me to a great trainer(at a gym that I’ve also reviewed) to help me work on the structural issues that make me injury-prone, which has kept those problems at bay. I still make regular but infrequent visits for«tune-ups» every couple of months, which have been really instrumental in keeping me off the injured roster. Even though I may not have pain or notice any specific areas that need work, I always feel better afterward!
