This is a very clean deli with reasonable prices and decent quality. Bridgeport business owners should take note! For the food, I would highly suggest the hot lunch or the wraps

This place is FOOKINGREAT! Everything they make is fresh and awesome. It used to be an Italian deli. They are now a family owned Spanish restaurant. Yum squared! I have not had one thing in this place that is not great. The salads are fresh as hell and made in your face. They don’t charge extra for all of the things that make a salad great! It’s not by the pound and they load up all of the yummiest veggies you can imagine. Their breakfast sandwiches are simple and home made… their sauces are terrfic sh*t even the rice and beans are OFFTHEHIZZY! I cannot say enough good stuff about Red Rooster! Beware when they are busy(which is all the time) they won’t answer the phone, but they all move very quickly and you won’t have to wait long for your food. The service is pretty terrific, but the food is amazing! They treat everyone like family it is a welcome change from a lot of places in Bport. I got take out for my mom from here once and she still frick talks about it a year later. She’s constantly asking me to take her there or to order from there.

I don’t know where John T got the idea that the Red Rooster is run by fresh off the boat Italians when they have pictures and maps of Cape Verde on the walls, but John is right about the quality of the food and friendly service. Any deli packed with firemen and policemen at lunchtime, you know you can count on good food and good value! I like their cheesesteak sandwiches and chocolate chip cookies. I’ve never found the staff unfriendly or unwelcoming…

Hung out here for a while waiting for my car. The place smelled great and was clean. I had a sandwich and a brownie and two coffes. Very cool people. No problem eating here at all

This is a nice homestyle deli run by some down-to-earth right-off-the-boat Italians. If there’s anything I know about Italians it’s that they know how you give you a good home cooked meal. I used to go there and get ziti, chicken parm, sausage and peppers and whatever else they had available. Awesome every time. I didn’t necessarily always feel welcome but y’know, Bridgeport can be a very impersonal place if you’re an outsider(impersonal is a vast understatement, by the way). I don’t care, the food was hot and it tasted really really good.
