Fisher Bay Yacht Club Restaurant

Gordon Ramsay, please come save this miserable place. The décor is appalling and everything seems to be falling apart and/​or deteriorating. It’s an immediate turn off. Even the water glasses looked dirty. With nobody else in the dining room, the signs were pretty clear. The oven for the pizza wasn’t even on, so it took an extra 15 minutes of waiting. Things looked a little more promising when the food came. The burgers looked pretty good along with the grilled chicken sandwich. In terms of the pizza, besides the delay, it was actually not bad at all. Nice crust and good flavor. While the quality of the food was a pleasant surprise, it was nothing special and definitely did not make up for the ambience and lack of overall cleanliness of the place. Probably won’t be back, but at least the food is ok.

I went out to dinner with a friend to Fisher Bay Restaurant. She had raved about their prime rib. I was looking forward to it because it is a local restaurant and I like to keep my money local. So we went tonight. My medium rare prime rib came out cold. It was warm in the middle but the outside was cold. So was my friend’s. We sent them back. Now I want you to know the french fries were nice and hot, Out comes 2 more pieces of prime rib on double plates. Can anyone say microwave? NOW mine is hot and well done. The owner comes over and and brings it back to the kitchen. She comes back out and tells me that I have to pick something else off the menu. They were refusing to get me another piece of prime rib. I told them no thank you. We get the bill and they charged me for the french fries… because they have high overhead. All I know is I will never go back there and I will tell everyone I know not to go there. My friend, who went there at least once a month will not be going back either.
The ladies room had mold growing in it and the toilet leaked. They had papertowels around the toilet. If i could have given it a 0 I would have.

We actually come here a handful of times each summer, by boat. This last time will definitely change that. We visited on a not so busy Friday evening. we were seated right away at probably the table with the best lake view. when we were seated the owners wife said I can’t believe no one changed the table cloth. it was covered in fresh stains and crumbs. Well I can’t believe being an owner she didn’t do it. instead she sat us and walked away. then moseyed around the bar with her dog while we sat there for 15 mins w/​o acknowledgement. when someone finally came over I asked her to change the table linen. she did. Drinks and food were ordered and received. my kids sat there needing refills for 20 mins before I asked another server to get them and asked where our server went. I was told she had an emergency and left. You would think someone would cover her tables but nope. We had to ask for our check and were told they thought it was taken care of. so we waited and waited for another server to print it for us. we had to cruise outta there fast because the sun was setting and we had a boat ride back. The best thing about this place is the lake views, sad but true. I agree with a previous reviewer the husband/​owner is very pleasant and usually comes around asking how things are. we didn’t see him this time. Another thing that really bothered me is their dog. he was actually in the dining room going up to tables while ppl were eating, no one was hustling him back to the bar. how is this even allowed?

without launching into a lengthy diatribe describing all the ills of this place — to put it quite plainly, it ‘ain’t’ good!!!

Came here during a long motorcycle ride and before we sat down, grabbed my water bottle from my bike bag. Sat down and immediately the wife (husband/​wife owned) came and said, VERY sarcastically, «can I HELP you!!! Don’t you know you CANNOT bring beverages into a licensed establishment. ?!?». We were shocked as we’re the other patrons. It’s WATER! my husband and I said in unison. Then I ignored her sarcasm and said «Yes, I’d like some cranberry juice». We came there to eat but not a chance. We met the husband here before, he is truly a nice guy. Too bad we won’t be back!

There’s nothing fancy about this restaurant except for the fantastic view of Oneida Lake, if you’re lucky enough to get a table at a window. Food was typical, prices were reasonable, and service was good. If you’re hungry and in Bridgeport, either by road or water, stop in.

Fisher Bay is a good place to go in the Bridgeport area and is right on Oneida Lake. It does have dockage, so you can pull your boat up after cruising on the water.
The menu is pretty basic, but it does have a decent variety, so there should be something for everyone to choose from. The food is pretty good and our service was friendly as well.
It’s worth checking out if you are in the area.

Stopped by Fisher Bay for a quick lunch bite — the food was tasty, service was pleasant and friendly. The restaurant has a great view of Oneida Lake and is accessible by both car and boat.
The food is nothing fancy — pizza, wings, sandwiches, that sort of thing. The dinner menu featured a few more entrees as well.
It’s a little out of the way but if you are in the neighborhood, definitely plan to stop on by.
