If you’re looking for someone fun, skilled, talented, and who can easily put you at ease for a photoshoot, you need look no further than Julie Kate. With a lovely studio right in the middle of downtown Boulder (next to a parking garage), the added convenience is just one more reason to book your next photography session with her.
I had a rather unique experience doing this photoshoot. I ordered a Boudoir Shoot from Living Social, but after putting some thought into it, I realized what I really needed were some professionally done photographs for publicity use. My first experience with Julie was asking if she could alter the Living Social deal, and her being absolutely obliging. Things started off on the right foot!
Next, I’d booked an appointment an hour before the shoot was scheduled. However, due to some scheduling errors by the salon, the make up artists did not show up! You can imagine the mess that made. I felt terrible about it, but doing the shoot without being «prepped» would have made it almost pointless. Again, however, Julie was very understanding and amenable to rescheduling the appointment. What a professional!
Nervous as I was for doing the actual photographs, Julie has such an easygoing and warm personality that I was instantly put at ease. The time went by quickly, and she stopped several times to give me a chance to see the digital images as we progressed in order to make sure we were on the track I wanted to be. Once the shoot was over, she had the photos ready online (password-​protected) within a couple of days to look over and choose from.
All in all, I can’t imagine a photoshoot going any better. The pictures were amazing, Julie Kate was terrific, and the whole experience was absolutely wonderful.

I had an absolutely wonderful experience with Julie and her studio. I had a quite a few questions leading up to my photo session with her and due to a crazy work schedule I wasn’t able to go in prior to my session to meet with her. She was more than willing to answer all of my questions over email.
Now on to a very important factor in the perfect rating, picture quality. I had about an hour long photo session that resulted in a number of pictures that love! I attribute most of this to Julie’s ability to give me feedback and pointers after each shot. She was also able to post the pictures online (password protected for privacy) for my review about 3 days after the shoot. Yes its cheesy, but I loved every picture. They were retouched and looked amazing with a good mix of color and black and white. I would recommend her to anyone.
