Basically a greasy spoon luncheonette/diner. Food is basic, place is basic. Not awful, but nothing special.

Reliable local coffee shop. Friendly staff, good coffee. Nothing fancy. Just everything you need, want or expect from a coffee shop.

Good diner food. If they would serve better roasted coffee, this place would be a grand slam.

With the Patio what you see if what. The interior could use some updating as you can tell it is very dated. However the food is good(It is basically a diner, so do not expect world class food) and the service is always excellent and I have never had a complaint when I’ve gone there for lunch.

My favorite breakfast place in town. We love to sit outside on a nice day. Have been coming here for years and ordering the same thing. The food itself is good and not particularly amazing, but it has a great vibe and great service.

Not good. Never mind the dim, depressing interior: the food was the deal killer. The banana pancakes and the quiche both tasted like leftovers; the iced tea was just brown water. Won’t be going back.

Great local place to go for breakfast with kids. Staff is hit or miss. If you miss, just know it isn’t you. I love the walnut waffle!

Locals seem enamored with this place. It’s a diner. Not even a very good one. Had the French Toast on a recommendation. 1.50 up charge for challah(not challah, Texas toast) $ 2.00 up charge for real syrup. No cinnamon. No sugar. No salt. Just bread dipped in egg. Big meh.

I enjoy coming here with my family for breakfast. When I ask for potatoes to be well done, they actually make them the way I want them.

I’m not sure why this place received such high reviews. The food is ok at best and the service is absolutely horrible. Both times I went, the waiter was extremely rude. They’re not helpful and are completely unwilling to make exceptions on the menu. The last time I went, I was sick to my stomach. STAYAWAY!

My buddy Rod and I took a Rainy July 4th trip out of the city up the Taconic. We ate lunch here and it was pretty good. He had the burger and fries… Both were standard and good… Cooked to order, crispy frozen fries, freshly cooked bacon. The turkey wrap was made with home cooked turkey diced, very edible. Nice touch: the wrap was heated so one side was crispy and toasted. The gazpacho was a disappointment, though as I’m not a believer that tomato juice should be used. The gazpacho was thick, but too salty and overly plain due to the tomato juice. Overall, wouldn’t hesitate to eat there again.

A somewhat overpriced diner. Adequate breakfast, you can do better for lunch; kids love the ice cream counter(but getting stiff competition from Twist). Great location keeps it going(would love to see something more substantial in there).

I’m always happy to have breakfast or lunch at the The Patio when I’m visiting my in-laws in Briarcliff Manor. There’s nothing special about The Patio, and that’s fine. The Patio is basically a diner. The décor could use some updating, but the service is always excellent, and I’ve never had a meal here I didn’t enjoy. They make a decent gyro, with the lettuce, tomato and onion finely chopped, making the sandwich easy to manage. I believe they also dice up some cucumber in it. Whatever the case, it’s one of the sandwiches I recommend. I also like the buffalo chicken wrap. Fries are always served hot, salty and crispy. Breakfast is fairly standard, but always reliable, though I typically go right into the lunch menu no matter how early I come to the Patio. I wish there were choices in the area, but even if there were, I’m pretty sure my in-laws would only want to come here. For a decade we used to only go to Orfino’s down the street before my in-laws finally had enough of that place and switched us over to The Patio. If there’s one thing I can recommend the next time you visit The Patio, it’s ordering a scoop of the Moose Tracks ice cream on the way out. Eat it outside on the cute little bench by the outdoor tables. It’s a great way to end any meal there with a big smile on your face.

We just moved to briarcliff and this is the only place in walking distance to get breakfast-fresh oj very quick service and overall it’s clean. It’s a diner though so don’t expect anything beyond that.

This a mere diner, and not a great one at that. Went for the famed Sunday Brunch. French toast was thin slices of white bread. Hash was fatty and not tasty. Kids got blueberry pancakes and burger/fries which were decent. Would skip it next time.

Had brunch/lunch here today. I had the cheese steak wrap w/french fries. The wrap was very good and the french fries were very crispy which I like. The staff except for my waiter were very nice. My waiter was kind of apathetic and slow. Overall 3.5 rounds up.

Always fresh food and consistently terrific — and we have been coming regularly over the last 18 yrs. One of our favorite breakfast spots even though it is a 20 minute ride from home. The pancakes are thin, light and delicious. Melt-in-your-mouth ultimate kind of pancakes. Omelettes filled with fresh veggies and outstanding home fries are among our favorite dishes. Thankfully there is now a Patio II in Peekskill, much closer to home!

I didn’t know what to make of this place, is it Italian, Mexican, or Spanish food, or is it an ice cream parlor? I tried the Camarones appetizer, which was good, the bread they gave us came with a lemony dipping oil, which tasted interesting. Main course was Linguini Carbonara, it was good, but not the way im used to it. Other dishes I got to try were all good, but not a wow factor. Also, if your not used to drinking the local tap water, it tastes really off. P. S. They dont accept credit cards.
