Stopped by this tiny town during their annual Halloween festival and feel in love with this Toy Store. The whole town seems like its from another era… where all the neighbors know each other and this toy store provides the classic Americana back drop for it. 2 story toy store with all the latest items from modern legos to old-​school train sets. Contains a prank/​joke section, magician illusions, and a section make at kid level for pocket money (think 5 cent flippy frogs or bouncy balls). LOVED the charm of this store as it was packed to the gills with toys and you were able to demo a lot of items without hovering sales people. If you are in the area, relish your free time and spend it here.

Much bigger inside than we thought and the two floors are packed with a wide variety of inventory. Sometimes a breadth of offerings for toys means a lot of cheap junk, but they had quality offerings. Our kids are grown, but we still had a blast exploring the store and getting a head start on birthday and Christmas shopping.

Every time we are on vacation we have come to this toy store. We have always bought a new game or some toy.
The positive: They have anything and everything you’ve ever wanted. And if they don’t have it I’m sure they’d find it for you.
The negative: I gave them 3 stars because I’m pretty sure you could find the toys cheaper online and because the girls behind the counter were less than friendly. I would think if you’d really want people to purchase in your store instead of buying online you would hire more friendly workers. This will probably be the last time I shop there and will not recommend this store to anyone.

I love O.P. Taylor’s. They’ve got some unique toys kids love. We always find something new. Or old school toys I had growing up that I can’t find other places. Love it.
My only complaint is some of their items are more expensive than I can find other places. Specifically Amazon. We are big Amazon shoppers and always check prices against what we can get online. If it’s within a few bucks, we buy at the store to support local business. But, we’ve found some items marked WAY high up and passed on them
But fun to frequent, play with the race car set, and see what new items they have!

The staff is incredible! I say this with the utmost sincerity. I live in Texas and my sister and her kids in North Carolina. I called, they helped me find the right gift for my nephew and in my price range. They wrapped it and had it ready for pickup. They communicated with me throughout the entire process. I even got a call when they were done wrapping so my sister knew she could come anytime. I’ve been here only once in person but was astonished then too. I wish I could give this establishment more than 5 stars if possible. I miss this kind of personal attention, the kind where you feel you’re the only customer that matters to them, even over the phone all the way in Texas.

A kool place to see toys that you might have played with when you were a kid. They have a huge selection of current toys as well, but mostly vintage re-​makes. Definitely worth the time to stop in.

I don’t take toy stores lightly. I am pretty much a fiend. And this is the most amazing toy store I’ve had the pleasure of visiting. It just keeps going, room after room, and it’s full of seriously cool toys that you can’t find everywhere. The prices were good too… in some cases the prices were better than Amazon or other huge retailers. The staff was friendly and enthusiastic.

I can’t resist independent toy stores. This one beats them all. Unbelievable wide range of toys. A great range of prices. My son, my daughter and I spent an hour and half exploring and playing with race car setup. The best thing is there is something for everyone. If you don’t want to spend a lot of money you can still come out with a bag of fun stuff for the little ones.

This place is AMAZING! What a cool, independent toy store in downtown Brevard. I make sure to stop in each summer when I’m up there and while I’m not there to buy many toys (which are plentiul, various, & all on easy display), I spend my money upstairs in the Science toy & kit area. Each year I have a Science Camp and we always use some of the fun stuff I get here all the time!
It’s nice to see LEGO products outside a major retailer! And this is the first place I’ve ever seen Duplo blocks with numbers & letters on them. Nice for my little nephew.

Cute old-​fashioned toy store in downtown Brevard. Much larger than appears on the outside and huge selection including both new and older throw-​back toys. Satisfying for kids of all ages. If you bring a child in, bring your $ — no way to get out of there without something coming with you!

This toy store is real cool, as you walk into the store there is a piano to play with your legs on the floor. It is interesting and you can play with a friend. There are good toys and games in the store. The store staff are kind. You can also buy name inscribed toys and other merchandise such as children mugs.

This really is a remarkable toy store, 6000 square feet. I’d say it’s best for ages 3 – 11. Under 3 and the kid is overwhelmed (although they do have a nice room of baby toys). More than 11 and they will have fun … but they probably won’t buy anything. Even with the 6000 square feet, it feels like a cozy spot. Lots of small rooms, organized by type of toy, and two stories helps it feel as though it’s in an old house. The selection is phenomenal. The board game room alone is delightful. And you gotta love a store that sells Archie McPhee along with Spongebob Mr. Potato Heads and the Snoopy Sno Cone makers. A great deal of fun.

This place is ridiculously cool. They have all sorts awesome classic toys. They have new toys (legos, Harry potter scarfs and wands and robes) all kinds of stuffed animals. Just everything. The store is almost magical as each room leads to a new room you did not expect to find. This is a must visit if you are in brevard.

O.P. Taylor’s is located in a cool old building in the heart of Brevard. Inside is a smörgåsbord of toys for kids of all ages, just about everything you can imagine from your childhood and cool new toys and models. The service is marvelous. It was always fun to see the LGB trains, although like everyone else their selection of LGBs had practically dried up by last fall because of LGB’s problems. But O.P. Taylor’s marches on, and with a handful of young kids in our extended family we will certainly be back.

So here is deal, if you are looking for any toy in the world its here! They have it all! From Thomas to Lego’s, to Webkinz ! The store is jammed packed with 1000s of toys and novelties from the past, present and future!
Parking is hard to find sometimes but all and all its worth it! Every time we are in Brevard we go there with my 2 boys and they can spend hours in this hands on store! I like it because it reminds me of when i was a boy and it was Morris Pharmacy! I remember Mr Morris and his drugstore very well and I am sure he be happy to no know his old store makes so many kids happy! If you go to Brevard you have to go to O. P Taylors!
