Not a gelato fan and not a fan of the poor service. Will not return.

Really REALLY good gelatos! We tried five different flavors: mint, lime, chocolate, salted caramel, and tamarind habanero. They were all delicious! The mint was very refreshing. Chocolate was rich and decadent. Lime was tart. The most unique one was definitely the tamarind habanero! It was sour with a good level of spiciness. If you are not feeling the gelato by itself, try it with espresso in the affogato. You just can’t go wrong with this combination! This is also a great place for kids. There is a kids’s corner with tons of books.

Whoa! Real Gelato in the middle of nowhere?! Excuse me, while I pick my jaw off the floor. Kiwi is a small shop on the Main Street in Brevard, a college town in the mountains, with lots of charm. Bright, sunny windows from floor to ceiling. The gelato is made fresh, every day. Now imagine this flavor in your head. Pink Grapefruit? Are you picturing the world’s worst train wreck? Well don’t. It’s the best thing ever. The perfect amount of citrus, tartness, and creamy sweetness. Instead, it is a glistening high speed Japanese silver bullet train gliding across your taste buds. This would be the ultimate palate cleanser in between meal, or just eat a big damn bowl full. Blackberry — sweet and sour awesomeness. Peach with Fresh Thyme — a total yin and yang balance of sweet and savory(herbal) — different and delicious. Next visit I think I’ll just rent their gelato cart and hook it up to the back of my car as a «to go» container. The flavor and quality of the gelato easily speak for themselves!

Kiwi has the best espresso in Brevard. Coupled with a relaxed owner, and Downtown location it’s a great place to get work done, or people watch with friends. On top of that, the gelato is wonderful with a variety or eclectic and delicious flavors. However, I will say that if Richard(the owner) is not there, the drinks are made poorly and the gelato always seems to be melting or all mixed together. — 5 stars when he’s there, 3 when he’s not. Go try it out!

Fantastic gelato. I’ve had so many great flavors from here but particularly love the salted caramel!!! Great coffees. Their afflagato was fantastic, too! Owned by a local family that I’m more than happy to support them.

Oh how I love New Zealand! The country is beautiful and the people are extraordinarily nice! And that is exactly what you will get here! Enter the store and it’s all about New Zealand. The words, photos, everything. It was warm and inviting. So we asked who the«kiwi» was. Kiwi is slang for a native of New Zealand. Well we met the owner and immediately had a full on conversation! He was super friendly and engaging. We reminisced about NZ and enjoyed some good laughs. Yes, we did eat gelato. I had the lemon and the mango. Oh my goodness it was yummy! The lemon hit the spot for sure! It was so refreshing. I should have eaten more! And while we ate we browsed the NZ books that were available to read. The place was clean, reasonably priced and everything you want from a local gelato. We’ll be back for sure!

Best gelato I have ever had! You cannot find another gelato place that has real, authentic gelato like Kiwi Gelato! The flavors are amazing and they are constantly changing so you always have the option to try something new. I highly recommend trying the chocolate, strawberry, salted caramel, or the white chocolate. Those are just a few of my favs but there are so many amazing different flavors to choose from.

I can’t say I’ve ever had gelato so Im not a good person to compare other ones but I can honestly say Im glad that this was my first experience with it. The white chocolate was devine and my best friend really enjoyed the green apple. I can sense a new tradition forming already.

Great Gelato, ok selection of flavors. A couple of exotic flavors were very different. Note, I’ve had gelato in La Jolla & Italy. Good for being US Gelato.

Hands down, the best espresso and coffee in town– and the best icecream(okay, okay, gelato, not icecream)– in Brevard. It’s well worth an extra dollar for truly delicious gelato made in house, and the owner and staff are always great. Why there isn’t a line out the door here instead of that strange icecream phenomena near the national forest, I don’t know, but I am selfishly grateful. I only wish they’d consider staying open more in the off season because I would stop by even more.

Kiwi Gelato was a pleasant surprise on a Saturday afternoon for me. They have some of the best gelato I have had in a long time. The white mocha Bianca was fabulous. The owner is very polite. They do not have tons of flavors of gelato which allows them to concentrate on quality of what they do serve. I had the coffee flavor… YUM !

This is a really cute place. We were camping in Brevard and decided to try this place one afternoon after hiking. My husband and I both had the panna cotta and chocolate gelato. Both were really good. Note: If your order is under a certain amount, you can’t use a credit card. I think it was like $ 7 or so.

Kiwi Gelato is a quaint, friendly little gelato/coffee shop next to Pisgah Brewery on Main Street in impossibly cute Brevard. The owner is from New Zealand himself so comes with the fun accent which is almost reason enough to visit, but really you need to go for one of the top 5 best snacks of my travels. The shop offers 10(ish) flavors of gelato, sorbetto and low calorie gelato including fruity flavors like strawberry and key lime, traditional flavors like vanilla, chocolate, panna cotta and mango sorbetto. They also offer coffee and specialty coffee drinks. However, when the two genres collide is when the magic happens. They offer a couple different Affogados(bottom layer of gelato, topped with a drink, then whipped cream). The Affogado a la café has two shots of espresso in it and is both uplifting, comforting and downright delectable. The quality of the coffee is apparent when you slurp up the mystic divertissement. The default is that it comes with vanilla, but you can order any of the flavors. I chose panna cotta which is like baked cream, so it was a perfect complement to the espresso. They offer other nontraditional affogados like Izze soda on top or root beer. The first couple spoons are pretty espresso-ish, but as the gelato warms up to the coffee, they melt right into each other and is the best coffee you’ve never had. Abracadabra!

This café is a must when staying in or just driving through Brevard. This is the best gelato you can have. Handmade in a small business that cares about its product in a small town. Richard, the owner was great to chat with and give advice about the area. Also this is a gelato café but it does coffee and really good espresso drinks. The cappuccino was excellent. I had the lime and blueberry gelatos and I am looking forward to go back and try some other flavors but may end up having the same again as it was so good.

Yummy! I enjoyed some Pistachio gelato topped with a shot of espresso(I can’t remember the name for this little delight) but it is worth it. A cup with gelato in the bottom topped with a hot shot of espresso topped with whipped cream! However they were out of whipped cream, no biggie so I got some extra gelato, no complaints! Great way to end a day of hiking!

What’s not to like here? Absolutely nothing. Gelato was great, lots of variety, some low fat stuff which is what I needed. The owner is super nice, friendly and helpful in general.
