Very cute and quaint. Great for breakfast or brunch. My waiter was awesome and the food was extremely delicious.

We have been here twice now, and were very pleased on both occasions. Have to give them a lot of credit for being open during Snowmageddon 2016! It was nice to finally get out of the house and get some good food. We ordered the Crab Cake Benedict and Santa Fe Huevos with Ranch Potatoes. Both dishes were amazing! Service was great! We plan to come here more often.

Mad props to the Egg and I for being open today during blizzard 2016. The manager William was serving because many of the servers called out due to icy road conditions. Food and service was excellent despite lack of staff. So glad yall were open today!!!

So happy this place opened up in Brentwood! I love poached eggs, and I almost always order them if I see them on the menu. Been to this place a handful of times, and I’m been pleased every time. :) Belgian waffles are light and fluffy! Parisian Benedict is satisfying! Roasted potatoes are flavorful!

Awesome waiter — I think his name was Chris. The coffee was probably the best part. I got an omelette but the hollandaise sauce ruined it.

Stopped here for breakfast this morning, on our way to horseback riding. I ordered the breakfast burrito because it sounded really good with guacamole. When I got my burrito I noticed that the guacamole was missing, no biggy I told the waitress that I didn’t have my guacamole, and she said she would bring me a side of it, she came back without my guacamole and said that they ran out, REALLY out of guacamole??? Ohh well the pork chilli sauce that came with it, was really good. My wife got the Athena scramble with fruit, it was really good

Absolutely terrible service. After waiting 10 minutes for someone to sit us, the hostess that was not in a good mood pulled up her zipper right in front of all us letting us know she had gone to the bathroom. After waiting another 10 minutes for someone to take our drink order. Gave us orange juice instead of Apple, coffee without cream, cold potatoes without the bacon and cheese we requested. The hostess that brought our food said she would bring us the cheese and bacon separate. The ones that were supposed to be melted on the potatoes. Finally we got our servers attention and she brought us another order of slimy cold potatoes with cold cheese and bacon bits. My eggs Benedict were cold… not kidding. Terrible service terrible food. Never going back. Also the same hostess is making faces at a table full of elderly women because apparently they are having a similarly wonderful experience.

Delicious breakfast! I had the Mexican Skillet which was chorizo and pork green chile sauce, salsa, cheese and eggs over home fries. It was spicy and tasty but had very little heat. My husband created his own omelet with bacon, sausage, American and feta cheese. It was great, too. Plenty of food on the plate, not a long wait, and reasonable prices. Some other reviews said that the service was poor; however, we had great service.

The breakfast here was far from traditional and very tasty. My wife had the Parisian Benedict and I feasted on the Apple Pancake, which was very good. The service was excellent and the coffee was the best that we have had so far on this trip.

On vacation and I love eggs, especially eggs Benedict. I’m a vegetarian so I had the veggie Benedict and parsian Benedict and shared it. I also got fruit instead of potatoes. I appreciated the fruit variety, not the typical cantaloupe and honey dew. It was strawberries, blueberries, apples, cantaloupe, honey dew, and grapes. Back to the Benedict. It was perfect. Just enough Hollandaise, just enough veggies. We also got the Santa fe huevos. Loved that too. Michelle was our waitress. She was very welcoming and accommodating to all our requests. I was very satisfied with her services. No disappointments. I like the décor. Colors are warm and welcoming. Very clean. I had a good experience here. Probably going to come back again before I head back home!

Quickly seated, considerate waitress, and amazing food! Stuffed out of my mind but so worth it! The loaded ranch potatoes are out of this world delicious but share them cuz so filling. The frittatas are wonderfully flavored and large. Again sharing helps. And coming from LA I need my grits fix and I got mine with extra cheddar cheese and added some salt and pepper and fell in love. Now just need a wheel barrel. Oh and who can forget the perfect hazelnut coffee. Delightful breakfast :) only update is that when the bill came it was quite expensive… Thank goodness it’s so delicious…

Don’t have much use for this place. The food is nothing special at all, and the service is sub par. I had high hopes for this place, but I’m not a fan.

Never coming here again. Service is terrible. We waited 15 minutes for coffee and didn’t get the half and half I requested multiple times for another 45 minutes. It’s pretty ridiculous to wait an hour for a cup of coffee. Servers are nice but not well trained. Food was cooked as ordered but my «fresh avocado» was brown and overripe.

Arrived at 8:55 and were told there was a 15 minute wait. Seated at 9:20(although there were several empty tables.) Food didn’t arrive until 9:50 and orders weren’t correct. Manager came over and while he didn’t actually apologize assured we wouldn’t be charged for the mistakes. All that said, the food was good although one of our party had to leave before we got served. We got hers to go. They were obviously having some service issues.

Horrible experience. Their kitchen management supposedly kept us from being seated. 6 visible open tables with so many people waiting at the front of the restaurant that there was a fire hazard. I asked if we could be seated while we wait on the kitchen. The host noted that his manager just said to told tables. So we waited 45 minutes while watching 6 tables sit, Perfectly cleaned, empty. No effort to explain except to say that the kitchens backed up. Save yourself some time and frustration and go to The Well coffeehouse 5 shops down. Reasonable prices, great coffee and a wonderful environment. Oh, and we didn’t wait at all. Straight in, order and sit down. Will NEVER try the egg & I and I hope this saves you the trouble of a wasted morning standing around looking at confused hosts.

Started my day off with a few frustrations so knew I could change the direction of my day with a great breakfast at The Egg and I. Never a disappointment! Ordered the Patriot Waffle and it came dressed like Old Glory! Check out the photo!

A nice breakfast/brunch place with great attentive service. I opted for the Parisian Benedict with fruit which reminded me of the the Croque Madame(savory and light). It is one of the few brunch places that offers grapefruit juices which helped me out with digesting this yummy dish. I also tried the ranch potatoes which seemed a bit salty, however, it is the norm here in the South. The portion sizes are filling and satisfying. I will probably try out the pancakes the next time I come in, they look delish.

This is one of the few places I actually wish I could give half a star. I understand busy breakfast restaurants but this service was this completely unacceptable. After running in the Country Music Marathon this morning we headed to this place because it was near our hotel. We sat at our table for at least five minutes before someone came over to offer us water and coffee. At that point we were ready to order so the waitress took our order as well. 30 minutes later our food finally came out however my moms dish was completely wrong. The waitress acknowledged this and sent it back. Another 15 minutes passed(once I had already finished eating) and her new plate finally came out. And it was only like warm. The waitress made no effort to apologize. I don’t usually leave negative reviews but o want others to be warned. Avoid this place there’s PLENTY of other great options in Nashville.

My first visit to this restaurant was a Thursday morning at 7:30AM. My waitress(Taylor?) was attentive and very friendly, for it being early in the morning(ha). I had the scramble eggs with sourdough toast, bacon and breakfast potatoes. In short, everything was cooked very well and tasted good. Not a lot to expand on for breakfast, except that I will be here again.

I’ve eaten at a lot of breakfast places over the years. This is probably my favorite breakfast spot in the Nashville metropolitan region. I came during a time where the place was a bit packed(Sunday brunch), so service was a bit slow. However, it wasn’t at all unbearable. Our server– Karen– was unbelievably sweet and attentive throughout the entire meal. Consider yourself lucky if your party gets her. On to the food. I ordered the Apple Cinnamon Pancake with two sausage patties and scrambled eggs w/cheese. The pancake alone was delicious. There are apple slices INSIDE the pancake. I was very impressed with that nice, unexpected addition. Usually restaurants just use apple flavoring or toss sliced apples on the top. Kudos to The Egg and I for that brilliantly simple idea. The eggs were perfect. Gold and fluffy with just the right amount of cheese. I inhaled those things. Oh yeah. The pancake had cinnamon butter on it. This guy is a huge fan. I also ordered the Texas skillet. It was a mistake. Not because it was bad! Omg! It was incredibly delicious. I didn’t realize how large the Apple Cinnamon Pancake was until I saw another server bringing it to someone else’s plate. Initially I was disappointed that hashbrowns weren’t on the menu. The ranch potatoes completely changed my mind. They were so good! I need to learn how to make them. The veggies were cooked just right and the seasoning was excellent. I swapped the English muffin out for a biscuit. I probably shouldn’t have done that. I believe no two restaurants make biscuits exactly the same. Unfortunately I was very disappointed in the biscuits here. They were blah. The flavor was nothing to write home about and the texture wasn’t soft or remotely palatable. Maybe I had a really bad one or something. I couldn’t finish all of that food. I ordered too much. Fortunately I got a carry out tray. I finished eating around(tapped out) around 12:20 this afternoon. I still haven’t eaten anything else at the time of this review(17:35). I’m not at all hungry! I WILL be returning with a bigger appetite and more friends.
