I found Erik thru Craig’s List. He declined to actually come out to the Property in Antioch to take a look at the repairs I needed done and instead asked that I email him the list of repairs. I did so. It took him two weeks to get back to me with a quote. When he did, by then, I had contacted several other Handymen and obtained quotes.
Well, Erik’s quote was quite high. When I responded to his e-​mail quote and stated this, this was his reply (I am quoting from Erik’s e-​mail) «you are out of you mind, $ 450.00 for all that work and you say you

I felt this was very very unprofessional. I have never gotten a response like this when discussing pricing from any vendor. Ironically, I had all the repairs done from another handyman at a cost of $ 450 for everything. But, that really is not the point. Erik was very unprofessional, and if he is going to treat a potential customer like that, I am not sure I would move forward with him anyway.

I found Erik on Unilocal and thought with his good review, I’d give him a try. We are glad we did. Not only is he fairly priced, but he figured out a solution for toilets that was less money. In this economy, we appreciated that. He even thru in a couple of other things without charging. Definitely will use him in the future.

I have several rental properties in Brentwood so finding Erik on Unilocal to fine tune problems was a blessing. He’s very knowledge on home repairs and understands how important it was for me to the do the job right the first time. If he can’t do the job effectively he’ll let you know upfront and won’t waste your time.
He’s a licensed painting contractor, a jack of all trades, and I really enjoy working with someone who is professional and dependable. I found his bids reasonable and not grossly expensive like many service companies that take advantage of the Brentwood community.
Some of the work he’s done for me includes, painting, electrical — appliances– fans etc, plumbing, subfloor repair, landscaping, window repair, moulding, power washing, bathroom remodeling, heating and cooling, and the list goes on and on.
