Went in around 5oclock. It was empty… I mean EMPTY. I stood waiting for someone to come out and take my order but no one came. It smelled like old chicken. I just left and went to a nearby restaurant who actually wanted my money.

I love the burritos here and was thrilled when they re-opened. It is near our house and I love that they have coupons in the VALpack. My only complaint is that I feel like they always run out of guacamole. I always stop in around dinner time and it’s clear that they haven’t made enough for this time of day. I most recently left without placing my order because they were out of it and were not interested in making more.

The food was fresh, the customer service was good and the place was clean. Cost wise it was well worth the $ 6 for the large size burrito. They had multiple choices for toppings and tortillas. I would recommend the place…

My wife and I like this place because the food is fresh and healthy. We have spoke with the owner several times. Great guy. We are both on low sodium diets and were surprised when he told us that almost all items had no added salt. Also his beans are vegan. We usually get the chicken tacos or burrito’s which are excellent and filling. I can’t speak for much else. A better alternative than fast food. yes it is a little pricey but worth it!

I really like Taco Del Mar compared to fast food Mexican. It certainly costs a little bit more, but in most cases it is worth it. If nothing else, the owner is the nicest guy in the world and I like to patronize businesses with people like that. I will caution, I’m not a huge fan of their fish tacos. I’m a fish taco enthusiast and they are rather soggy and kind of fall apart before you can eat them. Their normal steak or chicken burritos however ROCK! Chips are good, but mostly I just like the people. :)

Family and I really enjoy the restaurant. The 4 of us can eat there for around $ 20 and have a good meal. It is fast food mexican, but is far better than most places. The owner is friendly, hard working and cares about his customers. I highly recommend Taco del Mar.

God awful! Stay away from this place. I was unaware that mexican food offered an amuse-bouche bet evidentaly this place does or at least thats exactly what my wife got. I went in here one evening for a quick dinner on my way home. I ordered her a bean burrito and started to laugh at the guy making it as I thought he was messing with me, but alas, he wrapped it up and threw it in the bag. It was a bean burrito that was about the size of a «twinkie». Lol! It was pretty funny untile I got charged like $ 6 for it which averaged out to about $ 2 a bean. Garbage. I ordered a steak burrito for myself and I think mine was about the size of two twinkies, so I guess it was a little bit better but instead of $ 6 I got charged like $ 9, not so funny. I guess they were average burritos, I don’t think that there was enough of a «burrito» there to really get a good sense of what they were all about, but I wont ever be back to find out. Total waste of money. Pretty good for a laugh though.

Restaurant seemed clean, but the prices are CRAZYYYYY for the food not being the greatest. I think for just a plain quesedilla I paid $ 3.75???

I had a craving for a veggie burrito and have been wanting to check out Taco Del Mar. It always looked and sounded a little bit like a chain. As I pulled up I felt an urge to turn the car around. It was lonely. We all know that lonely restaurants are suspect of poor freshness. I almost turned around but felt a pang of guilt. What if the people in the store saw me pull up and their hopes were bolstered by having a customer come in from the night. Maybe Christmas was possible this year. How could I dash those hopes, even in the face of chain restaurant advertising and banners. After all I was only getting a veggie burrito. I walked up to the incredibly steamy door. I braced for an instant fog up of the glasses. Disaster averted. My burrito went through the assembly line. Kind of like getting a burrito at Subway. It was an experience being in there. The only other customer in there was hitting on the teenage assembly woman. Very cute high school flirting. Anyways, burrito was decent. Not bad, not great. It was a-ok. Sure I’d go again, it wasn’t the worst thing I put in my mouth this past week.

The owners were super nice and the tacos were decent size, but there were no chips included?! I got the carne asada which was ok b/c the meat was a little funky… it kinda broke off into chunks when you bit into it and the mild salsa was not mild. Plus the tacos were a little pricey, thus I would recommend going to Baja Fresh instead. Also, if you decide to sit at the high table by the window be careful, b/c I scraped my arm against the light up sign.

The food here is fresh, made without any additives and tasted great! The service is friendly, the décor nice and it is clean. I have eaten here twice, once with my husband. We felt we got good value at a reasonable price. And, it was quick!

I and my family like Taco Del Mar! It’s like a Panda Express for Mexican food, you know you’re not going to have a fine dining experience — it’s quick, clean and we’ve been happy. The owner does hover a bit but he’s very friendly, ended up sponsoring one of the Brentwood baseball teams, I suspect just launching a new business he’s nervous, has invested a lot of money in this and wants things to be perfect for the customer. Definitely recommend if you want something fast, and as healthy or unhealthy as you want to make it. Far, far better choice than Taco Bell!

I knew when I walked in I wasn’t going to like this place. I will always give a new place a try once… and this one got the one visit. The set up reminded me of a cafeteria. The food is behind a glass half wall with the employees on the other side, and food in bins. There was a tall man standing behind the employees, watching… waiting for these employees to make a mistake or something. Odd! Crazy! I think this man has these employees so intimidated that they seemed robotic when putting together my taco/enchilada the time I got that thing it was cold. Anyway…I like spicey food… and I need chilli, hot sauce, or anything to make this really taste like Mexican food. I ask the tall man for some of this type of condiment(a couple of Tablespoons of Pico De Gallo doesn’t cut it), and the tall man hands me a container of hot sauce that was equivalent of a teaspoon? What on earth? I ask him nicely to fill up the container at least. He says; I can sell you this larger size. It’s hot sauce Sir Micromanager… dish it on out! Holy Cow!
