Ordered a salad from here. The menu looks great and I especially like how they went bold with menu and offered Bibimbap which a pretty traditional Korean dish. Will have to come back and give it a try!

What a pleasant surprise! I was wandering around Brentwood looking for something quick to grab and take home. The moment I wanted in I was immediately greeted by the cashier. I ordered the traditional chicken fried rice and waited what seemed less than 5 minutes. The staff was extremely friendly and thanked me for coming in. Upon finishing my meal, I was very pleased with the packaging and the quality of the food. I will definitely return!

Always in the Brentwood local rotation. Very personal touch on unique dishes. Traditional Korean too if that’s your thing. Wish they weren’t so Kal-bi focused on the beef side, but their pork bulgogi is very good. Have to give them five stars for service and temperament… that alone is worth five stars.

What a great find! Found this via Unilocal and was not disappointed. Excellent food at a very reasonable price. Food arrived quickly and the service was fantastic — truly the best of the best. The teriyaki beef was my favorite of all that I sampled. Thanks for a great meal!

This place is outstanding! I was one of those annoying customers that made a million modification, and not once did the person give me a hard time or say no or even hesitate towards any one of my requests! I was ordering extra meat for my brother and he was like, I’ll make sure he gets plenty of meat, and he even stopped by to make sure he had enough meat. Everyone is so nice and the food is awesome! We didn’t order the pork tacos, and the owner gave us one to try. Everyone is so nice especially the guy that takes your order! Oh and the ginger dressing you can tell they blend fresh. Everything is made fresh and you can taste it. You don’t leave feeling all bloated like you typically would with crappy food. We will be back!

Holy Schnikes! Tried this on a whim because of the reviews. What a delightful surprise! It was spectacular. I had the Bi Bim Bop and a chicken taco. My wife had the green curry chicken. Everything was spectacular and the kimchi was even on point. I highly recommend!!!

Oh this place is awesome! It is a little bit sketchy if you take in consideration the outside, but the food and service is impeccable! I got a chicken taco for starters and the Nashville hot chicken as my main course. We went around lunch time so it was pretty busy, but the service was speedy. The place has a sit down Arnold’s feel(if you’ve never been there you should check it out). Either way, the food came out and the manager/owner was very friendly and attentive. The chicken taco and Nashville hot chicken both had a kick of spice, which I enjoyed. The ranch was pretty tasty as well. I would definitely recommend this place and will be returning!

Excellent authentic and fusion cuisine paired with a wonderfully relaxed family atmosphere and the most courteous staff around. My wife and I will be adding Soy to our regular stops. The Bibimbap is wonderful and seasoned to perfection.

This little hole in the wall joint is doing it up right! I got the bibimbop and the flavors were on point. I usually like the option of adding more gochujang(I googled this) but the amount provided was PERFECT. I was disappoint that the bowl it came in wasn’t a stone pot but I should have asked when he gave me the option of bowl or skillet. Definitely pick skillet if you get the bibimbop for that crispy rice goodness. They were sold out of kimchi when we came in but the dude gave us a nice sample of the slaw they use in their tacos and if their kimchi is anything close to the slaw I’ll endorse that. «The curry fried rice was delicious” — John Kreft bassist extraordinar We will be back for more before we leave town. — — — — — - Came back for tacos and AMAZING! I wished this place came to downtown St. Pete I’d be there bi weekly. Awesome food combined with great staff and stellar owners makes for a booming business.

Wow. I chose this bistro due to the reviews here on Unilocal and I was not disappointed. I haven’t eaten authentic Korean since I was in an undisclosed underground location north of Seoul in 1996. Needless to say, this was a more pleasant experience. I met a colleague here who is willing to join me trying out authentic, foreign foods. When I arrived, I knew I was on to something, because there were cars parked on the street, on the curb, on the grass, in the service alley behind the building. There was a line of people out the door, and others waiting for service. Fortunately, the service here is very quick, so our wait was short. If I came again, I might aim for a late lunch, closer to 1pm, because by that time not only was the line gone but there were open tables, and this is a small bistro. The tables are all very close together, so keep that in mind if what you’re looking for is a private or intimate experience. It’s just not that kind of place. It IS the kind of place if you like to watch pampered Brentwood soccer moms navigate the small parking lot or listen in on the conversations of pompous young Brentwood Academy graduates talk about their dominance of office politics in their $ 25,000 a year jobs. It is also the kind of place to get great food and great service. We ordered the two specials of the day, and they were fabulous. Mine had that wonderful, slightly sweet spicy burn you recognize if you’ve ever had it before. Not that rotting, Pyongyong-hot fermented kimchi you’ve experienced on the streets of Yongsong, but a gentle, wonderful experience that you can enjoy with only the slightest fear that it’s about to get substantially worse(it doesn’t). The way my associate assaulted his dish in the quaint aluminum bowl indicated to me that he was equally satisfied. The American staff are eager, and the older guy who I initially mistook for an owner(because he was hustling like only owners do and was meticulous at cleaning tables, chairs and floors), offered to introduce me to the actual owners who I was pleased to observe are Korean. If they were offended by my poor greeting in Korean, they didn’t show it. This is one of those places you could visit a dozen times and try something different every time. I will be doing just that, and if you enjoy great Asian food for a reasonable price, check this place out.

STB is our absolute favorite restaurant in the Nashville area. The menu is not traditional Korean, but a very unique take that produces wonderful results. Some of our favorites are the Bi Bim Bop, the Spicy Pork Bulgogi, and all of the Korean Tacos, which come with fantastic, unique sauces. Their rice bowls are also quite good, including curry, spicy, Hawaiian, and traditional styles. Beyond good taste, the quality of the ingredients is top-notch. The beef, pork, and chicken are always tender and perfectly done. The owners take pride in using the freshest, healthiest, ingredients even if it costs them a little more. Speaking of the owners, they are wonderful and welcoming. They also do a great job of hiring friendly, smiling faces that make you feel good every time you walk in the restaurant. The restaurant is small and modest inside, but well kept and clean. The line at lunch can look long, but it moves quickly. Parking is tight right in front of the restaurant, but the adjoining lot always has spaces. I couldn’t recommend STB any more highly. If you enjoy any kind of Asian food, and go in with the understanding that it’s not just a typical Korean place, you will have a great meal and a great experience.

I had no idea what to expect from this place, as we randomly selected it for lunch. They have a pretty good selection, and I decided to go with a safe choice of shrimp tacos. This place is pretty small but it wasn’t busy when we were there. There are a couple of tables outside, so if it’s a nice day out that is perfect. The tacos were ready rather quickly, and they looked incredible when I finally laid my eyes on them. Those were some quality tacos, with a Korean twist! The sauce was great, and the whole taco was very flavorful. The servers were very friendly, and overall we had a pleasant lunch. I would love to come back here and try more of their offerings, I’m sure none of them would disappoint!

Fresh quick and fantastic! First time there super nice helpful staff. Order came out in under 5 minutes. The server described the dish and how to eat it. Meat of a very high quality, fried egg runny cooked to perfection. I officially have 0 negative things to say about my experience. Best lunch in Brentwood so far!

This place is absolutely fantastic. It has grown from such a small restaurant into a highly esteemed one very quickly. Everyone here is also super friendly. The atmosphere is casual and relaxed. The food is served very quickly, typically within 5 minutes of ordering. I’m a vegetarian and they have plenty of options for me. My favorite is the tofu teriyaki but the vegetarian udon noodles are great too(you have to ask for the noodles because they’re not on the menu). The«spicy» is also very good.

Cute little spot hidden in the corner next to the mcdonals and the laundry store. Their menu adds something new every 2 weeks or so and that is the best option to go for. Seems family owned and operated to efficiency. Every dish has great flavor and i believe it is one of the best lunch spots in the area after Mediterranean Cuisine @ ward circle. Get ready to have a full stomach of healthy clean food and cooke homely. Ambiance is nice and chill so remember to get their early as due to the size it gets packed pretty fast.

There are not many choices when it comes to Asian food here in TN, I had the spicy bulgolgi dish for lunch and I was surprised that the portion size was pretty big. I was raised in the idea of finishing your plate but I just couldn’t finish it. I was there on Friday at 1 pm which was really crowded since it is the Maryland Farms area. I will be back to try their Bimbimbop.

Our family was on a roadtrip and stopped overnight in TN for a break. We were craving Asian food and Soy Teriyaki Bistro was the closest to where we were staying. The place is about café-sized and clean. It is the kind of place where you order at the counter, they give you a number, and will bring it to you. There aren’t TOO many choices, which is good if you’re an indecisive person like me. I went with their special item, the Hot Chicken; my brother got some tacos(chicken, beef, shrimp, and fish); and my mom had the mandarin chicken salad. The chicken had a perfect amount of kick, and was very tender. My brother said out of the 4 tacos he ordered, the beef was his favorite, and my mom also enjoyed her salad. Although it was a little bit pricey for the amount of food we got, the food was very good and flavorful. Overall, a great place!

I came to Soy earlier this week and had a great experience. I had perused the menu prior to coming so I was pretty aware of what I would be ordering. It’s a fast casual type of restaurant so you order at the register, take a number, and the food is brought to you. I ordered the Bibimbap in the skillet– the skillet is a must to get the crispy rice. My only complaint on the dish is that my egg was slightly overcooked– I think this was my fault because I didn’t find it and break into it right away. It was covered with gochujang sauce, which is the tastiest of Asian hot sauce condiments. Overall, the dish was very tasty, filling, and didn’t seem super heavy(maybe I’m missing a key ingredient that is horrible for you, but I’m hoping not!). While eating, a man came around and asked me if he could refill my drink or get me anything else. I really appreciated someone checking in on me after getting my food. When I was done, he also happily cleared my plate for me. I’m looking forward to going back and trying more menu items. I hear their tacos are AMAZING.

Perhaps I ordered the wrong thing, but I truly don’t understand the hype. I ordered the chicken teriyaki with fried rice. It was definitely overpriced, but I’m willing to pay more for quality(or so I thought). Definitely was not blown away by the dish — it was okay(standard issue chicken teriyaki). I’m guessing the hype is because it is in middle Tennessee(which I’m discovering is a food desert) — so it is good relative to other restaurants nearby. IDK. Will I return? Probably Will I go out of my way to eat there? Definitely not. Overall, the food was decent and the service was great. I guess I was expecting more based on the reviews.
