Melanie is once again our top spot for waxing. When I say «we» I mean me and my husband! LOL! She has added some new services to her arsenal such as a micro current facials. I have had these and wow what difference. A face lift without surgery! Her prices are fair considering the work and detail she puts in. Her spray tans have always saved me from looking like the «tourist that just arrived in Hawaii» and before any special event when you want to look tan in a dress. Note: tanning visually takes off 10 pounds…
Skincare By Melanie is a one stop beauty shop. Once I was there for almost two hours getting waxed, facial and then spray tanned (and chit chatting sipping tea and sweets). I almost didn’t recognize myself when I left. LOL!

I was definitely impressed with her care for waxing my eye brows. I am always so nervous to have my eyebrows wax since most of the people I have tried usually messes them up. I have one eye brown that arches perfectly and the other is a bit stubborn. She took the time to make sure they matched. PLUS the wax did not hurt what so ever. It’s nice too to have the booking and payment done via online so just hop in and out her shop. Will definitely be going back for more waxing and perhaps facials.

I have been getting my eyebrows waxed by Melanie since 2006 and she is the absolute BEST!
She shapes my brows painlessly and perfectly every time.
Literally, every time I have seen her in the last 8 years I have walked away so grateful for my perfectly matched and shaped brows.
Over the years I have lived in different areas and when I come home to visit my parents I make sure to book an appointment to see Melanie. It’s a necessity for me and even during busy days Melanie always graciously fits me in!
She is such a skilled and professional esthetician. In addition to the waxing, in the past I’ve gotten a facial for my late developing acne and again, was so impressed by her knowledge and ability.
I honestly don’t know what I would do without Melanie.

I was a bit nervous, as a guy, for getting waxing done. The pain, embarrassment, and whatnot. Melanie was really cool and professional about the whole thing and assured me I was doing what most guys should be doing. The service was really great and the office was clean and accommodating.
Though a few spots were really tender, most of the hair removal was quick and painless. I definitely recommend this business and I already scheduled my first maintenance appointment for next month.

Just received an amazing facial from Melanie!
As a gift from my wife, I was treated to a facial from Melanie. I’ve received facials in Vegas and other high end resorts, but none were as detailed oriented as Melanies.
I tend to get a lot of blackheads, and she really focus on making sure my problem areas were addressed. I left glowing and defiantly will get one again in the near future.
I left with some products she suggested which included a face lotion and eye cream that my wife and I could both use. I defiantly would suggest seeing Melanie for this type of service.

Total perfectionist– WOW! I was looking for someone new and saw the reviews on Unilocal.Then I remember hearing her name at other salons, everyone always said that she was great at waxing and facials– they weren’t kidding! So I saw her for the first time and I was amazed at how quick and perfect her work was. So glad I found someone who is professional, punctual, and personable. Melanie Dewey «The Skin Care Specialist» is truly «THE SPECIALIST.» She has been waxing my eyebrows for 8 years… and all I can say is PERFECT! There is a reason why I’ve been going to Melanie for 8 years… because she knows what she’s doing.
Her specialty goes beyond eyebrows, as she also does chemical peels. I had a chemical peel on my back before my wedding 3 years ago and my back is still flawless!
Melanie is not only a specialist, but she’s also the best.
