Ribs N Things

I never tried he BBQ but I have had their Chinese food. There is something lost with this carry out and their food. It’s like they stop caring about the taste. I would describe it as Meh. Even their Mumbo sauce. Their deserts are factory made and Meh also. I will say that their service is quick but maybe that’s where they lose in the quality of taste.

Disgusting!!! If I could give a zero I would. First of all the place stinks and the food stinks. As soon as I walked into the place a needed to run out and gasp for air. Was really in the mood for BBQ and figured let’s order half a slab, maybe the bad smell was from the Chinese food.
I got cornbread, baked beans and potato salad to go with the ribs. The cornbread was tiny, not fresh, cold and wrapped in plastic. I just threw that out. The beans tasted too sweet and oily and the potato salad was ok but did not taste fresh.
Now the ribs. First of all the lady forgot to include BBQ sauce, even though she was selling BBQ ribs. I had some BBQ sauce at home which I used. Now the ribs were utterly disgusting! They were tough and had a horrible after taste. I wanted to puke after my first bite. Needless to say I am never stepping foot in there again!

I have not had a good experience at all with this establishment. I ordered shrimp and black beans online for delivery; however, when the meal came, it was a bowl of onions, green peppers, and a few shrimp with a sprinkle of black beans in the bowl. I called and spoke to Angela, the manager, to tell her that a mistake was made with my order. She was very rude to me and stated that if I had called ahead I would have known what came in the meal. When I explained to her that this was not what I thought I was getting she stated that she would not refund the money or change my order and she hung up on me. I have never spoken with a manger at a restaurant who was so rude. The other food was okay, but forgettable. I will not spend another dime at a place where the manager does not know how to speak to a customer. Very disappointing to say the least.

Tried this place for delivery of a meal for the first time; service was very friendly and very quick; they told me that my delivery would be 30 – 35 minutes, it was more like 20 minutes. I ordered their rib platter; got good, meaty ribs with a spicy sauce on the side, a decent potato salad (lots of mustard), and good collard greens. I got the lemon chess pie for dessert (desserts are apparently gotten from a supplier in NJ). They have a variety of foods, including Chinese, subs, wings, seafood dinners, ribs, and chicken. I’m not giving 5 stars based on just one meal, but I intend to order from them again and try the fried seafood platter; if it’s as good as their ribs, I’ll definitely up my rating to 5 stars.

Yeh. Tried a ribs and chicken combo. The half chicken was a nice full half chicken, not just parts. The breast meat was not terribly overcooked and dry. The ribs were beef, but had quite a bit of meat on them. The hot sauce was well done. The high quality smoky flavor imparted upon the meats made the meal! The greens were salty and finely chopped for the geriatric set, which I suppose I’ve seen before. As marsha indicated, white bread comes standard – ack. If I lived closer, I might hit it up every once in a while, but will probably stick with Hogs in Beltsville.

although there’s a thick acrylic or laminated glass along the counter to discourage burglary and a rotating slot for the food to go through, they walk the food through a side door to you, which I thought a nice touch.

I like this place because I really hate fast food, but when I want food I want it fast. It has chicken, ribs, pork chops and sides like cole slaw, baked beans, collard greens, string beans, corn, potato salad, corn bread. It’s cheap and amazingly fast. They have sweet potato pie, apple cobbler, peach cobbler, lemon cake and chocolate cake. I get either wings or a ½ chicken with cole slaw. You can get hot or mild sauce. Bread comes with the order. It’s much better than drive thrus. BTW… it’s take out and it takes less than 5 minutes.
