Poor food, occasionally has a couple of hits but the salads and sandwiches are nothing special. Over priced for what you get. They just happen to have a convenient location next to the office.

3.5 stars, I wish Unilocal gave us more accuracy for rating. They have good sandwiches. Only open for lunch, the atmosphere is kinda old and not necessarily worth travelling to and better than a subway. Location is key for me.

Based on the other reviews, I think I must have either come on the wrong day or just ordered the wrong things. The place is pretty plain and simple. Just a nice little deli. The man behind the counter was very friendly and helpful, but after we ordered I was a little confused on how we were going to get the food. We got no number, had no name taken… someone ended up finding us and bringing our food out to us after a longer than average wait. I was not a big fan of my sandwich or my side of pasta salad. The portions were huge, though, so it was a good deal for the price. Well, it would have been if I hadn’t left half the meal on the plate. I’m not sure why my experience was so much different than everyone else’s, but based on my first time I’m not sure I’ll be back to try again.

Hoagie Supreme is the only thing that sticks out as an above average sandwich. Owners changed and I barely go there anymore since Phillip isn’t there anymore. He was pretty much the only charm to the place.

It’s no secret — I love sandwiches. To the point where if I had to eat one thing for the rest of my life, it might be a sandwich. So, imagine my excitement when I find this little gem of a deli near my work! Upon walking in, the décor is simple and very lunch place-esque. I had to get my food to-go, but I wouldn’t mind eating here with some buds. I ordered the Turkey Reuben(wrapped with a pickle and Phillip’s seal of approval) and the pasta salad. I loved them both so much that writing this review actually makes me want to go order them again. Prices were reasonable, and the wait was quick to get my little slice of reuben heaven. If you’re in the Brentwood area and are sick of chains, go today!

Great, fresh sandwiches with a friendly staff! Whenever I’m in Nashville, this is one of the places I make sure I stop by. All the sandwiches are excellent. My personal favorite is the turkey breast deluxe(no tomato for me). They also have great potato salad. The staff is outstanding — always quick, attentive, and friendly. Phillip is there a lot of the time, and it’s nice knowing you’re supporting a truly local restaurant. It can get really busy at lunch and parking can be tricky, but it’s worth it!

Phillip’s is great spot to jump in and eat a quick sandwich and a side of pasta salad. This is a straight forward sandwich with lots of meat… which is is important! Not much has changed about Phillip’s in the last 10 years that I have eating there… but nothing needs to change.

Parking is a bit tough at lunch hour, but the food is worth it. I love that the inside of this place looks like it hasn’t changed since they opened. They don’t care about the decorations but they sure do care about their food. I can’t say what I’ve eaten here has been healthy, but I’m sure they have plenty of healthy options on their menu. I just happen to go for the«oh-so-delicious, who cares how many calories this is» options. I tell myself its a deli so it must be healthy to make myself feel better. Either way, stop here for lunch one day and you’ll fall in love.

Phillip’s Delicatessen has been around Brentwood since the mid-to-late 1990s, and I loved it as much this past Friday as I did when I was in high school. Look, this definitely is not a place for the vegan, vegetarian, or Celiac in your life. It’s a deli and their primary fair are sandwiches. And, damn good sandwiches too. Now, 12 years ago, they served Boar’s Head meats but now they have changed to another deli brand that I did not recognize but I trust in Phillip choosing the best stuff. I really enjoyed their Philadelphia Royale sandwich with ham, salami, roast beef, lettuce, mayo,(tomato, too, if you like it… I hate raw tomatoes), and some special sauce(basically it’s italian seasoning in some kind of oil). I did grab my Celiac wife a loaded baked potato. They let me check the bacon package label and it was OK. The chives, OK. The sour cream, OK. But, Phillip’s only carries Margarine… and not butter, so sorry Celiacs out there, no butter for you. People rave about the chicken and potato salad at Phillip’s as well. I’ve never been a fan of either chicken salad or potato salad at Phillip’s or anywhere else on this fair planet of ours. So… what-do-I know… :) If you’re in Brentwood and need lunch, I recommend Phillip’s for a quick stop. I wouldn’t drive from timbuktu to get here, but it’s great for the locals around the area.

What a great place. I almost don’t know what to say about it. The food is amazing and fresh, the people that work there are nice. I love getting their California Chicken Melt in a spinach wrap. Simply delicious. Just eat there

The absolute best tuna salad sandwich I’ve ever had in my life. My office likes to order about 3lbs of the stuff and we dress it with the tomato basil vinegarette. The guys I work with can’t get enough of it! Phil is always so nice to his customers and he’ll explain any questions you have. I’d suggest going during off-peak hours to avoid the major rush that shows up.

Phllip’s is a good neighborhood deli. The Turkey Reuben with house mustard, sauerkraut, swiss and so on, on marble rye is lower cal and good too. The whole Muffuletta Supreme is a big monster sandwich a teen guy might be able to handle, or not. Breakfast Burritos good also.
