Hewitt Garden & Design Center

Hewitt’s is awesome and always helpful. They’ll spend more time than you think they should but they’ve always aimed to please. We’ve purchased several larger trees from them and many perennial and annual plants. They’ve always provided excellent stock and tremendous customer services. I only wish they were closer or had a second location that I could visit more often.

If I had a green thumb, or if I were in the landscaping business, I think this would be the place you would find me 90% of the time. Not only is it one of the largest landscape and gardening places I’ve seen in this area, it’s almost like being in a botanical garden. Around 15 miles south of Nashville (that’s just my estimate – I didn’t actually map it) off Hillsboro Road, it’s definitely out of the city which is one reason they are able to have so many acres of land.
I enjoyed just walking through the «trails» between all the shrubs, trees, and plants that they sell. From what I could tell, it’s not the cheapest place to shop for this type of thing, but I know these folks know what they are doing. There was a lot of traffic in the 25 minutes I spent there, from professional landscapers to little old ladies who were buying flowers and plants for their gardens.
