Every single time I come here there is a problem. From HORRIBLE customer service to not having half the menu because they either ran out or didn’t feel like making it that day. Also, they don’t open at 10 so please change the hours and have them posted on your door. I have walked in because the door was open TWICE and been told they weren’t open yet or had already closed. The time I walked in and was told they had closed was at 4:30 on a Sunday. Please if you are not open for business lock your doors so people don’t walk in. I would love for this location to close and let another restaurant that actually wants to be open come to our shopping center. As an employee of another store it would be nice to be able to have somewhere reliable to go for lunch. I have never been so frustrated with a restaurant. Awful.

Every time I go here(on my lunch break) they are always out of stuff. Once I finally find something I want to eat it takes about 15 – 20 to get my food. By then my lunch is over. Just walked in today at 11:05 and the guy says they are closed. But they open in about 20 – 25 minutes. Then why was the door unlocked and why does it say 11:00 opening time? He seemed like they were behind on opening duties or something and weren’t ready for customers. I was a little shocked. I really thought he was kidding at first when he said they were closed, until he said come back in 20 – 25. Won’t go here anymore. It’s just a hassle anymore. Food is OK. If you’ve got the time to wait around. Floor is always sticky. And… Winco ketchup? I work nearby and I’ll be sure to tell everyone to not go there anymore. It’s crap.

Don’t waste your time, but more importantly don’t waste your money! There is no type of customer service here. I went in on a Sunday afternoon, excited to try a new place out, when I walked up to the front counter I was mugged by the girl behind the register. I placed my order to find out they ran out of two of the three types of fries they offer. So I settled with their regular fries, when I asked if I could get fresh fries I was mugged by the guy that had already put the old fries together. When I got my burger I couldn’t even eat it, I wanted to go and ask for my money back, but thought to myself that may too much for the teenagers that run the place. I hope this place goes out of business so that something else with better service and better tasting food can replace it.

I am NOT a burger person and I made it almost through the burger. It was much better than most. My boys were overjoyed with theirs. The place was recently sold, so I was pleasantly surprised considering what I had been told by acquaintances. The bacon was a little too chewy for me, but the burger patty was very flavorful. The service is what had me, it was spot on. I had Randy as the order taker and Kameela building the burgers. I am very picky when it comes to burgers and chili, so they let me taste the chili prior to ordering. I liked it, but decided to wait on that. They gave me a small container to go to get a better taste at home. I have to say that it was good, definitely better than most fast food restaurants. The staff was friendly and eager to do their jobs well. The boys and I had a delightful lunch and we will definitely be back. I gave three stars for the food and an extra star for the service.

WORSTCUSTOMEREXPERIENCEEVER: Looked forward to visiting Fatburger in Brentwood, CA, which happened Sunday, February 28, 2016. First, the soda machine was broken. OK, so I’ll buy a beer. But wait! There was nobody on premises over the age of 20 and they wouldn’t be able to sell a beer, despite the fact there were frosty brews right in front of my eyes. Then, the children behind the counter offered me lemonade. I agreed and they delivered a big glass of lemon-flavored syrup. Apparently, these kids can’t perform the basic math necessary to mix water with the syrup. OK, so I was able to get a big glass of water and dilute the lemon syrup down to an acceptable drink. After that, the crack teen staff delivered a luke-warm burger and a side of stale, under-cooked fries. How do these people stay in business?

Why do I keep coming here? I asked to try chilidog, out of chili on a Sunday. The soda machine is broken, ok I guess I don’t need the sugar. The music is so damm loud my wife could not hear me so we had to go outside to talk. The ketchup on the tables is from Winco. If the music is so loud that the person taking my order can’t hear me… maybe the music should be lowered. Cross contamination is a pet peave of mine. I observed a staff member wearing purple gloves spraying down the tables with a Windex labeled bottle. The manger yells order up! The staff member who been spraying down table puts the Windex down and goes to grab the order and proceeds to deliver the tray to a table. The staff member placed his glove hand(thumb) inside the edge of the tray. There were approximately 8 other patrons in the facility when this happened. The burger was not bad the ratio of mustard to mayo was very good, thus the 2 star rating for the burger itself. As a former ServSafe instructor and Registered Environmental Health Specialist, with CDPH, I feel compelled to contact Contra Costa Environmental Health, so they can provide some education about food safety to the staff at this location.

I came in after a long day of riding my Harley, and ordered a bacon cheeseburger. It was JUST okay. Nothing to rave about. Quite disappointed though after paying the amount it cost for that, fries, and a drink. It wasn’t juicy, and the bun seemed bigger than the meat. That’s my tell tale sign of a good burger … if the meat and cheese is not oozing out of the burger radius, then to me it’s like someone is trying to get me full on bread. I shouldn’t have to send a search party out for the meat. I could’ve been better satisfied at any fast food joint. Looks like I’ll stick to 5 Guys!

Came to fat burger. Expecting that they would be able to honor what was on the sign on their front door meaning that they served beer AND wine turns out they don’t serve wine here. So it would be great to come to fat burger that honor what it said on the sign,

The sign on top of the door stuff closed but they were open. They messed up my order… I asked for a meal AND an order of onion rings. When the food came, no fries with the meal. Was given huge attitude as soon as my husband and I walked in from the woman taking orders. Excited to try my burger only to taste a salt lick! I love a well seasoned patty but man this patty tasted like it got rolled in salt before going on the grill. Onion rings were just okay. Save yourself a couple bucks and go to the habit burger down the street.

The hamburgers weren’t great, they weren’t horrible either. If I was super hungry and nothing else was available, I would probably try them again. However, the place was gross/dirty. There was only one other couple there, so they easily could have spent some time cleaning. I almost didn’t eat because of how dirty the whole place felt, top to bottom

The service was quick because there was no one in line & the place was nearly empty. I got the veggie burgers with shrooms & avocado & all the veggies, and I also asked for no mayo. So I waited about 15min or so which felt like an eternity since there were only a couple other people in there that already had their food. And when my burger comes out what’s on it? MAYO! I just removed the top bun & asked the chick to give me one without the mayo. I was too damn hungry to have them remake the entire burger. They toasted me a new clean bun & I ate the burger in about 2 minutes! It was good, but not as flavorful as the one I had from Fat burger in Vegas. It sucks there was only ONEORDER& not even busy and they sill couldn’t even get that right. I’ll come back again eventually, but most likely only out of desperation since there are other food places that don’t mess my order up when it’s slow.

Disappointed in the hype I received over this place. I was expecting to be overwhelmed and really the only thing overwhelmed was my wallet. The burgers were good and the meat was fresh but I expected to be asked how I want my meat cooked, never was. My two year old got the chicken tenders which were way over cooked, the crust was rock hard on the ends and the chicken dry. For me the worst part was the cost, $ 12 a meal is ridiculous. Even if we had not got the $ 2.75 soda the $ 9 burger and fry was not worth it. With Red Robin and Mel’s already in the plaza I don’t anticipate Fatburger will last long at this location.

We came here because they just opened but the burgers are overpriced and taste entirely too much of mustard and pickles, environment is noisy and full of ghetto teenagers and teenagers who don’t know how to do their jobs. It’s nothing to write home about. In N Out will always be bae. It was neat seeing someone win that challenge though…

Well they certainly didn’t lie about the fat part! I had heard about Fat Burger throughout the L.A. area, so after discovering they were going to be opening up one here in nor cal Brentwood, a slight bit of curiosity struck. I decided to give fat burger a shot while running some errands in Brentwood, and when a craving for a burger struck. Usually when these strong cravings come upon me, I head over to In n out and settle for a protein burger(wrapped in lettuce) being they are so tasty, and of course so cheap. Well, being the curious Unilocaler I am, I decided to see what the fatness was all about and head on over to check them out. Nestled in its new home in the streets of brentwood, it has since taken over the location where several other failed businesses once resided. The ambiance exudes that classic 50’s diner feel, though just with a slight more modern edge. The menu is um, well, fat. The offer burgers all the way from a small(normal size burger patty) medium(gettin huge) Large(huge) x large(getting gross) xx large(disgusting looking) and even an xxx Large(barf). They do also offer a nice additional variety of options to choose from such as salads, turkey burgers and hot dogs. As well as your standard sides and shakes. I was initially going to get a protein burger, but after discovering they only offer the shredded lettuce, I decided to just go with the buns with no intention of eating the them. I was hungry, so I ordered a Medium size burger. You have your choice of cheese which is a plus. I ended up choosing american. I also added raw onion and tomato. It was pricey at $ 8 and some change. Service was decent and helpful. Burger presentation was on point; and I actually think it was quite tasty. I had a few bites of the buns just to taste, and found it would had been worth the carbs if I wasn’t in a carb watching mood; for the texture was soft, buttery and chewy; just like I like it. Burger patty was also flavored, and cooked well. I still would choose In n out over this place, but I certainly was impressed with the overall taste and quality. I would never make this my go-to place for burgers, but I am definitely curious to check out some of their other options.

This place just opened so expect some delays in service, mistakes on orders etc. I’m sure as time goes by the crew will get in a groove and be fine. Menu is what you could expect from a burger joint, Pricey. With that said, here are my first impressions of the place. The Place: Typical burger joint environment, very noisy as they yell all the orders, nice size dining area, music playing in the background. Our order: Large Burger, NOLETTUCE, With Swiss cheese Turkey Burger, NOLETTUCE Fat Fries Onion Rings The Service: They bring your eat-in orders to the table and offer to get condiments if you need them. You could see that the crew was inexperienced working together as there were many mistakes made not with only our order but with other orders that were being delivered around us. Luckily the girl delivery the food was very nice and tried her best to make things right, ie take it back. The Food: They forgot to remove the lettuce off of one of the burgers and the fries were a bit cold. The presentation was a bit sloppy as it seemed like the food was rushed. I like the burger is had seasoning in the meat and the condiments reminded me of eating a hot dog, which I enjoyed. My main gripe for my burger was that the bun, it was cold and kind of stale tasting. The turkey burger my wife ordered was ok at best, she said it didn’t wow her. Final thoughts: Like I said in the beginning, this place just opened and you can see that in the service and the chaotic back kitchen. They also seemed over priced for what you got. The crew interaction was pleasant, the girl who took our order was nice, as was the girl who brought out order to the table. They all seemed like they were working hard. I’d like to go back in a month or so to see if they have gotten into more of a groove working together but for now based on food quality vs price I can only give this place 2 stars.
