Nice location next to Marsh Creek trail and the park has 2 big toys, swings and a large open grass area just off the playground. Good shade and in a nice neighborhood. Maybe the best kid park in the area.

Someone turned me on to this place last summer and throughout the summer months, this was our starting point for our bike rides along the Marsh Creek Regional Trail. «The Marsh Creek Regional Trail, in easternmost Contra Costa County, winds along Marsh Creek through bountiful tracts of farmland. The paved, multi-use trail is about 6.5 miles long and extends from Creekside Park in Brentwood to the wave-lapped Delta shores of Big Break. When completed, the trail will be 14 miles long and will connect the fertile Delta region with the wooded foothills of Morgan Territory Regional Preserve and the quiet serenity of Round Valley Regional Park east of Mt. Diablo State Park. Trail users can benefit from several community parks and greenbelts along the way, which offer respite from mid-day summer heat.» Whether I’m biking or walking Marsh Creek Trail, my route takes me straight through Creekside park. What you can expect: — nestled within a charming subdivision, Creekside park is somewhat hidden from passerby’s on Balfour — serene setting — something for everyone; jogging, walking, biking, tennis court, playground, ball field, basketball, BBQ, and picnic areas — a wonderful place to bring your children with lots to explore I recommend starting here at Creekside and making your way to Big Break Regional Shoreline in Oakley or vice versa. I prefer the former. Once you’re on the trail, this is what you’ll find: — trees — farmland — wildlife(you are in farm country, afterall); squirrels, birds, cows, horses, chickens, etc — creeks, lots of creeks — a rope swing or two others have tied to trees along the path — the occasional fellow biker/walker/jogger… make sure you say, «hi, hello, good morning/afternoon,» or any version thereof — peace and tranquility Although, close to the heavily traveled roads of Brentwood/Oakley, the sounds of the bustling city wash away amongst the sounds of the water and the trees. This is my gift to you. Enjoy.
