Stopped for lunch on the way back from Houston. I had the rib plate and others the brisket. Ribs were good but not great; a bit salty. In fact all dishes were over salted for my tastes. Brisket was moist and above average. BBQ sauce was not to my liking — very tomatoey. I would avoid the jalapeño mac-n-cheese for sure. Overly spicy. The bakery is great. Yeast bread is excellent and kolaches are very good. Summary: Decent BBQ and sides bit overly seasons so you loose the flavor of meat/side. Definitely take advantage of bakery items.

It has been over 10 years since I had last ate here, so this past weekend I decided I would take the wife here. It has changed a little cosmetically, but when you walk in it still has the older local crowd drinking coffee and talking. The menu is short, sweet, and isn’t so big that you won’t be able to choose what to eat. I had the country breakfast which comes with, two eggs, two sausage patties, hash browns and a supple fluffy biscuit. For all that you are paying $ 5.99, not only is it a great meal it’s on the cheap side. The sausage is made in house and is the best you will get anywhere! The servers are friendly and it’s a nice quiet place to have breakfast. If you’re ever in the area around breakfast time I would highly suggest stopping in.

This place was amazing! BBQ was great, pickles were sour, fries amazing. To top it off, we all got handmade shakes! Will go again!!!

I didn’t try much b/c it was a quick in and out but DAMN, that chicken fried steak sandwich was SO feaking good! I might have to go in and order two more!!! Plus, it was only $ 5 for the meal. I might have to visit the country more often.

Great friendly service at the café. Meat market next door has great sausage, the spicy jalapeño is awesome!
