Went there for lunch, we pulled up, went inside, a group of folks on the porch and no one to be found inside. Our group was out to try something new, money to spend, support local business, and we were standing in the entrance like idiots looking around. We left.

I’ve been to this bar a handful of times, and I have to say, it is a very cliquish bar reminiscent of the awkward high school social scene. If your not one of the locals, people are not very friendly. I prefer laid back bars where you can kick back with a brew, and engage in some light conversation with people you meet. This ISNOT that kinda of bar. The other night I was hanging out there, just trying to socialize a little bit, trying to talk to people, and this skinny blonde bartender accused me of harassing people, and being too drunk. Has only had 2 or 3 beers, and I was being very courteous to all the patrons, so I was somewhat nonplussed. Likewise, most of the patrons seem to go out of their ways to be unfriendly, so if you stop in by yourself, and you not one of the local yokels, be prepared to stare at your beer awkwardly for hours.

Uhhhh yeah. definitely not a place for youths. Its a really strange bar with a weird mix of people. I’ve only been there once, maybe it would be better for a large group? First impression? Great place to get stabbed, and I’m from Oakland! I think they like it that way though, so there probs some good stuff happening that i just wasn’t clued in to. I think the dj was also video mashing to the music… That’s where one of these stars came from, i wouldn’t say it was«good» but it was def original.

If you have read the reviews as family friendly, and it was then when first opened… not now at all. It’s a full on bar. Went there for dinner with my 18 and 2 yo. First I noticed no tvs, game area it had. Ok. I asked for a high chair and as we are waiting, a Nine Inch Nails Closer uncut version song came on. I was stunned and covered little ones ears, she wanted to dance. I should’ve walked out then. Music became more appropriate for dinnertime. Got menus, ordered and though a little slow, food was good and staff friendly. I have to say also when I stepped out front, there was a customer smoking a joint just feet away from the sign that says no indulgence. This is clearly a bar so as a family we won’t be back. :(

I REALLY wanted to like this place. We went on the Saturday before the Superbowl so of course everyone was 12th man crazy and DRUNK at 11:00. We walked in and it was pretty busy. I won’t lie the yelling at the top of the lungs SEAHAWKS over and over almost pushed me over the edge. But hey, we were in a bar so I can’t complain too much. Service was pretty good. Waitress was nice and helpful. Menu looked good, lots of choices. We ordered hot wings, which were pretty darn tasty if I say so myself. Big pieces and seasoned well. I’ll give them a star for those. My husband ordered a sandwich that was just greasy and tasteless. He enjoyed his fries, they were similar to the ones at Crazy Erics. I ordered homemade corned beef hash and eggs. Well normally when you order those somewhere and you pay $ 8 they come with hashbrowns? I didn’t realize they didn’t until my tiny plate came. The hash looked literally like cat food and was burnt to a crisp. I couldn’t eat it. My eggs were greasy. I had 2 slices of toast but NO hashbrowns :-(I only took a few bites of my hash and couldn’t do it. Not only was it very unappealing to look at it also tasted as burnt as it looked and DRY. I’ll give them another try. They have a pretty big menu with lots of choices so maybe hash just isn’t their thing. :)

First visit was good. I had a veggie sandwich and hashbrowns. BF had a scramble covered in gravy with toast, he said his was really tasty, mine was pretty good — enough to go back for sure. The only problem was that the avocados weren’t ripe yet, and I like my potatoes more crunchy. I’m hoping the night life here is fun too, since Stoddy’s and the HiFi are both closing this month.

They’ve made the best pizza I’ve ever had: Flatbread with pesto sauce, fresh mozzarella, and roast beef! If you order the small personal pizza’s with thick crust, it’s the typical teeny ones with 4 slices. Though with the flatbread they squash it down to make 6 larger slices! Free Foosball table! The place is split in half. The front is accessible to minors that features a FREEFOOSBALLTABLE, and a $ 3 crane game packed full of stuffed animals that is PLAYUNTILYOUWIN. Plenty of seating for pizza night out with the family. They also got a flat-screen TV mounted on the wall. Simply ask for the remote. In the other half is the bar area with a separate entrance. Two flat-screen TVs mounted on the walls tuned into whatever sports you want. This is the first bar I’ve seen in the Northwest that features an alcohol breathalyzer vending machine, lol. Take the whole family out, order some pizza, let the kids fumble with remotes and Foosball and crane games while you get as drunk as you want, then just go up to the breathalyzer and see when it’s okay for you to take the family home. How awesome! Weekly FREE bar-stool bingo on Tuesdays, FREE texas hold ‘em tournaments on Thursday(hosted by WPT), and two pool tables that are rarely overtaken. I love this place!

Just tried these guys for breakfast yesterday morning… the prices are seriously decent; I had an omelet which was cool because they had a TON of options for mix ins(I chose spinach, onion, and mozzarella; they listed everything from avocado to shrimp). The BF had a «Papa Platter» which comes with three meat sides… plenty of food. The coffee was good and the owner was personable; she told us a little about their goals for providing Kitsap with a good place for families to go to and eat and play(there are games such as pool and foosball, and saw info about free wifi). Definitely family-oriented(a little girl practically stuck her hand in my plate, but we laughed it off and hopefully that was just a fluke), Papas is open nearly 24 hours all week, and we can’t wait to come back and try lunch and dinner.
