Best steaks in kitsap county, pleasant servers and good drinks. Fun atmosphere that is kid-​friendly during daytime and dinner hours

I went today for lunch around 1230pm, I got the fish and chips, my dining companion got the Clint Eastwood burger. We both enjoyed our meals. The service was a little slow but there was only one person so we understood. We will be back!

This place is fun, but I have never seen more women looking to go home with guys from the base in my life.
Trust me ladies… Don’t take home a drunken sailor.

Not a bad place– big space, 2 pool tables, darts, peanuts that you can throw the shells on the ground, great jello shots, and a mechanical bull. I’ve gone here 2 times now (once a long time ago) and the staff have always been friendly. They play a mix of top 40 and country music and old school songs complete with music videos. I do like that they play some slow songs too. You can also rent out the back area for events if you have the desire to. It was a fun place for my friends and I to visit in our local town.

I’ve never eaten the food here so I can’t comment on that. But drinks aren’t cheap and the DJ plays horrible music, the same music all the time. Don’t bother trying to request a song because he’s rude and has no customer service then won’t even play the songs you request.

The bar tenders are the best thing this place has going for it. Having visited this place once was enough, but my friends kept suckering me into going — especially on Thursdays for ladies night (girls get in free and dudes pay $ 5 as if they had a chance). Fights are a frequent activity because the security are jerks, and you know what happens when alcohol is involved. They have dumb dress codes that they choose when and to whom they enforce it. No backwards hats, bandanas, nor tank tops. Girls come here to dance because it has a large dance floor. But the DJ plays the same stuff every time, and it gets obnoxious every week. I always leave feeling like I spent the whole evening yelling and arguing. Cops are always in the parking lot ready to snatch anyone for being aggressive or walking towards their vehicle. Luckily, taxi cabs stand by, too.

Have had the nachos there twice and both times I left there disappointed. I am a chef and always wanna give the cooks the benefit of the doubt but they really need to train these guys how to make something as simple as an order of nachos. The top layer looked ok till I realized that all the cheese was not even melted. Then as I got to the middle almost all the rest of the stuff was falling off the stale chips because there was hardly any cheese. Won’t be going there for nachos again

It’s a bar that serves food-​even if the dining area is three times or more the size of the bar. Peanuts are served to keep the alcohol flowing and nothing wrong with that. As long as you are aware that it’s a bar.
On the other hand, this bar has a decent kitchen. On the recent visit my dad and I did, we walked in on a fully filled seating area with lots of families with kids. This tells me that the food is pretty good since most of these people looked to be regulars.
I had the rack of ribs (St Louis Style) while my dad had the flatiron steak. I was impressed with the quality of the ribs-​lots of meat and little else. Great run with a touch of sauce, just the way it’s advertised in the menu. My dad loved his steak along with the port reduction sauce. The servings are huge and definitely could be split between two smaller eaters or doggie bagged.
Service by our waiter was great. He kept our drinks topped off and was available as needed.
I would definitely return for the food even though the atmosphere is that of a bar.

Weak drinks. Terrible bouncers on the weekend. Very rude personal. Never been treated more terrible at a bar.

Paid the cover, the bouncers marked two big X’s on my hands after my second drink, then got thrown out for dancing the wrong way. The bouncers all try to act like cops. Very rude staff. Extremely unwelcoming. Will never go back. Not recommended.

The DJ was rude. Crossed the dance floor and he came up with attitude «what part of no drinks on the dance floor.» mind you I accidentally crossed the floor with a water. Didn’t even drink it. My seat was just closer. Confronted him and he poked me and was rude about it. Never going again. Will call them tomorrow and complain.
I was not drunk. He was really rude. Cannot get over his attitude. Maybe people from LA have more fun when they get out? They’re assholes (excuse my french).

First greeting from our waitress was very unfriendly. After putting in a dinner order she then tried to talk me out of my dinner! «Are you sure you want that? It is a lot of food!» she says. I then say, «Yes, I am sure.» This made me feel embarrassed now. Who is she to question what I can and can’t eat?
Then when our order comes out, there was only one order! My husband had his plate but mine was never ordered! We questioned her and she then remarked she thought we were sharing and left to put the order in. The first plate had cold, overcooked, dry brisket, ribs, and pulled pork. We needed more napkins but she never followed up with us until the other plate came out. The first entrée was so unappealing, we had her box our second plate. We never finished the first dinner. She asked if we wanted that boxed too and we told her it wasn’t very good and that we were not interested in having her box it. She boxed our order and brought our bill for $ 58.00. We paid, tipped and left. I also over heard her try to talk another table out of order two desserts. What kind of idiot server could you possibly be? You are there to make sales. Duh! Never going back. This is only one of multiple bad service experience there.

When I saw the prices, I was hoping the food was worth it. It was! Huge portions! Really tasty. Our waitress was fabulous. There is a nice sized dance floor that doubles as a play area, so it’s a great place to bring the kids. Definitely a must-​try! We’ll be back!

I loved how family friendly this place is during the day! Great kids menu. Peanuts and peanut shells on the floor! Interesting (western style) décor. Good size adult menu. Very yummy fries and burgers. Staff super friendly.
My daughter loved running around the dance floor, and playing with the horse toys.
Also they have some great events (family days, car show).

Absolutely love this place! Very family oriented as well as great adult atmosphere after 9. Great food, great people and great music!

Been here many times now over the years. It is one of our favorite places on date night (when they happen). Drinks are good, we always have fun playing darts or dancing. We have eaten there a few times as well. I really like their wings. Chicken strips were delicious too. New Years Eve dinner (twice now) was amazing and deep fried pickles? Sounds weird, but I’m a fan! I love how they offer so many family days and events there. Even hopped on the bouncers with my granddaughter once after dinner. Very diverse crowd, and music after midnight as well. Owner tries really hard to make sure you are happy with your time there.

The shining star last Friday night was definitely the service. Our waitress was lovely and always around when we needed her. They had a great (local) beer selection in addition to the usual draft choices.
The food was just OK. For a place that sort of prides itself on its BBQ, I was a bit disappointed in the pulled pork tacos. But I’ve never been fond of an overly sweet barbeque sauce. I’ll probably go back and indulge in the free line dancing lessons or when El Husbando feels like playing poker.

Stopped in here around 515pm on a Saturday evening after a friend told me they had really good BBQ and I should try what they have before going anywhere else. He also had a %50 off coupon for any entrée so I figured this was a good hook up indeed.
I sat at the bar where I found the place pretty laid back and not very busy at all really. It was early of course so that’s expected at a Grill House & Saloon. I don’t really pick up till later on I’m told. I ended up ordering the applewood combo platter for $ 17 and a soda. The bartender was very kind and helpful in keeping tabs on when I was ready to order and had my food out to me within 10 minutes tops of having placed the order.
This was a mound of food folks! Piled high with 2 different types of applewood smoked and basted in a smokey, sweet, fruity like BBQ sauce I truly enjoyed. Fall off the bone ribs, tender juicy pulled pork and very tender and flavorful beef brisket. The sweet tater fries were a plus as its my #1 side item anywhere, anytime. Safe to say this entrée hit the spot and then some after finishing. If your not coming in with a big appetite then don’t order this or come with a friend cause this is not for the small stomach type let me warn up.
For the price, the service, the quality of the food and the portions you get, your getting a good deal here I’d say. The bar has been set fairly high as to what I now come to expect in my BBQ in or around Bremerton thanks to McCloud’s.
PS…They also have a 72oz steak challenge listed on a whiteboard as you enter. Finish it with a 2lb potato and a side of veggies in 60 mins or less and your get it free plus t shirt and picture on wall of fame. Not sure if its been done yet or not.
