Gorst Gas Mart

I went in today with a flat tire and was greeted by a very friendly cashier, she was very helpful and I appreciate the Very awesome customer service!

Being an employee I am bias. I truly love the store, my boss, my coworkers and my regulars. We have our issues I am willing to admit. As an employee I have been cussed out. I have had things thrown at me. Still, it is my pleasure to work here. I was a customer long before I was hired. For a convenience store we have little to no employee turnover. I think that alone says a lot.

Was pist at first cuz I couldn’t pump gas with my EBT. But then on my way in to complain I picked up a big rice Krispy treat and they gave me one of the smaller Krispy treats for free on the EBT. Score for me even though I took all my change out my ashtray for gas :(

It’s strange to think of Gorst as a town, and not as that small section of road in between Bremerton and Port Orchard. You’ve got all of the staple locations: the tattoo parlor, the toy’s topless strip club, and now a couple of sexpresso stands. Real classy stuff.
I feel silly even reviewing a gas station, but considering the opinion that most people in Kitsap County share of Gorst, I feel this gas station really is a rose in a pile of weeds. The times I’ve been in there, the staff were very helpful, and the place was very clean and looked very well maintained. It’s a perfect location if you’re on your way to Port Orchard or driving around to Seattle to stop in for some snacks, or for a quick fill up in your gas tank.
Bottom line, it’s very typical being surrounded by «pay for sex» establishments and tattoo parlors to follow suit and have a dirty run down gas station. However, you can tell that the owners and employees of this place really care about providing a clean and nice establishment, regardless of their surroundings, and little efforts like that deserve recognition.

UNSAFE and unsanitary
I just left this gas station and have to warn people not to go here. Their tanks and stations are in a horrible state of disrepair. The pump I used for gas did NOT have a functioning automatic shut-​off even though you could lock the pump to dispense gasoline! It’s a huge fire hazard… thank goodness I was standing near the pump. The pump also didn’t have a functioning receipt system.
Inside — well disgusting is the only word that can be used.
Also, when I went inside to get a receipt and report the pump that needed repair and a warning sign — the employee couldn’t have cared less and she was down right rude.
Go a couple miles down the road, use the Sedgwick exit and visit the Chevron or the 76 station located here. Both are functioning, clean establishments with pleasant staffs.
Update: I drove by the other day and new pumps were being installed. Go Unilocal
