Boogie at Cookie’s! Great spot for a happy hour, and a decent karaōke forum. Don’t worry about the fried food, just fill up on beer! My best friend met her fiancé here at a happy hour in 2011 :)

Never will I go back again by choice! Went to have a couple drinks with co workers after work on a comedy night and it was not good. When we go there, went to the bar and took for ever for someone to come help us, which is hard to believe because there was NOONETHERE! Anyways I was there to enjoy a beer with my co workers so I looked past it. We get our beers and we are in the back, far from the stage where the comedians were going to do their act. These comedians had some decent lines but were not that great, the only people cheering for them were the friends they had brought, which were the only other people in the bar besides us. So to continue on, the waitress had come to inform us that my co workers and I were talking to loud and had asked us to try and keep it down for the comedians. REALLY??? we are in the back talking at normal inside voices! It was ridiculous! Food was all fried foods, which is typical for a sports pub but the foods just had awful presentation! I honestly do not know how this bar is still a above water. Service was meh and the food was not good! Your probably wondering why I give it a 2 star rating and its only because I got a free elysian glass with the purchase of the elysian beer on tap. At least I got something to take home from this place haha

If there was a lower rating I would rate it such. I was treated to an incredibly rude dj, who said f you to my girl after her song. The rudeness continued with mean looking stares, then yelling at me about rules that were never present anywhere in the bar. Only to be told I broke a rule afterwards then told I couldnt sing anymore. Was told I brought a drink on stage but I had multiple notice I had my drink yards away on a table during my song. When I went to ask her why I was kicked off the mic for good I was greeted with her yelling and tell me to get the hell off her stage before I got a word out. That is one part of the issue. Second part is a bartender who had trouble making any drinks without asking me how to make it… thats if she was anywhere to be found. Though I found her spending plenty of time chatting and flirting with some guy. Wouldnt mind her flirting with some guy but please be behind the table and dont make your customers wait insane amount of time to even notice them waiting at the table for drinks. Completely unprofessional. On to reason 3, placement. Ok the pool table at cookie’s was horrid. It was placed right next to a bathroom that reeked like terrible pee. If you have a nose then you’d either deal with it or not play. They placed a pitcher of water right next to the bathroom door… if you ever had open water in the fridge it tends to take on the taste of some smells… gross and unsanitary. 4: some of the people who are regulars there. Seems like a lot of mean people or creeps. Multiple times I had to tell guys off who knew my gf and i were together. Black guys who were talking crap about«white people dancing» actually I am half asian though I find that incredibly racist to constantly mock our dancing because the color of my skin. Talked to some guy there who told me he smokes meth and its fine because he is a responsible user and isnt addicted… wow. 5: addressing these to their facebook page got me one fan defense saying she doesn’t believe me and then the owner or possibly bartender stating that I am a liar and that they give good service… who rates themselves without sounding full of yourself. High prices and only good thing are the comedians who do stand up. Not the bar. Avoid this place.

What can I say, we all love Cookie’s. They aren’t prefect but the place is our watering hole. They have gotten a lot busier lately though. Good luck finding a place on a weekend nowadays. I’m glad for their business but a small part of me misses the good old days when you kinda always had the place to yourself. Prices aren’t great but not awful. The tacos on thurs are a hell of a deal(3 for $ 2) and karaōke 7 nights a week is superb!

I went here for my friends birthday party and granted it was a Tuesday night, I was still extremely disappointed. Any group of friends can go somewhere and have a good time. So yes we had fun. But they had a bartender that was new to this bar, but she stated that she had been bartending for a long time, yet she didn’t know how to make any drinks. We either had to tell her or order a different drink. Aside from the bars crappy layout and no food service, we were told we couldn’t go outside to smoke, and I went to my car to plug my phone in and got questioned as to why I went to my car. Very unprofessional and rude. I have no intentions on ever going back.

I started coming here for the comedy nights. Now let me start by saying that this lonely one star is for the bar NOT the comedians, which for the most part were hilarious!!! As for the bar, not so much! The last time I went was for the finale comedy show and the bar was pretty full, but the servers were all confused and just roamed the bar as if they didn’t really know what was going on. At one point we had three servers! It became very annoying to explain to each one that we had already ordered with the pervious server! For the amount of people there were in the bar, I am a bit confused as to why they just didn’t each take a their own section. Instead, it was like they were all competing against each other, in this big free for all for bar customers and tips. Of course this only backfired and lead to awful service! My husband asked for a menu, which sever #1 forgot completely all about, so he decided it was for the best and didn’t order any food. Our friend ordered a shot of Fireball Whiskey and she brought him a beer, not quite sure how she was able to get those confused??? Bottom line here is, if they are going to charge a cover to get in, comedy show or not, they had better have at least decent customer service, which in this case they were seriously lacking!!!

This review is wayyyy over due! The lovely and wonderful people at this establishment helped me to throw a surprise party for my boyfriend! Let allowed me to not only store a cake in their freezer, but when I ran out of time and couldn’t decorate, they did it for me! Seriously, the most pleasant people you could ask for :)

The bartender didn’t know how to make any drinks! We tried to order a margarita then a whiskey sour. She didn’t know how to make either. Instead she made us their«special». That was vodka and kool-aid with a bunch of fancy garnishes. It’s ok if you just wanna cheap place to hang at and play pool, but it’s not much more than that.

At heart I’m a dive bar kind of guy. So when my friend Shawn suggested one that I had never been to we promptly left the bar we were at and headed here. I’ve driven by here a million times but I’ve never stopped in. It seemed like your normal sports bar. A few TVs, some Kareoke setup, and a internet jukebox. The bartender behind the bar was one of those«don’t take shit from no one» Detroit types who I love. So after throwing back some Irish Death and purchasing my now beloved Irish Death hoodie. I ended up having a pretty good time here. It’s got a huge smoking area outside(though the view isn’t really much from there) and some decent beers to enjoy. I managed to slur my way through The Strokes 12:51 for some Kareoke as well. Good times for me. I’ll be popping by from time to time.

We stopped by on a Thursday night and only three cars in the parking lot one of them was the bartenders and the other ours. We had a beer. Menu was bar appetizers and noted nothing exceptional. Bartender more interested in TV than us so we left and went to the National.
