This place is in my neighborhood, so last night I thought I’ d give it another try I was hoping perhaps they’d stepped up their game, but my chicken burger was tasteless, the bun soggy, and it contained a bristle from a brush. I told my waitress, who was very nice. She apologized, took the bristle, and returned to my table with an apology from the kitchen. Now, I know this sort of thing happens, and it wasn’t intentional, but when something like this occurs, you make it right by offering a free drink, or a free desert, or better yet, not charging me for the burger. But there was no such offer. I have had similar experiences here. I want so much to like this place but he only good thing about the boat shed is the deck on a nice summer afternoon or evening. Thats it.

My belly is always happy happy when leaving the boathouse. You cannot go wrong with any of the seafood selections. I personally love the clam chowder, the seafood linguine and the halibut. You will not find anything on par with those three here in Kitsap. Great for lunch or dinner. For dinner there is mood lighting to give you that date night feel. The drinks(alcoholic) are always strong and on point. I have gotten so used to watered down drinks that when I sipped my hard cider I was not ready for such a kickin’ drink. Whew! Also, the spiced hard cider is yummy. The service ranges from good to spectacular-did we just become family? The parking can be tricky. But it’s worth the hassle. I never drive down to the bottom directly in front of the restaurant because if there’s no parking then it’s a real pill to back up. Try parking up top and walk down(there’s stairs.) Easy Peasy. Definitely give this place a try. The gem of Manette.

Went on a Thursday afternoon during happy hour. The staff is very nice and the place looks/feels nice(right on the water, the bar area where we sat had a cozy feel to it). But the menu was just OK. Although we intended to order from the happy hour menu, there was nothing on that menu that appealed. So instead we ordered from the regular dinner menu, and even that was just all right. It’s not that the food is bad, but it’s just OK. I ordered the seafood linguine and my date ordered the halibut & chips. The halibut in his dish was great but there were only two pieces of fish(for, I believe it was, $ 18). My linguine had plenty of seafood, which is key of course, but the sauce was just so-so – also for $ 18. I would have expected the food to be more impressive for a seafood place on the water like this. We might come back but it will likely be mainly for their summer«Yappy Hour» where you can bring your dog to the deck area.

I can enjoy dinner at the boat shed no matter what season it is. Summer deck dinners are the best, and cozy winter meals overlooking the water is also relaxing. Parking and getting to their restaurant can be a small journey if they are busy, but it’s worth it. And their food… Yum. A few menu items that keep me coming back(besides their convenient location) are steamed clams, stuffed mushrooms, chowder, complementary fresh bread, nachos, and their clam linguine. Their goes my waistline. Word of caution for the ladies… The women’s bathroom hot water nearly scalded me. Allow cold water to balance out the temperature of the hot water. This happened to me at dinner tonight and my hand is still a little red(4 hours later).

If you come here during good weather, it’s worth sitting out on the deck or by the windows. The view is just wonderful then. We haven’t had to wait for a seat ever. Menu is standard with seasonal options, pricing is about what I would expect to pay for a place like this and the drinks offerings are plentiful. All in all a nice choice for a date night [that can still be casual.] I’ve gone to the bar with some fellow students on a different occasion and had a good experience as well. Their service was good, not bad nor outstanding. Because I have not had a bad experience here, I will visit again if the opportunity arises, definitely.

Go for happy hour or brunch with an amazing view, a tasty menu, and great cocktails. The beer taps and wine are selective and pair well with the food. It would be nice if there were more brunch options. Crab Benedict? Weekly brunch specials?

I love the seafood linguini at the Boat Shed. It is my go to restaurant when I am looking for a night out or an afternoon lunch while shopping with the ladies.

I went for the first time last night. Happy hour is from 4 – 6 and 9 to close and I recommend going for it! All appetizers are half off and beer and wine are all a dollar off. I ordered a flatbread and since it was happy hour is was only 6 bucks! I feel like it’s one of the better deals for happy hour in the area! The spinach and artichoke dip was delicious. I would like to go back again!

I love the Boat Shed, especially in the summertime. They have the best black/bleu salad in all of Kitsap County. Kitsap card gives 20% off total bill. Only downfall is parking, its a pain. Amazing view — year round. Great service. Amazing food.

We took my parents out for my mom’s birthday, and made a reservation, this time. We got there a few minutes early and were immediately seated. The table(different from last time) was still sticky. Not sure if it was due to the varnish wearing down or uncleanliness. Employees still wear leggings, but I guess I’ll just have to get used to that. It’s not the worst thing in the world, considering it’s a relaxed environment — just something I don’t expect at a restaurant. If I were to make one suggestion, it would be some type of uniform top. Some of the employees were wearing orange Boat Shed t-shirts, but others were in street clothes. I thought the t-shirts made it easier to identify that they worked there. Others could have passed as guests. I got the arctic cod and chips, this time, and ordered double cajun. I will admit, it was actually pretty spicy. It won’t burn your mouth, but it definitely had a respectable kick. One of the other guests ordered the smoked salmon linguini, which was really good. Their clam chowder is a must, if it’s your first time. Or anytime, for that matter. Love the chowder! After a beer, chowder, a couple pieces of bread, and my fish and chips(well, most of the chips), I left uncomfortably full. This is definitely a lot closer to the Boat Shed that I remember.

I had a lovely snack at the boat shed this last Sunday. Everything is usually great! The only thing I’m frustrated with is the painfully slow, forgetful service. Every time I go for lunch or dinner I can expect an extreme wait. Annoying! The food is great but not worth an hour wait when you’re hungry.

We visited friends in Silverdale and they took us to the Boat Shed. I was a bit skeptical that the quality of the seafood was going to be subpar, since we are from Seattle. But I was surprised that it was quite good. We had the Manila clams to start and it was a bit salty but was offset with the fresh sourdough bread. My wife and I had the seafood linguine and the cod fish and chips. Both were good and not too salty or overseasoned, so you can tell the seafood wasn’t frozen. Each entrée was around 18 $ and decent sized portions. The service was also spot on and the view of the bay and naval shipyard provided great views and ambience to compliment the food. So, if you are ever in Bremerton, and have a hankering for seafood this is a great spot.

Went to the Boat Shed after a recommendation for a shop owner in Port Orchard. The food here was fantastic, the service was sub par and the parking was HORRIBLE which is why I’m only giving it three stars. I had the Smoked Salmon Linguini which was fantastic! The sauce was Delish and the salmon add the perfect amount of saltiness to the dish! My mom had he tiger prawns which were also great! Cooked perfectly with a side of rice and asparagus. The service on the other hand was sub par. We never received bread at our table we had to ask for it three times before it was brought. Our waitress filled our drinks once and never came back and then dropped off our check and never came back to pick it up. Someone else came over to pick it up finally after U.S. Sitting there for about 7 – 8 minutes. Last the parking here is horrendous DONOT drive all the way down to the restaurant the parking is very limited and its soooo hard to get out of! The parking up at the top is ok but also very tight and very limited. I had my daughter with me(5 months) old and thankfully I brought my baby carrier because otherwise I would have had to carry her down a steep flight of stairs. This restaurant is not very handicapped friendly. There is no handicapped parking and if you park up top and are wheel chair bound like my grandma, you would have to push them pretty far just to get to the restaurant.

My motel recommended this place for seafood. It is on the water, which is a real plus. My server, Mareille, was just AMAZING, definitely five stars. Unfortunately, Mareille was in the position of «coming to the rescue,» as I was seated on the deck, and then ignored. She succeeded. The initial seating did not provide the Happy Hour menu, and if I hadn’t seen«Happy Hour All-Day Sunday,» I wouldn’t have known about it. House chardonnay was fine. I then had the oyster shooters completely plain. I should have known better, but I so wanted oysters. My own fault, but they were just about room temperature, which wasn’t a plus. Chowder: merely average. Neither good nor bad. A bit short on flavor, and short on clams. Mixed steamers: somehow, the mussels were perfectly cooked, while the clams were slightly tough. But just slightly, so overall, this was a successful dish. The broth was relatively tasty, with garlic, onions and maybe just a bit of fennel, and plenty of wine to give it just a bit of a bite. In general, the food is just kind of meh; when that is coupled by the pre-Mareille initial service snafus, three stars is the best I can give, even with a decent view(it’s a harbor view, nothing dramatically beautiful).

I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of service and more importantly the meal. We had lunch– Fish Tacos, Calamari, and the Crab and Shrimp Salad Sandwich. The Fish Tacos and the Calamari were so festive as well as delicious. The Crab and Shrimp Salad was so large and the fries were enticing. The stuffed mushrooms are a great alternative, as well. The beer is not expensive.

Hidden little spot right at the bottom of a bridge overlooking the water. The view from the restaurant is beautiful, as is the restaurant itself. Overall the food is decent but the portions are a bit small for what you pay for. Although for the atmosphere I’d probably try it again if in the area.

The good… –This place sits right on the water! Great view! –Nice fully stocked bar. –Great service in the lounge area, water was refilled, bill was split, food was fast. It wasn’t too busy but nonetheless they did a great job. The mediocre… I would say the food here is average. I had the fish tacos which were reasonably priced at $ 16 with avocados added. They put the cheese at the bottom and so half the taco was cold while the top half was warm. Also the cod could have used a little more seasoning. All in all though, it was a pretty good dish. My coworker ordered the steak salad however, and it was Cooked medium rare as he requested. The gave a generous portion, and he said it was selfish.
