This place is AMAZING! They may not always have everything you got last time in stock, but not to avail. You WILL find something better. It’s run by a husband and his wife and they’re just great. My first time venturing to the store, they sat me down and asked me to have tea with them. Since then, I stop in sometimes just for the oolong and chit chat. They’re super wise and I’ve learned so much randomly about the world from them.

Everyone should go to this place whether you’re a meat eater/vegetarian. bought the frozen ‘chicken’ kabob, it was tender and very flavorful, my bf thought that it was real meat. :) the owner was very helpful and we had a 20min conversation about how much toxins are in the food we eat then on to determining my bodies alkaline level, it was great. the only thing is that it can get a bit pricey for a college student, and since it’s not a grocery store it does not have a lot of things that i need. but this place is definitely great for veggie meats, i’ll be back.

It’s a bit out of the way for me to come on a regular basis and aside from the frozen entrees from Happy Family, I’m sure you can find what you’re looking for at your local Whole Foods. It may be slightly more expensive, but unless you live in Brea or the environs you’re just gonna be spending money on gas. The store is very tiny, but lots of interesting stuff. I got a few of the frozen entrees, one from Veggie Land and the others from Happy Family. I also found Dandies Vegan Marshmallows for $ 4.99($ 5.69 at Whole Foods). The Sweet and Sour Pork bento was delicious! The Kung Pao Chicken bento was ok. Happy Family has a location in Costa Mesa so I’m hoping to drop by the actual restaurant soon. The lady helping me was very friendly. She gave me a free tea sample while she rang me up. Credit cards are ok with a min. purchase of $ 5.

Dear Veggie Land, when you say you open at 1 on Sundays, can you please open at 1 on Sundays? Other than having to sit in my car to wait for them to open, my experience was pretty great. They have a ton of mock meats at better prices than Mother’s or Whole Foods. The portions are way bigger for cooking! They also carry Dandies vegan marshmallows! I’m so happy! Ready to go lunches from Happy Family!!! Wow that’s sort of like my dream come true. I will definitely be back!

The lady that works here was very sweet and friendly, she gave us some free tea samples as we browsed the store. For being such a small building, they carry a pretty good selection of vegan grocery items and snacks, they also have harder to find vegan brand items like Daiya cheese alternative, and organic miso. They even sell beauty items, wellness drugs, and cute knicknacks like car accessories. Pretty inexpensive prices too. My friend bought a bag of edamame snacks. They recently discontinued their cooking classes until further notice, but still offer private classes for a fee.

I adore this place. They have freezers stocked with vegetarian/vegan goodness. Soy chicken, beef, shrimp, burger patties, etc. They carry these pre-packaged frozen meals made by Happy Family(veggie restaurant) that are awesome! I come here about twice a week to pick up these meals for lunch — my favorite being the orange«chicken» with brown rice and broccoli. The owners are more than happy to heat these meals up for you, too. Speaking of the owners, they are a very kind couple. Every time I come in, they offer me a cup of hot herbal tea or some snack that they carry in the store. Aside from the frozen goodies, they carry vegan desserts(try Lovely Liz’s cowboy cookies… yum!), soy jerky, spices, sauces, teas, vegan marshmellows, vitamins, and even natural makeup.

This place has a great selection of frozen vegetarian and vegan substitutes. The owner’s husband was very nice, helpful, and not pushy in suggesting items. They also sell some other canned items and asian vegetarian canned meats. The pricing is a average compared to grocery store frozen substitutes. I was expecting fresh items and things like textured soy protein, but did not see them. The owner also offered me some team, which was good, but I had a lot of tea at home so I didn’t buy it.

I Love this place!!! they have a great selection of packaged and frozen vegan and vegetarian foods. They also offer Veggie/vegan cooking classes which are awesome. They are a little pricey but the products they carry seem to be imported and would be hard to find elsewhere.

Super friendly employees. They offer a wide selection of packaged and frozen vegan and vegetarian foods that you can’t find at your local Sprouts or Trader Joe’s-type of establishments. They also have beauty, kitchen, and cleaning products that are eco-friendly. Check out the $ 5 cooking classes!

Wonderful little vegan/vegetarian grocery store run by a husband and wife. What I love about this store is that they offer $ 5 vegan cooking classes every Sunday!!! The prices are a bit high compared to other grocery stores but I’m assuming because vegan food is scare to find thus the prices should match its value. Check them out!
