I came to this location to use their free WiFi. I order my tea and took a seat. I then took about 15 – 20 minutes to try and connect to their wifi, even when I did finally connect it kept kicking me off. Very frustrating. I should have just gone to Starbucks instead of waking my time and money at this place.

Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf is definitely upscale and its interior is decorated with wood grain wall treatments, leather seating and specialized coffee offerings(see photos). Must admit I was looking for a place doing special cappuccino designs with foam using cinnamon or mocha for décor. Not found here; however the coffee was excellent and their Café Americano came with three shots of espresso. Service was fast and despite my questions and responses of no, no and no it turned out to be an above average visit. Most important find was custom Viennese Blend Dark Roast Keurig cups —for use in machine— for one perfect cup of Mélange-like coffee at a time. Who knew CBTL was a gourmet coffee cups purveyor, wow! Location has a nice storefront(yet I thought perhaps the old newspaper stands had no place there as they were empty). Are these in use? This location offers a serene environment for studying, meeting or playing table games(quietly). Spanish architecture dominates this little plaza and you can find CBTL on the south side of Jamba Juice. Servers were kind, efficient and helpful. I will be back to investigate further. Thanks CBTL.

I always visit this place for my business meetings. Atmosphere is GREAT, and also not crowded at all. Plus, they always make my tea latte perfectly! Will be back to visit soon :)

This was probably one of the best Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf’s I have ever been to. My friends and I came in to study and so the first thing we did was find a place to sit. We sat down by the window and the worker asked us if we wanted any ice water; very kind of him. We then went and got some drinks, and the same worker took our orders, was accommodating, and was very patient while we decided on what to order. Later while we were studying, the sun started glaring through the windows and he came over and offered to put the screens down to block the sun. Great service and extremely friendly!

This is one of my favorite places to stop by for coffee in the morning. I love how they have organic coffee brewing and usually the line is pretty short. The staff there are really nice,(a big shout out to Bri for always being awesome), but I wish the food selection was better.

Customer service needs some improvement. I come hear twice a week and get iced coffees, I always go through the drive thru and use a gift card. One night, the cashier tells me they don’t accept them. I was confused, as it’s how I always pay(and have with this very cashier) and he seemed puzzled and told me he didn’t know who had been accepting it, but they weren’t supposed to. I had to pay with cash, which was frustrating because I literally never have any on me and had to dig for change in my wallet and glove department. The cashier seemed irritated overall. I came back the next day, and what do you know– they accepted my gift card. Coffee is always on point, but there needs to be some training regarding proper protocol and procedures.

First, there’s Disneyland then there’s Brea Coffee Bean. Just about the friendliest place on earth. For 6 years I have been going to this Coffee Bean and usually early in the morning pre-my drive to work. Where Bri and/or Tim are always cheerful with a well voiced and rounded«Good Morning!» as you enter.(This is not a shout-out… whatever that is…) Where people come and go at places like this, I can say that I have actually made friends with the staff. It’s a morning wake-up no matter how **#$%^&*! your morning might be. You leave here a little better then when you entered. I’m not a pastry nor a pre-packaged egg white, smoked salmon, sprout, organic bread, sandwich person… but, I can say that my coffee drink is made the way I want it every morning. Former Manager Kelly…(now regional manager, exec, something or other) you did a great job and Tim is turning this establishment into his store. Worth a try, I’m sure you’ll be happy. A nice change from the standardized coffee behemoth… and most of all you are greeted with respect and confidence you’ll be back.

Best vanilla ice blended, sits right between Subway and Jamba Juice. I’ve been here a couple times before, cute little shop with a good amount of seating, or you can sit outside on the patio and watch the cars zoom by on Imperial Highway. You can chill as long as you want with nobody to bother you, 5 stars!

Coffee was great, but the staff member Katia looked miserable as hell. Overworked much?

I come here often to sit and do homework. The coffee is delicious of course, but what I appreciate most is the friendly staff. They are always smiling and always helpful when I’m am being indecisive. :) Side note: cookie butter latte is crazy good!

I’ve come to this location a few times and usually I have the best service. Today, I ordered an iced green tea latte in which I meant to order a hot green tea latte. Mixing up the drinks was completely my fault. I told the Barista that I meant for it to be hot and I apologized to him. He didn’t say anything and remade the drink. And when it was done he slammed it down and kept continuously working without even letting me know that the drink was finished. I’ve worked in customer service for over 10 years including working at Jamba Juice so I know it gets quite frustrating when people want us to remake their drinks. But I wasn’t mean about it. You have to think about it this way if your paying money for a drink would you rather drink something you want? Or something you don’t care for? He could’ve been a lot nicer. The girls at the register were awesome! Unfortunately I will be driving to the harbor location which is further from my house. I don’t like people with attitudes in the morning especially before I’ve gotten my morning tea. If you can’t work with customers maybe this job isn’t right for you? And if you see my other review for coffee bean it’s a lot nicer with a better rating. But it was also a different location =\

Fantastic service though the line at the drive thru did take awhile. My blended black forest was fantastic, blended perfectly. Coffee Bean is by far my favorite chain to get coffee at, there is something about their ice that makes the drinks that much better, especially blended. Prices are fair and the quality great, I’ll be back!

I have stopped by every morning for the past couple of weeks and the only reason for returning is the super friendly staff. They get your drink right away which is great if you’re short on time. I love their pecan scones, so good! I definitely love coming here for my coffee, rather than other places(starbucks) *cough*

Came looking for something sugar free, but with a miscommunication I ended up with something«no sugar added» when I explained the issue Justin immediately made me a new surprise drink that is absolutely delicious and sugar free. Good customer service and tasty sugar free drinks. Exactly what I need to give a coffee shop 5 stars. Update: I accidentally left what I didn’t finish on the top of my car when I checked my oil. It didn’t mean I didn’t enjoy it. Apologies for the mess in the parking lot guys!

This location, in particular, is my favorite one. There’s A LOT of space and seats/tables compared to other Coffee Beans, and everyone here is busy studying/reading/working. There’s also a lot of outlets for those who need to work on laptops. Every time I need to do some hardcore studying or work, this is place I go to. The coffee here is your usual Coffee Bean coffee… which is freakin’ BOMB. The only gripe I have about this location is that the WiFi can get slow at times, and the A/C can go buckwild when you least expect it, so make sure you bring a jacket if you plan on studying here.

Location: good Drinks: good Staff: good Seating: poor Typical CBTL with great drinks and plenty of parking. The location is small, not much seating. Tables are old and sticky. Outside seating faces a major street so very loud. Great for a pick up and go, but not really a great place to stay awhile.

They do not have fair trade coffee. So when I ask you if you do and you reply«I think» then I ask«do you know or do you think?» And you ask your manager and she says«Uhhhhh yeah we are fair trade» and I have to google it and you in fact don’t have fair trade coffee, that’s not good! Be aware and knowledgeable before giving out incorrect answers. What a waste of an Americano I just threw out. I will not be back!

An intelligent, friendly staff and the coffee is excellent. I used to avoid this place because the fresh coffee always had an odd after taste. Now it’s as good or better than my home-brewed. Although I gave the pleasant décor a 3, many of the tables are wobbly. So please corporate — are you hearing this? Please do something about the tables…
