This place had ok sushi, I wasn’t impressed and to be honest — it was a little overpriced. You might as well go to an all you can eat. I’ll give them that the Sashimi is actually worth the price and comes in pretty big slices — I recommend the Yellowtail Hamachi.

Great happy hour menu! My friend and I went to 24 hour fitness in the same plaza and came here afterwards since it was still early enough to order from the happy hour menu. We ordered a spicy tuna salad($ 6.95), an asparagus salmon garlic roll($ 7.95), and a rose roll($ 7.95). Everything was really good but my favorite would have to be the asparagus salmon roll. It was crunchy and tangy from the sauce and I really enjoyed it!

I went to this place with my classmate today. I always love this place, nice service, hard workers, good managers and fresh food. Specifically food is so delicious~ I had fresh sashimi and seafood pasta I will definitely come back soon.

Food is ok, my cut tuna roll was warm which was a little disconcerting but the tuna tasted fresh enough. King crab roll was pretty good. My had something similar to a Poke Bowl. Nice presentation and the ingredients were fresh. Big drawback to the place is cleaning. Menus and outdoor tables were sticky to the touch and had remnants of food and sauces. Inside does not smell clean at all. Happy hour has lots of cheap food and drinks, Kabuki is great for that

No server or chef listened to me after I showed myself as a frequent eater by choosing the corner seat at sushi bar so I’ll exit quickly to my class I told sushi chef a korean and a Hispanic I ate at their other branch often and also waved my receipts and my Red mask Club card. Isn’t that sufficient communication? Guess not I returned from rest room, no sake No happy hour foods Oh well If I cannot make my loud voice and conversational English understood by sushi chefs, shall I return to this restaurant before I zoom to my 6pm class 5 minutes from this restaurant in the future? You are smart readers, be the judge. Excellent amount of California rolls topped with dynamite but other sushi restaurant took time to leave scallops in toaster and used a dish to hold it with better colors.

The sushi is pretty good, but I would have to say that the Pasadena location is much better. If they only could mach the Pasadena location’s quality. Although, the service was great! Brandon was our server and he did a great job.

This place is getting pretty expensive. Prices go up every year and yet I still bring my grandma here, just not as often. There’s no All You Can Eat option on the menu and the sushi is typical except for the Kabuki roll, which is my favorite. My grandma ordered the Miso Cod plate which seems to have a smaller portion of miso fish every time. It just seems to get smaller and smaller and the prices seem to go up $ 1 every year… We’re slowly starting to seek other eateries but come back here only on special occasions.

Many choices on the menu. The sushi is really fresh! The spicy tuna and crispy rice was the best I had compared to other places over frying it making it to crispy. The seafood paella was extremely delicious. Beef teriyaki and tempura is fantastic!

I’ve been visiting this location occasionally. The manager treat me very well with a big smile. I had a very fresh sashimi lunch today with his suggestions. How nice! I love to go there with my co workers again. ^^

Came here a few times and this time instead of getting the spicy tuna rolls I opted for the spicy miso ramen soup and it was good but I wished it was actually spicy. It was sort of flavorless although it has the red sauce but it had no spicyness whatsoever. It was my first time having the spicy ramen but the veggies in it were decent and the noodles tasted good as well. I also got the fried tempura ice cream and boy I forgot how amazing it tasted! The dough was so addicting and sweet and their vanilla ice cream was creamy and mad me wish I got seconds!

I ate here twice within 2 days– so you know it’s gotta be good. I was in the area for business and caught wind of their 3−6pm happy hour– which discounts a variety of their sushi rolls and appetizer dishes from the kitchen. I was really pleased with their full menu also-it’s the kind of restaurant I would dine at outside of happy hour. They have many traditional dishes but aren’t scared to be innovative as well, and cater to vegan and vegetarian patrons with more options than just a cucumber or avocado roll. Plus, their food was GOOD. More on that in a bit. Service was acceptable. Sometimes it took my server a little while to get back to me, but she was in charge of many tables and it was a high traffic meal hour. Tables/bathrooms clean, ambience; a nice buzz. Food came quickly and waters were filled. My favorite items on the menu that I sampled were the Alaskan roll [cali roll with salmon draped over each piece](I tried both raw and baked, I prefer raw), Rose roll(spicy tuna with tempura), and the fried chicken wing appetizer. The skin was ultra crispy and delightful. The raw fish in and on the sushi was also very flavorful and fresh, which I rarely get in the Midwest. The happy hour prices make eating here inexpensive by SoCal standards, and I would def return in the future for more happy hour dining!

It was good, but unfortunately I wasn’t too impressed. Good selection of food at a good price, but the service took a bit long and the food was lacking flavor. I visited during the OC restaurant week and for $ 15 you get a three course meal during lunch time. Whether you opted in for the special menu or just ordered off their regular menu, they have pretty good pricing and tons of options on the menu. Lunch seemed pretty slow, despite it being the OC restaurant week. We were seated almost immediately and our server took our beverage order about 10 minutes later. Lemonades have free refills. About 5 minutes later our server took our order for all three courses. The nice part was we were given a small salad as a starter. The salad resembled the Benihana’s salad given as a starter. Our salad had a lot of dressing, once we finished our salad there was a small pool of dressing. It was free and good, so not a big deal. My friend ordered the Hibachi Combo rice and she really enjoyed it. It was fried rice with chicken, pork, and shrimp, pretty big portion. I ordered the pan friend gyozas. They tasted good, but were a bit oily. I should’ve ordered the rice. I don’t think they’re made at the location since they tasted very generic, nonetheless still good. We both ordered the pork ramen. The ramen had a strong peanut or nut smell. The broth itself lacked flavor, for some reason it didn’t have a strong pork flavor. The pork meat tasted amazing! Pretty big portion as well. For the amount of food, $ 15 is a great deal. For now the location is just okay in my opinion, I probably will return to try their sushi since they have a huge selection. They offer brown rice as a sushi rice alternative and they also offer gluten free soy sauce. Service did take long at times, especially to receive our starters.

I come here every once in a while to meet up with friends. This is a convenient location and typically get a pretty solid meal here. On this occasion service, although friendly was a little slow. I can tell that our server was a little overwhelmed. Started off our meal by sharing some calamari and garlic edamame. The calamari was dry and seemed to have been sitting for a while before it came to our table, the edamame was good though. For my meal, I ordered their restaurant week lunch special, which included an appetizer, ramen of your choice, and dessert. This was a very good deal for $ 15. To start ordered a pork belly bun, which was flavorful and the bun was nice and fluffy, pretty good. I also had the pork belly ramen, which was a bit bland, broth didn’t have much flavor, serving portion was large though. To finish my meal I had the green tea mochi which was presented nicely cut into 4 pieces. Overall, the meal was good, service couldve been faster though.

I went here today with my boyfriend for our date night. We are both craving Japanese. And went to try out this place. Our server Christina was awesome. She made us feel very welcomed and she checked on us if how the food came out and if we needed anything. Our food was to our expectation at least and satisfied our cravings. We ordered the sesame chicken for appetizer which was bomb. Vegas roll and lobster roll(for sushi). And we ordered beef YakiSoba. The only downside was our appetizer came with our main entrée but we didn’t wait to long till they all came out. Will definitely come back here and make this one of our go to for Japanese cravings.

Decided to give this location another chance because the manager reached out to me to try to make things better. Our server Stephanie was okay. She served us but she didn’t serve us well. Our drinks were not refilled, and we felt rushed(we get it you’re doing your side work). We already knew the food was going to be okay but we came here for the dessert. We were talking about the tempura banana the entire meal but when the time came for dessert, we were dropped off the bill and our server scurried off to continue her side work. Couldn’t even finish our beer because the server tried to scoot us out as fast as she could. We understand that your restaurant is closing soon but it wasn’t going to close for another 30 minutes. Thank you Stephanie for reminding us how terrible this location is.

Lydia was so sweet. We came in for happy hour(3−6pm). Ordered Spicy Tuna Crunch Roll, Philadelphia Roll, Alaskan Roll, and Baked Mussels– came out to be about $ 30 with tip. Food came fast, was in and out within 30minutes(: P. S. If you have a 24 Hour Pass, you get 10% off your bill, but make sure you remind your waitress/waiter, they might forget.

Apparently they’ve just revamped their menu in the past week or so. I’ve come here a few times for happy hour and I have no complaints. Yes, it’s a chain restaurant — but their menu is pretty big, their food is pretty consistent, and their customer service is generally pretty good. I’ve been to several locations and I think this one measures up with the rest. Truth be told, I don’t come here for the sushi/hand rolls. I come here for the happy hour — the hot sake, the appetizers, and the yaki onigiri. I also dig the tempura(veggie and shrimp), it’s a pretty big portion, but I will warn you it’s oily. NOTE: Apparently there’s some kind of frequent diner card here. If you come here often enough, I think you get credit to use. PARKING: Since this restaurant is located at a shopping center, there’s lots of parking here.

The manager read my review and even spoke to me on my next visit. I have to say the service has really improved and the 10 or so to go orders I’ve placed since my last review have been spot on. They even got the ponzu sauce right! Even though tonight was crowded, our waitress was super attentive and made sure my son’s order came out first(guess she’s a mom, too). $ 1.95 draft Sapporo is a bargain and their R&D test kitchen menu has some really tasty dishes. My wife and I especially liked the asparagus roll with salmon and crunchy garlic. We subbed smoked salmon for fresh and it was a really good call! The kids meal was more than enough for my two year old with enough left overs for lunch tomorrow.
