I brought my mom to this store before her trip to Europe to update her traveling wardrobe. I have always passed by but never walked in since this store is for a specific age range.
The sales ladies here have an arrogance about them and it truly comes out when they attempt to interact with shoppers. You work on Birch street, not Rodeo… and you more than likely make minimum wage so drop that chip off your shoulder and give offer some proper customer service to shoppers.
To top it all off the grumpy cashier did not smile, did not ask how we were doing. However, she did ask for my ID… because I used my Debit card… really? If the customer knows the Pin, then why ask for it (I had shopped a few minutes earlier at the Loft and Cost Plus and no ID requested).
One thing I learned from this experience is that lack of customer service has nothing to do with Generation Z /​Millennials (as I once thought) it simply has to do with expectations the hiring manager sets forth.
Do yourself a favor and skip it all together if you don’t want to walk out scratching your head and wondering why you didn’t deserve decent service… there are other shopping options on Birch street.

Ok for some shoppers but do not try to return at the store. Not helpful. Manager says” They do not accept returns from catalog or online purchases, but she will do this once” Man I am already at a disadvantage. Down hill from there. However… j. jill’s website states just the opposite re– returns. Plus I was charged for return shipping when clearly I should not have not paid. I have had issues like this in the past with returns. Also… best if you do not use j. jill credit card. Use your visa instead. Enough said. Will not be going back.

Casual elegance for misses
I am an online shopper for petite size. Today, I came to check it out if the sweater online would work for me, besides I was also interested in the new arrivals.
There were two sale associates for two customers this early morning., one associate was extremely helpful, one was simply having a stone face.
I liked the sweater, but this store doesn’t carry petite size!
Disappointed!
