I used the Five Guys app to pre-order my meal and my food was ready and hot when I arrived. My shake was in the process of being made, which was nice because it was very thick and creamy.

I came here to get fries and found out peanut oil is used to fry them. I wish there was another alternative. I’m allergic to peanuts. I guess I’ll never know how delicious their fries are

I read a lot of the other reviews here, and while my first request is for proofreading, my second is lighten up! I got a cheeseburger(for those of you who have never been here, that translates to a double cheeseburger) and fries. It came in about 7 or 8 minutes, and they brought it to my table. The woman who took my order was very nice, and she was also the one who brought me my food. The burger was pretty good size and tasted good. They made it just the way I asked. The fries were crispy and the cup they come in was overflowing! I think I was their first customer of the day, so everything was very clean. My only complaint is the price: over $ 15.00 for a burger, fries, and a soda. I would try this place again, but only as a treat to myself.

This restaurant is tucked away at the corner of a very busy shopping complex. We drive by this restaurant every time we visit Brea mall. Every time we pass this by, I tell myself we will stop here during our return. However we are too tired after walking couple of miles with Ian at the mall and end up getting something at the Mall’s food court. Order your burger, choose your toppings and sauce. Wait for your number, and munch away at the delicious burger :-) Mrs’s burger with tax came to $ 4.96 Pros: Lot more toppings than In & Out. All the toppings are free.(+1) Complimentary peanuts(+1) Cons: Minimum price of a burger is twice that of an In & Out burger?(–1) Coke machine. One of these days I will get used to it :-)

Lots of people say that this is the place to eat for great burgers… That is just not true! The burgers are ok just ok nothing special. The burgers are way! overpriced for an average burger. I just don’t see why everyone says this is the best burger place in the history of the world.

I have been told five guys is the place to eat and figured I would try it out. First a medium soda and a double cheese burger came out to $ 12.08. NOTHANKS 2nd, after opening what is supposed to be the holy grail of burgers I was met with a burger that could not even melt it’s own cheese… and it was INTINFOIL… melty cheese in paper wrap can happen at carls jr for .99 cents. 3rd. the place was dead empty, I should have just turned away and left but I couldn’t find a single clean table. Granted that as soon as I chose my table the dinning room busser came right over and started sweeping peanut shells all around me and screeching chairs… next to… me… He has the whole dining room to clean… but yah… I’d start with the table next to the only sitting customer… Not one aspect of this experience was relaxing or enjoyable. The guy who took my order was very friendly and seemed to desire serving a paying customer but the rest of the place was a total miss.

This review is solely for the service. It took me an hour to get my food. It wasn’t in the middle of a rush, either. I ordered 2 burgers, large fries and a shake. They made and gave me the shake 5 minutes after ordering. After 10 minutes of not getting my food and my shake melting, I asked if they could put my shake in the freezer until my food was ready. They couldn’t due to health codes(understandable). Long story short, I left with food and a melted shake after waiting an HOUR for my food. The food, like always, is delicious. Service is terrible.

I had the 5 Guys Bacon Cheeseburger. This was my second time visiting a #5guys. Good burger; $ 8 though so I expected it to be a good burger. Lettuce, tomatoe, shrooms, jalapeño peppers, bbq sauce, pickle. I’d give the burger 4 stars. The fries were disappointing though — not the quantity, the crispness and lack of the promised cajun flavoring advertised on the wall next to me. 2.5 stars. About $ 14 total, no soft drink. 3 stars overall.

Came here for the first time a couple weeks ago and wow, their food is really filling! Some pros: quality food, nice employees, free peanuts(yes, you can just scoop up some from the box in the front and enjoy yourself), and definitely a 60’s restaurant feel with the red tables and chairs and checkered floor! Some cons: long lines during lunch hour(but worth the wait), not very clean(a con to the free peanuts– peanut shells EVERYWHERE), and usually the tables are full when it’s busy hour. Therefore, if you are impatient and need a clean environment to enjoy your food, this may not be the place for you. But if you are willing to wait the wait and clean up after others, this would be a great place for you to have a great filling meal!

Overprice, nothing to write home about. The fries was soggy and soft. The hamburger bun was cold and bland. The soft drink lack carbonation. In and out burger is much with a better price. A hamburger is $ 7.50 without fries or drinks. I’m not going to come back. Only good thing was free shelled peanuts.

Came in for lunch and while I appreciate the enthusiasm of «happy» employees I’m pretty sure your male employee working today was high and no I’m not kidding. Ive never come in and had to yell for the cashier to hear me over her co-worker’s loud outbursts every second. If I had wanted to feel like I was at some obnoxious sports event I would have bought tickets. There’s a difference between enthusiasm and down right manic behavior. I’m all for team spirit and fun in the work place, but you still have a job to do and a certain amount of professionalism to maintain. Pretty sure you want the customers to come in and buy not walk out. The 3 stars is for the food still being good. Hope you can improve for the future. *only meant to post this once sorry for the duplicate*

I was not impressed with the experience! I felt that it was overpriced and not worth what I paid. Yes, the burger was large and there were lots of fries, but paying almost $ 14 for burger, fries and a drink seemed like too much! Kudos to the chain for trying to bump up the burger game in many ways, but it’s not worth the price to me. Pros: Topping options are great I like that it is freshly cooked Bag of fries is huge The«fancy» Coke machine with a bunch of flavor combos is a nice touch Cons: Staff not particularly friendly Menu doesn’t clearly state the large burger is a «double patty»…if I would’ve known that, I’d have ordered the small burger. Price! I could’ve eaten at a Habit and paid half the price for a burger combo that I enjoyed more.

Every time I come here the food is great. Most especially their Cajun Fries! Their music and singing makes it a welcoming atmosphere to come to. Wish they had karaōke. These employees work well together. Thanks for not rushing me when I visit late. Yum peanuts too!

My family and I ate dinner here. These were some of the most unflavored, small, and card board thick burgers I have ever had. There was no flavor to the meat, and they were fatty beyond belief. I have severe gluten allergy and they said they can wrap my burger in lettuce. All I had were two small pieces of lettuce and one tomato. And did I mention how these burgers are 2 – 3 times more expensive than In N’ Out? CostCo burgers taste better. Would not recommend unless everything else was closed!

Tried this spot yesterday for the first time and well lots of pros! Pros: Place was pretty empty came around 7ish Staff was friendly and up beat Food was yummy! Soda dispenser is cool and easy Ketchup packets are out for grab Aren’t stingy with the soggy yummy fries Cons: Not a fan of the peanuts thing Floor could use a good sweep especially being pretty dead in there. Not a fan of using foil to wrap my burger just a preference Plain brown paper bag. meh kinda tacky Price is a little high but definitely not a $ 1 menu burger which is understandable for the price. Overall a fan! Wish they had a drive thru though but maybe it’s best they didn’t cuz I’d be here a lot more often lol :)

Burgers were very good, fries decent. I took some fries home and by the time I got there, the paper bag looked like it was dipped in water. But eh, it’s deep fried stuff but interesting never the less. Only real complaint is the price. Double burger, fries and drink ran me $ 12+. I can get just as good burger and better fries at in and out for half.

Why you gotta hate? There’s a lot of hate and questionable reviews for this place. If you don’t like the food that’s one thing, but rating it lower because it’s not in-n-out is stupid. You have to rate a place based on your experience there, not on how much you like another burger place. Five guys is not my favorite burger place, but they do make a pretty delicious burger. A bacon cheeseburger and order of fries is damn filling here. It’s one of the few places where sometimes I can’t finish the burger. But I power through best I can because the bacon here is pretty amazing and I don’t want to waste any. The fries are pretty good too — and they always seem hot and fresh. Come to think of it, I can’t think of a time when the fries weren’t hot when I got them. And not heating lamp hot, right out of the fryer hot. I have never done the hot dogs, but I have been tempted to. Next time, I might take that risk but when I come here the burger is too tempting. If you’re looking for a burger that is a high-quality quick-serve burger and you want something different than in-n-out or the habit, five guys is a good place to try. Their burger has a unique distinct five guys flavor. Try it it– even if you like in-n-out, it’s not a crime.

1. You don’t hear people in the East Coast say, «Oh hell, I miss Five Guys!» or if they were to get off the airplane, they don’t say Take me to five guys NOWWWWWWW… However, anyone from Killa Cali… Especially my ass… When we land from LAX, we hit North on Sepulveda and get a double double before calling Mama~!!! Yeah so a burger place is hard to infiltrate the Cali Market… 2. Five Guys is Larry & Steve… In & Out is the Simpsons or South Park. this is just my opinions. have a nice day.
