Alisa Bette – Make-up Artist

I am cosmetically challenged. I wear very little make-​up because I have been applying my make-​up the same way since high school. Now that I’m in my 30s, I need more help than just a swipe of mascara and some gloss. Alisa made me look beautiful. Very much me, but more glamorous. Even my little brother («Man of Honor» or «Bridesman» as he prefers) who is the strong, silent type said I looked beautiful. When I replied, «You’re just saying that!» He said, «No, you look like a model.» Wow! That felt great! I was feeling much better about making my entrance in front of all those rows and rows of guests.
Alisa is my best friend’s sister and always looks gorgeously put together and fresh. She is also a professional esthetician. I asked if she’d do my make-​up for my «at home» reception, and she graciously agreed. I am so grateful to her. Since the Villa has no «bride’s room» she had to work on a bench in the courtyard amidst all my nieces and nephews running around while the staff set up. Because of scheduling, we couldn’t meet before hand. But Alisa remained unruffled and went about her work as though there were no interuptions or distractions. I really appreciated her calm demeanor and ability to make good decisions about my look when I was beyond making any more.
I highly recommend Alisa’s artistry and professionalism. She is in the midst of planning her own wedding now, so I’m not sure when she will be accepting more clients. But you won’t be disappointed if you hire her.
