Roses and the River

I loved this place. It’s hard to find great bed and breakfasts that are really close to home, with out going far, and still getting scenery.
Roses on the River has it!
The place is gorgeous with a beautifully done landscape job! Flowers EVERYWHERE!
The husband/​wife innkeepers are very nice and welcoming.
The place was very clean and country.
There is a really neat fairway in the backyard where we were able to do some fishing. The fairway is where the fresh water and gulf water meet.
Fishing was cool, and I don’t know if it was because of the water mix, we caught very interesting, looking fish.
The back was gorgeous. We were told that they hold weddings there.
NOTE: they do have an indoor dog and a few out door cats
Breakfast was great. Not just eggs and toast. We had cheese blintz’s and fruit and some sort of quiche. Yum.

They charge 150 a night… but it’s really worth it.
