Been attending for 30 years. Yesterday we attended. Waited 1 hr 20 minutes to get parked. One lane in. People honking horns… Met rather of Nazi Brawley cop. Parking ticket attendant had 7 min talk w her friend about no tickets available. We drove in from Santee early for fun parade. Only to be stuck in line and 22 min’s late for rodeo show! Whoever is planning this event needs a news plan for next year! Really CC! Planning since 1957?

This Rodeo is kinda in a funny location it’s a residential neighborhood and then BAM you reach this field and where everyone parks there cars. The Rodeo has concrete seat and the have a lot of beer stand, kettle corn, beef jerky, burrito they have tons of good food. They have something what is called mutten busting and it’s wear all the little kids ride sheep as long as they can. It’s so funny and cute. The little boys and girl hold on to the little sheep and they run around. We always like to dress up like cowboys for the Rodeo. It’s a little far from the house but if your in the area it’s worth checking out.

the park surrounding the rodeo is great, one mile running, biking, walking loop; nicely landscaped, lit at night so you can exercise after dark, beautiful view of the sunset with a number of tall palm trees

this was the first rodeo i ever attended so my comments are kind of limited, that said, this is the best rodeo in the world. easy drive from san diego but buy tickets in advance, this sells out! we had a nice chat with a couple while eating our homemade chili, the woman was a barrel racer and the guy was a bronc-rider, both were really nice and explained to us about the rodeo circuit and what they do — there is a cattle call«queen» and«princess» both of whom we thought would be pageant-y and walk out on gowns and wave to the folks — little did we know that they would come tearing out of a gate and demonstrate their insane riding abilities. one of the best parts of cattle call besides the proximity to san diego and the unique opportunity to experience a pretty unique culture is that it is a total family affair — there’s good food, a chili cook-off and contest related to the cattle call and the entire community is into it. we can’t wait until 2008
