I went here last Wednesday and I cannot stop thinking about how awesome my food was. I’ve already spread the word to some coworkers to check it out. To start I got the recommended Earl Grey Martini. I’m not normally a martini person because I end up wearing my drink due to the classic martini glasses and me being kinda klutzy. I have to say that I am so happy that they have stemless martini glasses for people like me. I was able to enjoy my drink and not dump it on myself. It was such an interesting cocktail, a good interesting. I would totally order that again. Ps. I think Captain Picard would love this. The food here was outstanding and my favorite part. We ordered the Pan Cooked PEI Mussels and they were eaten quite quickly to say the least. The broth from the mussels was so good that we dipped our bread slices in it to soak up every bit. The other item that we ordered off the menu was the Pizza Funghi. I am a bit of a pizza snob. This pizza exceeded my expectations. I need this pizza in my life. I might change my relationship status to reflect me being in a relationship with this pizza. Lastly, I want to comment on the environment and service. Like I said, I was here on a Wednesday so I am sure it’s more quiet than a Friday or Saturday dinner hour so I can only speak to my Wednesday night experience. Anyways, It was a nice relaxing environment. I could hear myself think and I could hold a conversation with the person across from me. There was plenty of cool pieces of art to enjoy in the surroundings. The service was fast and friendly. They made sure we were comfortable and had space to put our multiple dishes. I look forward to returning here to see if the other pizzas and menu items can top my first experience.

Four years ago we discovered this place and it was worth the 75 minute drive. Tonight it was mediocre at best. The signature cocktails are great on the menu bet they lack balance and fall flat. And, although we were here to celebrate, once we finished our first, we were never offered another drink. Pizza’s were light in cheese. I know that’s typical in wood fires but these were almost missing it entirely. And when they offers us grated parm and pepper, I was supremely disappointed when they brought shaker containers! The shrimp risotto was bright and fresh and prob our favorite item this evening. I’m sad this place has failed to remain current. It used to be great.

Not impressed. Was hard to find anything on the menu that appealed to me. Very loud, uncomfortable atmosphere. Ended up with pizza, which was decent, but nothing I’d rush back for.

Great food & service! I would highly recommend coming here. Our server checked on us a number of times. I had my 8 yr old daughter with me & our server was really nice to her & made jokes. It’s definitely a family place too.

Sign says they are open until 10 on Friday nights, we were seated at 9pm and told by the hostess that we needed to order food quickly because the kitchen was about to close. The waitress brought our drinks out kind of quick but then never offered to get us a second round. The cheese pizza was mediocre. We wouldn’t go back.

This was a mediocre experience that started from the very beginning. The specialty drink for the evening was not balance and had way too much citrus. The gnocci came out like play dough covered in a sauce that was separated nd flavorless with veggies were overcooked. The salad came out without the chicken that was supposed to be on it. The pizza was quite good and is the only reason that anybody should ever consider coming to this restaurant. The waitress did ackowledge that we were not satisfied and offered to take items off the bill, but it came without that done.

A pizza joint for people who want to pretend that they aren’t eating pizza(or pasta). The menu is old(and getting older), mostly limited to pizzas and variations thereof, and starting to look very tired, especially in light of the pizza revolution now going on in Boston and elsewhere. And the overall quality is suffering, too. We’ve had to send back two pizzas in our most recent visits. Service has always been spotty here. Water cooler style conferencing or love affairs with cell phones are not uncommon amongst the waiter/tress staff.(Generally these folks seem to have a great disdain for their non-drinking customers, and it often starts at the front door.) The keywords you will find in the 4 and 5 star reviews herein are: «drinking» or «drinks» or, by inference, just plain«drunk». Fireworks does have a fine bar. And the more stewed you are the less you care about what you are putting into your mouth, which results in some fine 5 star reviews and a complacent management. Honestly, once is enough here as it doesn’t get better the second time. And if you’re back for a third go you won’t need the bar — it will be forgettable all on its own.

We came out here on a weekday for date night and it was surprisingly busy, but they sat us down pretty quick. I love the laid back and comfortable atmosphere that surrounds this place. They offer a variety of seating and it makes for a perfect place to come with friends. I was probably more of a fan of the restaurants atmosphere than the food itself. The crust could have been better on the pizzas, but the toppings were delicious. Our server was also friendly and sweet. Overall, I definitely recommend this place if you are visiting Brattleboro.

Our beloved Fireworks needs some work… We’ve been coming to Fireworks for years — it’s a beautiful place with great cocktails and service — but recently the quality of the food has become uneven. The last two pizzas we ordered had dried-out crusts and overcooked, tasteless toppings. Plus, after four years, the menu has become boring and predictable. It never seems to change. The same old pizzas and pasta, year after year. We’ve stopped going because we are so tired of the same old dishes. I would love to see the kitchen offer more bistro food — and LESS pasta, please! Anyone can boil noodles at home, let’s see what else your chefs can do!

Went to dinner here and it was just eh. The inside is nice in a cool little downtown area of Brattleboro but there were a few things that turned me off. For one, we had a very disinterested waiter as he forgot to get me a soda and also my pizza I ordered came with sausage when I had asked for no sausage. When my girlfriend ordered her pizza, he was unsure whether or not the kitchen had run out of gluten free crust and did not seem interested to finding out. The risotto we had for appetizer was delicious but everything was else was thumbs down.

Service was good, kids portions ok. Recommend the regular cheese pizza instead of kids version for left over purposes. Daughter loved the Mac n cheese. My dinner was so so, got the spaghetti special with lobster, VERY dry and over priced for the quality. I almost asked for a side of melted butter or marinara. I ate it all only because I paid 19 $ for it.

Fireworks has one of the best gluten-free pizza crusts I’ve tried, and the service was great. Just a warning: the pesto sauce does contain walnuts(rather than pine nuts), and there was not an indication of that on the menu. My companion has a severe nut allergy, but we were able to check the pesto ingredients with the cooks and swap marinara sauce on our Pizza Lila. I know it’s not a common practice yet, but I hope that future menus make a note of that for others with allergies.

Gluten free pizza and pasta options. Great service. The bacon manhattan is a must. The gluten free pizza is a nice menu item and the toppings are certainly good but the crust is a bit more like a cracker crust. If you like thin and crispy then you will enjoy.

First time here… I had read the Unilocal reviews and was really looking forward to a delicious meal. Left disappointed, however(and a bit hungry). The specialty cocktail, watermelon-ginger smash, had very little watermelon or ginger. Arugula salad was swamped with dressing, completely overpowering the greens and leaving them wilted. The bread with marinara sauce was only so-so. If only I had ordered what my compadres had ordered, I would have been a much happier camper. Although I would not recommend anything I had, I would recommend the broccoli rabe and pappardelle with wild mushrooms. Now those were tasty! Talk about food envy :(

Every now and then you visit a place that just has it totally together. Fireworks is friendly, hip, attractive, well-priced, and THEN you get to the food: really interesting tempting choices, lots of gluten-free options, and the ones I chose were great. Fireworks is not haute cuisine so you may ask how it could deserve 5 stars. I seldom give that many. But Fireworks just does everything right. For the record, Sopa de Lima is terrific chicken soup, tart and interesting. The Blue Moon pizza again was novel-squash with pesto and chicken. I liked it a lot. Arugula salad was yummy, and the mocha flan was amazingly creamy. Go !

Stopped at Fireworks on April 23, 2014 for the very first time. We had the Bolongese and a specialty pizza(requested it well done). Bottom line, everything was excellent. Draft beer was delicious, food was excellent, service(Julie) was terrific. They even use environmentally friendly to-go containers for leftovers. Highly and enthusiastically recommended. Can’t give it less than 5 stars. Note: I believe they serve food from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. but the bar opens at 4 p.m.

Stopped here for drinks while checking out the town of Brattleboro. The service was good — we sat at a high top table in the bar area — and our waitress checked on us frequently. The drink options were unique and tasty. We also tried a roasted pear appetizer which was just okay and a flour less chocolate cake, which was delicious. I enjoyed the atmosphere at the bar and had a great time.

Spent the night at Fireworks with some work friends and had a blast. The atmosphere was low key, relaxed, and the staff was great at dealing with our large group. We bought a ton of appetizers, and some pizzas for the table. The pizzas were delicious, but the calamari was a bit salty and cold. Overall the experience was great, and it was nice to have a nice wait staff.

Great food and service. We will be back and will recommend to others. Only downside to me was that the salad special was so large I couldn’t finish my entrée.

This place seems to have an owner who know how to run and operate a successful business. In so much that he actually consults on the side to help others be successful. I ordered take out and when I went to pick it up, it seemed to be the only restaurant that had patrons actually in it. I had a divine brick oven pizza — the Blue Moon which has butternut squash, sage pesto, roasted chicken and Gorgonzola cheese. The flavors all married well together and none of the ingredient dominated the others. The price is what you’d expect for an upscale pie. The next time in town, I think I’ll try the other items on the menu.
