This shop is a national treasure for fiber artists. All natural cloth and some of the most exquisitely curated collections of silks, brocades, velvety, sheets… vintage buttons, antique laces… the owner used to work in New York’s garment district and uses those connections to source some of the highest quality fabrics available today. And her collection of whites and ivories for weddings is unparalleled! A must stop but you’ll need hours. Don’t shortchange your visit.

This place looks like out of a fairy tale. Everything is white, lacy, delicate looking, and old looking(although it’s not). Twinkly little wine glasses and other ornamental glassware in addition to etherial looking scarves to please the ladies in your life. I really could just walk through for no reason just because who doesn’t like to be in princess bride-land once in a while? Found an Art Nouveau styled scarf of delicate silk for a very special relative of mine who soon will be 100 years old; the kind of place where you can find something to give that person who«has everything». The lady there wrapped it in «Nova Scotia» colors(we have that heritage so it’s a Canook thing. you wouldn’t understand loll). But seriously, they put all the little touches of customer service plus having very unique things you can’t find anywhere else… A find of a place!

Highly, highly disappointed in this shop! I came in looking for earrings to wear to my moms wedding and was happy to find a beautiful pair that I loved. While in the store, they were perfectly fine. I bought them, they were placed in a box, and I left the shop. When I got home I took them out to try on with my dress and was horrified! One of the earrings was completely broken and unfixable! On further inspection of the broken earring we found that it had been previously glued! You can image how mad I was to find that I had just paid 30 $ for damaged goods! As I am only in Vermont on weekends, I had no way of returning them. What kind of business sells broken products to their customers and does not inform them?!? I will not be going back to this shop, EVER!!!

This is a wonderful shop. I appreciate the name, as the fabrics are truly delectable. I’ve never seen silks like what are for sale. Customer service was wonderful as well. I will go back whenever I am in the area.

Came to Brattleboro specifically for this store and was a little disappointed to see how tiny it was. If you’re making a wedding or prom dress, they have tons of frilly things and more buttons than you could ever need. For regular fabric, perhaps for windows, they were lacking and it was too crowded to even browse.

This is a special store which the owner clearly LOVES and it shows — beautiful fabrics, buttons, jewelry and the flowers/plants accenting the entrance. Even if you’re not a seamstress you can enjoy shopping for a truly beautiful gift here. Whenever I shop here, I leave feeling better about our world and how many stores offer that experience?

This place is amazing! If you are looking for fabric to make a wedding dress, or some other special garment, this is the place for you. They have a huge selection of beautiful fabrics that you can’t find anywhere else in the area. They have all natural fabrics, like silk, linen and cotton, in lovely weaves and colors. They have a nice selection of cotton prints too. It was such a surprise to stumble upon this shop in downtown Brattleboro! They also have buttons and lace. Check out their website for more.
