Food was bad. My husbands sirloin steak was not even cooked. Totally raw, I mean raw! Sent back and still raw! My peach cobbler– the crust was not cooked– it was raw dough. I could not even eat it! The only good thing about this place was the waitress. Very nice! I felt sorry for her! If you see this place, run the other way!

Last year we spent Thanksgiving in Branson. We decided to go eat at «The Plantation’. This was one of the worst decisions of our family has ever made. Nasty carpeting and dirty windows are the least of your worries here. Atmosphere screams«Tourist Trap»!(I highly doubt they have any repeat customers here.) Tables are unkept, and filthy! Some food was still on the table when we arrived. The buffet was atrocious. Food was mixed as if someone had went to fast and spilt peas into the potatoes. Lights in the buffet were out, making some of the food cold. All five of us went to the buffet, and immediately notice that the turkey that were serving was dry and over cooked. Nevertheless, we thought that maybe the other food would make up for this… it didn’t! Cranberry sauce was disgusting, almost like they served it last year and froze it and reserved it. Stove Top dressing was worse than the normal Stove Top; it tasted like they had added herbs and spices that it by all means DIDNOT need. Mashed potatoes were the normal«half and half» recipe for buffet, which is understandable. Salad was terrible; the lettuce was old and limp. cucumbers were rubbery, and the tomatoes were mushy. If I was able to give less than one star I would. I would not recommend this to my worst enemy, PLEASEDONOTEATHERE!

typical American restaurant. I went for late lunch(3pm). Food on the buffet was a bit fried on the buffet. I ordered«All U can eat ribs» so they came fresh out from the kitchen. Ribs weren’t good because they weren’t grilled but boiled with some spice. I left sauce on the side. They allowed me to take the rest of ribs home which was great because normally«All U can eat won’t allow a doggy bag. Food is OK for American family, not me! Oh. there were 2 flies in the dinner room… yikes!

Very friendly staff. Patty melt is good. Buffett has typical fare. Iceberg lettuce was fresh. Cole slaw & fruit salad were not. Grilled chicken was ok. Fried chicken was flavorless. There was fried fish but no tartar sauce. Veggies were soggy. Ribs looked awful, but tasted ok. Fried okra was the frozen variety. Peach cobbler left a lot to be desired. Reasonable prices though.

Ok… we went there last year because we had read somewhere it was the Best Buffet in Branson or something… NO. NO. NO. My wife is not a picky eater and she complained about it. It wasn’t really dirty but not really clean either. Very outdated looking, the food on the buffet was not fresh and barely edible. Don’t know if there are open anymore but if we are lucky they aren’t. Don’t waste your time or money… it was awful.

I should have read the reviews before eating here. Breakfast buffet was limited(no toast, no cereal for kids, canned fruit, limited healthy options). Bathrooms(and coffee) were disgusting.

One word… H-O-R-R-I-B-L-E!!! We came here for Spring Break Vacation only due to the fact that Odee’s has closed down and the Country Buffet closes at 7pm on Sunday’s so a seemingly nice waitress said I recommend the Plantation… I now think she was an actual secret agent trying to kill us!!! The Plantation had nothing really left on the buffet for one. The items that were on the buffet looked like they had been sitting there for about three hours or more! We were told that, «This is what they had for the night and have ran out of a ton of things!» She secretly proceeded to say, «I don’t know why we are open!» There wasn’t anything on the buffet that was kid friendly due to the fact they had ran out… And then they proceeded to say that my 3 year old picky eater would cost us $ 6.99 for the buffet that had nothing for him to eat! My 10 year old nephew who is not a picky eater wouldn’t touch anything but the shrimp which was questionable health wise because of how long it had been sitting out there! The ice cream machine was broken, we tried a bite of the cobbler and that was all we could do… One bite! When we complained and told them that we were not going to pay $ 11.99 for how horrible it was we were told that, «It was our fault for not complaining sooner or for not checking it all out and for not knowing that their ice cream machine was broken!» REALLY??? Needless to say they will NEVER Get our business again and truly they don’t deserve any of yours either!!!

We had the breakfast buffet, it was okay for the price — $ 4.99. The coffee was bad, don’t get it! We waited a pretty good time for the waitress to come by, seems like she was the only one in our area at the time. We won’t be going back to this restaurant.

I don’t remember a lot about the Plantation. Except we had the buffet. AND it’s called the Plantation. That’s the kind of thing that sticks with you. nothing says ‘all you can eat crab legs in central Missouri’ like a place named after a deplorable part of our history. Oh, I think they had chicken fried steak when we were there. And spaghetti. And tilapia. Yikes. They also had a lot of old, Rascal-bound old-folks with their money on their value and their value on their mind. In fact, the scooter-people tended to be a bit of a hindrance. Look, I wanna hit up the soft-serve ice-cream bar as much as the next yokel, but we’re all gonna have to wait until Mama Cass is done assembling her tower of Berry-thon(that was supposed to be a play on ‘Babylon,’ but I couldn’t make it work). Everything said, I probably wouldn’t recommend the Plantation. Unless you’re really into slavery. In which case, it’d probably be pretty cool to get your picture taken in front of the sign. And also, ‘what are you thinking? You’re an awful human being.’

We went here about two years ago and it is another buffet with no seasonings just open a can of vegetables and warm it up, the rolls were not home made the fried chicken was greasy. They had a big selection but after I tied different things I realized I didn’t want to continue eating here. Just another tourist trap…

We have been to this place several times. This was our first trip at breakfast. They have live entertainment at 8AM. That is a bit early for me to listen to live music, especially country music. I need to be gently roused from my semi-conscious state with copious amounts of coffee and delicious biscuits and gravy, both of which The Plantation provide, albeit with the covers of famous country songs delivered by Stephen Wayne Clarke. Did I mention this fella only plays for tips? Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner-all freakin’ day-nothing but Mr. Clarke singing old country classics. Fortunately he has a decent voice and was easy on the ears. We couldn’t bring ourselves to go back again, even though they do have one of the best Breakfast buffets in the area. Just can’t do live shows at such an early hour.
