Great pizza, great view of the lake. Very friendly and helpful staff. My wife and I went here on a late honeymoon trip to Branson. Was a quiet day when we went, so was served fast, and order was correct. fair priced, and clean place. Was a great experience, and was even better than the one we have back home in Ames, Iowa.

I am currently at Old Chicago and our waiter does not even know the menu or does not how to describe the food. Hoping the food is better than the wait staff.

My experience of old Chicago was not very pleasant. For starters we were provided with a wobbly high bar table. When we asked for a change we were made to wait. Then the waitress seemed to have forgotten to wear her smile that day. And finally the pizza which I received after a long wait was not up-to the expectation.

Slowest service in town. Food is hit and miss. Some things are good, some things are bland and flavorless. I would only go there if you are planning to drink and distract yourself from how long you’ll be waiting.

Decent food… I think we just got a bad server, for example: we ordered a sweet tea and a raspberry tea, he forgot which was which when he got to the table. So… of course he sniffed both to figure it out. :/

Maybe we should have ordered pizza. My husband ordered fish and chips. More breaking than fish and very small with little flavor. I ordered the chicken salad. Upon its arrival I asked the server if it was a half or full because it was so small. He agreed it was small. A managers came out and said it was a little smaller than normal but not too much. Won’t be back at this location and will try pizza next time.

This was my first time eating here, but I must say it was tasty. I ordered a large Meat Me on the Chicago thick crust and a large Chicago 7 on tavern thin crust. I ordered it to go and the customer service was very nice. I noticed that they have a nice bars for a arcade area. The hostess even asked if I wanted a soda or water while I waited. It was a very busy Memorial Day weekend Saturday evening. But the staff was handling the crowd with ease. The pizza was good, plenty of toppings and all of the toppings were evenly placed around the pizzas. I will return.

We had wanted to try Old Chicago, so when our granddaughter graduated from the College of the Ozarks, we thought that a get together at Old Chicago would be nice. We called to make reservations, but they wouldn’t take our reservation, even though this page says they do. Oh well, we decided to show up and wait to be seated. Even though there were only a few occupied tables in the place, it took about 20 minutes to be seated. OK, They are a pizza and pub place. The food was OK, but I ordered a Tuscan pizza with fresh spinach. When it got there, it might be Tuscan but there was no spinach. I didn’t complain since I had no intention of waiting until they came up with another pizza . I ordered a pitcher of draft beer, but, sorry, they only do pitchers on Saturday.(Does this really pretend to be a pub?) I’m glad I decided to eat there so I know not to repeat the experience.

One hour thirty minutes to get our meal. Server would disappear for 20 minutes at a time. Very slow service! Food was eh, not bad not good. Almost every beer on the list was tapped out, server didn’t know what was left so it was guess and miss. Never again.

There are many pizza places that offer average quality pizza. This Old Chicago location is one of them.

This location may just hit the spot of #1 Old Chicago’s in my book. We sat at the bar on Saturday evening and had a great time. Adam and Brandon(I think was his name… he told me, I forget) were awesome. We had some great craft beers and split the nachos. Our hometown OC doesn’t make them this big, so I’m glad I didn’t try to eat this on my own! This was enough for a meal for each of us and we had leftovers! Amazing. We were able to cheer on the Royals and enjoyed everything about it. If I lived anywhere close, this would be my go to spot. So glad we stopped in!

Good craft beer choices. The apple walnut salad alone is worth the trip. Good for watching the game as well.

Pizza was good… The firehouse wings were ok. Budweiser was awesome. Kids enjoyed spaghetti. Felt bad for our server as he seemed over worked. Cant be more pleased with draft beer menu though.

We came back after our last trip to branson and thinking the pizza was actually pretty good. 2nd time epic fail. Pizza order was wrong and the dough was soft and mushy. Waitress was nice enough about it, but with younger kids having to wait for round two on the pizza isn’t easy. Doesn’t really resemble Chicago style pizza either. Hey at least the beer was cold!

Huh? I don’t understand how they can claim to have Chicago style pizza when it doesn’t resemble it at all! It was basically a fresher version of Pizza Hut. Very disappointed. I would say come for the beer selection, but you have to remind them you ordered some.

We stopped in expecting«Chicago» style pizza. The waiter said it wasn’t really«authentic Chicago style pizza» when I asked him if I should try pizza or a Stromboli. Then, I asked which was better in his opinion. He said he didn’t know. Then…it was probably 30 minutes before our food came. The food was pretty good and the patio has a beautiful view of the lake. But, the waiter seemed very disinterested in giving any advice to first timers and it took a really long time for what we ordered. As for pricing, lunch specials for $ 8 and generous kids meals at $ 4.50.

NOTHAIPIEANYMORE!!! BOO! Their Thai Pie was the best but they don’t carry it anymore. They tried to recreate it, but it wasn’t nearly as good. Kudos for trying to make it for us though. I feel like the food quality isn’t as good as other Old Chicagos I’ve had. I love the one in Conway, AR. The chicken was really dry and the Thai sauce wasn’t a whole lot different than marinara. Everyone loved the thin crust Double Deckaroni, though. The beer selection is great for the area and the happy hour beer specials were great. I don’t think that’s enough to bring me back, though.

I have a lot of qualms with a) chain restaurants and b) restaurants that advertise and allude to Chicago deep dish yet serve a simple pan crust pizza. However, contrary to most of the previous reviews, we had a good experience at this Old Chicago. First, the service and wait… We had a large group(10+) on a Saturday evening. Our group did have to wait, but I think we were seated before the estimated wait time had expired. The strange thing about this restaurant was that there were tons of people waiting, yet there were also tons of empty booths and tables. From this observation and the previous reviews, it seems this restaurant is understaffed. That being said, our waitress was very good and prompt. Our food came out very quickly too, like surprisingly quickly, like I didn’t even have time for two beverages quickly. It also all came out at the same time which was impressive for such a large group. The space… This restaurant is within The Landing, a shopping center located on the waterfront of Lake Taneycomo, which offers a nice glimpse of nature through the commercialized world’s eyes. The restaurant is large, and has lots of spaces for large groups. It also has an awesome back deck complete with outdoor pool tables. A great place to enjoy some brews. On to the food… I have an inherent problem with this place because they say it’s Chicago deep dish, but if you’ve had Chicago deep dish then you would know this junk doesn’t even come close. Please, just stop with the lies and call it what it is, a thick crust pizza. Old Chicago’s food is very heavy, greasy, and generally unhealthy, and good luck finding any nutrition information or «healthy choice» options on their menu(or even online). That being said, if you want greasy, thick crust pizza then this will hit the spot! For me, it has 2 redeeming qualities: large beer menu and the Tuscan chicken spinach pizza. Once I gave up on healthy idea, I ordered the Tuscan chicken spinach pizza, and I was pleasantly surprised. It was quite delicious. In the past, I would groan when Old Chicago was chosen as the meal place, but after eating that pizza I know I can at least look forward to some delicious, greasy bites and an extensive beer menu.
